Well apparently it does not update the stats when host leaves. I will have to see if the theater has the full match but last night playing S&D I went 11-4 where we had a host migration when I was 5-4.
On Elite this morning my recent games shows 5-4.
We actually had 2 dashboarders, one when we made 3-2, we were down 3-1, and the other in the OT when we launched 2 predators, had 2 care packages and a UAV. Within the first 15 seconds they were down to 1 player alive, guess what happened?
Again I will look at theater to see if I can prove it, BUT I know this is what happened. And I remember being at 5 and getting my UAV, Care package and pred in the round that tied it at 3 which put me at 10 and gave me my streak rewards. I got one with a predator and didn't have a chance to set my care package.

Amen. I never know who ishost anymore like I used to be notified. I have seen entire lobbies start off as red and yellow, then jump everyone to 3-4 bars.

Thanks for letting us know the difference between 'rage quit' and 'dashboard'. From now on, I am only going to dashboard.

Why? I never really thought the stats were being lost in the first place. I want to dashboard because if a game is pushing me to the point of quitting, then I'm taking every lagging cheater with me. It's only fair because...

1. I didn't chose ot be host.

2. If the other players had better connections, I wouldn't feel cheated and would keep playing.

3. This broken game needs a real fix, not some simple 'focre them to play with stats' BS.

You don't like dashboarding? Well bud, maybe you need to stop and consider that it's not all about YOU. Did you ever consider that that amazing game that you lost was so amazing because you were lagging on the host and that's why he quit? Maybe you did, but I don't care. The stats in this game are a joke so this patch means jack whether it's real or not.

I didn't know what dashboarding was, but now it's going to be the only way I quit. My game, my choice. Thanks OP.

As I said earlier this thread. I play solo mainly due to hrs worked. In GW. Didn't say all that but...this. I will Sign out and not take losses or deaths, kills. Well I even leave if winning and keep getting lag killed by a Guato.

No it won't. I have had it happen more since this last patch.

we were tied 64-64 KC and I dropped a stealth which killed all 6 then bam back to our party lobby. LOL

It was a clan too..ExP! I think.

Ps3 doesn't have a dash borad so I never dash borad while leaving games on a ps3 so how can a patch fix dash borading if the ps3 don't have one

anyone who is smart even a little knows its impossible to stop dashboarding. srsly. If i disconnect my internet, I WILL get kicked from game. instead of saying stop dashboarding, a better title would be, Dashboarding doesnt work on stats anymore, if it's true what I hear, that "if you dashboard u still get a lose"

This patch doesn't fix dashboarding at all. I just left a game after a couple minutes to see and my stats were the same as before the game.

Sorry your excessive use of emoticons enrages me and makes you look like a total douchebag.

Obviously this a PS3 forum, but dashboarding is a pretty universally accepted term for signing out. I was directing this at people who had a clue and knew what I was talking about. Its the same mechanic for XBox and PS3, sorry for using a term thats generally understood to describe it so that the small majority of people who live under a rock didn't understand it, my bad.

No you dumb person. Not everyone like you watch youtube videos and call a Sony PS3 like a Microsoft Xbox. This section of the MW3 forum is for PS3. If you are talking about SIGNOUT that is PS3. DASHBOARDING is part of Xbox. You even said it yourself:

Yes, the reason this happened is becasue there was an error recording the stats post game. Ever been in a game where afterword you get get kicked from the lobby and have a "error couldn't connect to host" message? The theory is that from that point on your stats don't register. I don't know how true that is, but thats what I gather.

They switched it so the stats update at some point duing the game now, so even if you are disconnected, the stats still counted. The goal was not to stop dashboarding, it just seems like a great side effect

As far as what I have read. This patch is to mainly help the people who were being deranked. people were losing all stats gained. I think it happened to SnipingD.

do you have any idea how much lag real time stat updates would cause to an online game.

what that prevent stat loss refered to was a known glitch that was wiping peoples stats and resetting them abit

its the exact same thing. you sign out of the PSN, maybe you don't get to the dashboard as they call it on XBox but you do the exact same ****. I'm pretty sure everyone knows what I'm talking about when I say dashboard, no need to be a douchebag and point out its different terminology *******.

Mr. dlundebjerg28, source is from a XBOX player (aka Youtuber Commenter) so his source is not creditable to us PS3 user.

A PS3 user would "SIGNOUT."

A XBOX user would dash their board. (Maybe that why its call a dashboard. HAHA?)
