I'm not sure how everyone else feels but I'm sure it’s safe to assume that everyone is equally perturbed about all the special character being taken out of the clan tag option. It wasn’t such a big deal at first but over time now it is a little ridiculous. My clan for one can not portray our original clan tag which is already all over our website, clothing, jerseys, hats, facebook, etc. In all it would cost us over 7,000$ to refund our current members and create new gear. This is a little absurd that because of individuals taking advantage of the special character privilege that once again we as a whole are punished. Our clan as a whole, are looking into personally hiring a lawyer and pressing charges against Activision. If anyone else agrees with me show your support. They are taking away the right of us being able to represent ourselves like we have over the last 7 years, and it is unjust.

Young gamers! This is an "M" or "18" rated game there shouldn't be any young gamers and if there are then you can't complain about what they see or hear!

Has a lot to do with it actually. You're claiming that only children are offended by immature emblems and clan tags. Which means you seem to figure only mature adults are making those childish emblems.

I'm 22 years old and I find every single person that creates those types of emblems and clan tags to be both childish and idiotic. Do I need a daycare service? No. Should the people making them be banned? Yes. Is it possible to ban them all? No. Is it better to simply ban the ability to make those types of tags? Duh.

I'd also like to point out that I've run into 5 year olds that are more mature than the adults you're sticking up for.

i believe it was done because people used it as a way to get around the profanity rules. they would insert symbols that resembled letters. i think it's a good move if they are trying to limit the things young gamers read. just make a new clan tag or use an actual letter. it's not hard to do. im sure gamebattles would even be willing to help in some way since it's affected entire clans. i think it's kinda petty to complain about this when it has a logical reason behind it lol. people really do complain about everything on call of duty...

If you are going to all of that trouble and not banning people that talk about men sucking cock all day over their mic's then WHAT IS THE POINT? Yeah, you can mute people all day, but what is heard cannot be unheard. Let's welcome ourselves back to reality for a minute and start fixing whatever was done to cause excessive lag from the 1.09 patch instead of wasting time, energy, and resources on stupidity like this.

I found out that I could no longer have my "." clan tag a few days ago. I changed it over to "3OH3", but just because I got to prestige 13 and wanted the colored clan tag. To be honest though, I'd rather have no title over this. So when I finally get to 15/50, I'll probably erase it till I get my original tag back.

I'm pretty sure they said they removed them for extra security purposes. Telling them to put them back in is like saying "Please make the game less secure so I don't have to change my clan tag.".

Really? You guys are complaining about this? I never imagined that the community would get so whiny that we'd resort to complaining about something as useless as clan tag symbols being removed. It's not that big of a deal, in fact it in no way affects your ability to play the game. It's not important or essential, so stop complaining, because obviously Treyarch shared the same sentiment.
