You gotta ask yourself:

Do you want subscribers who only subbed because they felt bad for you because you begged, or do you want subscribers who subbed because they enjoy the content you put out?

If you want the latter, I'd suggest not begging for more subs, or doing any of that "sub4sub" thing that many people do. You might not get thousands of subscribers every month, but the ones you do get will be ones actually worth having because they subbed for the videos, not because you asked them to.
