I had the same problem as you guys. I ended up buying a custom controller from evil contollers that flipped the L3 and R3 functions and it has worked perfectly for me. This is not spam. I dont use any other mods on the controller nor do I endorse or encourage their use. I just saw no other solution to the issue and I did not feel like relearning a control scheme I was so used to only to have to relearn it again to play old cod games or maybe even block ops 2. It's an expensive solution but well worth it in my opinion since I love mw3 so much.The inability to get Marksman pro with the lefty control scheme also sucks but I doubt they will fix that either.

It has become obvious that Activision has gone to ****, this button layout for left handed people is garbage...... I urge all left handed people to boycott Activision games. I cannot believe they are this incompetent that they cannot fix this lefty button problem. For me no more Activision games , I have been a loyal fan of the COD series since day 1, but this is my last...................

Surely it can be done with a game update like Perfect dark on xbox live arcade.
we don't need a complete rewrite, just two buttons need flipping.

According to Federico of the ACTIVISION CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM "I'm afraid that is not possible to modify the current disposition of the controllers" This is reply to message I sent through Activision site. I personally think this is bullshit..... I guess it is just take the money and run.... Maybe we should get a large group of left handed players affected by this change and file CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT for DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LEFT HANDED PEOPLE...............
