I will say this: 3arch isn't making Ghosts, and it's not Modern Warfare.

However, I'm going to respond to RSW1PE's triple comment, Black Ops II and Ghosts at the same time.

I went and got something from Gamestop the other day, and I was asked if I wanted to preorder Ghosts. My response was simply since they have decided to screw PC players over in 3 of the last 4 games, I'm not jumping on the bandwagon for this game until I know quite a bit more about it. Since MW2, the only game that didn't screw over PC players was Black Ops, and even there were some issues with it, but at least we got real dedis from it.

It is all about the bottom dollar, and as with the analogy someone used earlier, they are just simply dangling carrots in from of our face.

We get screwed out of the Elite perks because, well, the majority of them were things PC players already had access to....stats, tutorials, so on....They tried to make up for MW2 by stating there were dedis in MW3 till you find out that they were player ran from their own computers and nonrentable...and unranked....at least till people managed to go through the code and change it to make it to where people were getting 10k+ xp per kill....and the hackers on that game were atrocious.

Then of course BO2 (I refuse to call it by a made up word and use a proper acronym, but that's just me) is coming out and we are told it is going to have dedis in it, and find out that we have no control over any of those, they keep changing the playlist on a whim, there's next to no hardcore modes which is what my friends and I play, the bonus map you got for preordering the game is only available in softcore, and that's when it's even available to play at all.

Suffice it to say, ever since the day these companies (3arc, IW, and just about any of the other ones) decided to swing off the testicles of the console makers, they kind of forgot the players who actually got them to where they could, you know, make the console games in the first place.

But I guess I can't really say much, because I've bought every CoD game since CoD4, so I'm guilty of funding their ripping us off too.

Well, here's another problem: The majority, although definitely not all, of the players that I've run into that have been cheating aren't from the states. Most of them I have ran into are from Russia or various places in Europe.

As someone has pointed out, you also have the problem of people are now hacking other people's accounts, or in some cases I have seen, spoofing other people's accounts, so then you're not even sure if the person you're playing with is actually the person that needs to be banned.

The main problem I have with hackers now (aside from the obvious of them ruining the game) is that I've been playing the game now since 2 1/2 weeks after it came out, and I can't have a good game anymore without someone accusing me of cheating, and I haven't cheated at any of these games since I started playing FPS games over 15 years ago.

There are some who are trying to help out, e.g. Xifon who made the MW3 Server Admin and Reporting Tool to report and upload demos directly from your theater to BanCandy, but the problem is, unless something has changed, they have basically put one person in charge of policing 3 different systems (PS3, Xbox and PC), and one person can only do so much. This is also where in lies the problem of not having true dedicated servers, and trying to turn a PC game into a console game (using the ranked lobby system as the only means of truly progressing through the game, doing challenges, etc), because now it can take weeks, or even months, for someone to get banned, if they get banned at all, instead of being able to be instabanned, or banned within a day or two.

As was also previously mentioned, when you play these games, or buy a game system to play online, you agree to the code of conduct (or equivelent) of said game/console, which is why if you do cheat/hack/aimbot/whatever, they have a right to ban you from playing, because you have already been made aware of what you are agreeing to to be able to play online, and the rules as such, and therefore, you break the rules, you pay the consequences.

I would like to see cheaters of any type (aimbotters, wall/texture hacks, Liberation/Chaos users) instabanned. Yeah, MW3 Liberation/Chaos are another major problem with this game. I was unaware of what it was till I ran into someone who was calling in uavs every other second, and called one in as soon as a game started. So I looked up to find out how they did it, and this/these program(s) will let you basically have all your killstreaks, not die (god mode), disable the theater of other players, crash other players games, keep people from kicking you, and who knows what else (only looked at it once, so if you want to know more about it than that, you'll have to look it up yourselves).

I know that I'm hoping for too much from this game, but I can dream.
