Titanfall looks like it's going to kill COD on the pc next year, as I don't think it will affect the sales of COD Ghost's simply because of the fact that Titanfall doesn't come out till next year.

I am not thinking about hitting the pre-order button on either Ghost's or Titanfall right now because we do not know for sure what the server and anti-cheat system will be on either game.

Titanfall on Xbox One will use Dedicated Servers but, it has not been said if the PC will also have Dedicated Servers or not and what has also not be mentioned is about whether they will be community ran or Respawn ran servers as to whether, it's basically like the COD 4 style servers or Black Op's 2 type servers.

Mod and Mapping tools I doubt will come for Titanfall, since Respawn have already said that yes they are using the Source Engine, it does not mean all features will be usuable to the general public as they have apparently heavily modified the engine to suit there needs.

With Ghosts again we don't know the server situation and I don't expect to find out what the server situation is, until around the 28th October since the developers normally leave the bomb shells till either 1 or 2 weeks before the release of the game, knowing that they will have had quite a few pre-orders from people who are either ignorant to the facts or are just foolish enough to buy anything that has COD in the name.

For me Titanfall needs rentable servers and admin options for those who rent them, and it needs to use Punkbuster and I will tell you now as soon as I hear that information I will hit the pre-order button for it, but until then I am not doing anything about it.

Ghost's again will need to have rentable ranked dedicated servers with the renter of said server being able to kick people for cheating etc, as I am sick and tired of coming up against people who are either cheating in Black Op's 2 or who are just racially abusing another player.

Oh and when I say cheating, I don't mean the likes of Aimbot's and Wallhacks because I generally don't come across them or people actually using cheats, but what I do mean is people who are playing against me when I have a 40ms to 60ms ping and they have a ping of over 100ms because that is basically as bad as using a wallhack.

I am actually tempted on Black Op's 2 to record some live gameplay, and then record it from Theatre and match it up and see what the difference between the 2 is, since we know the Theatre playback is actually what has happened compared to the live which has all the lag comp etc on it.

Either way what ever the Call Of Duty game next year is, it will need to pull a rabbit out of the bag I think to compete with Titanfall if they are released around the same time, I also think though that Ghost's is going to struggle this year going up against Battlefield 4, and whilst I don't think Battlefield 4 will kill Ghost's I do think it will damage the sales due to the fact, that Dice are actually paying attention to the PC version of the game, compared to how the COD developers pay no attention to the PC version of the game.

Look at the fact that Dice have released a Aplha to random people to aid in testing the back end systems etc and actually are working on the bugs that have been reported by the testers, but with COD we will not have that again.

I hope it doesn't because if someone chooses to use a controller on the pc then, they should suffer from the lower accuracy etc that a controller gives.

If you have not finished it then you have missed out.

The one thing I have done with every Call Of Duty game is complete the single player campaign.

Only COD 4 and 5 have I actually played the campaign more than once, but since it only takes me around 3 to 4 hours to complete them it's to much of a issue.

The cheats used in the single player of COD 4 was the one, where iirc when you kill someone they turn in to tires and the colour or was it MW2 can't remember exactly but it was funny.

The zombies ammo cheat and speed cheat was fun, and only got used in private games with my mates but when I was playing with just random players I never used it.

I am going to post a video tonight, or maybe 3 videos where I was reported for cheating.

I have never cheated on a multiplayer game, sure I have cheated in single player games such as Quake, Doom, and COD 4 which gives the cheats in the options menu for single player, but I have never cheated in a multiplayer game.

I got banned on PB and that was reversed after proving that it was a program that was running on my pc that didn't relate to the game I was playing, and had no influence in the game.

I have no bans on Steam or Origin.

I have been reported thousands of times to Valve as being a cheater, since Modern Warfare 2 to Black Op's 2.

I will never be banned though for cheating because I do not cheat and I do not need to, as I am happy playing the game with what skill I have knowing that I can beat people and people will beat me since I don't have a ego problem.

I think this Siiiide person is the former forum, Crapduster, C-Duster, Rawtoast and all the other names he used, and if I am correct then it does not matter what you do you will never prove that you are not a cheat.

I uploaded a video to youtube of me formatting my hard drive, installing Windows and Modern Warfare 3 etc then jumping straight in to a game, and winning most of the games and even though you could see everything that was installed I was still called a cheater.

I played on a American server and won, a game but Rawtoast at the time edited the video to make it look like I use a cheat until I uploaded the game.

What makes me laugh is the quality of the recordings that these people upload to youtube as proof that someone is cheating, or trying to prove they are not a cheat.

Don't use such stupidly low bit rates and resolutions for the videos because it does not help your case at all because the quality is to low.

With my monitor, it supports 75hz at the lower resolutions in windows but not at the native 1920x1080.

Battlefield 3 and other games all with the refresh rate option in the games video options menu shows, 75hz as a option but in Black Op's 2 it runs at 75hz until I start recording with Fraps, but for some reason even though I have Fraps set to record at 60fps, it seems to be recording all the time at either 120fps or 180fps.

If it records at 60fps, the I can see a weird sort of screen roll at the bottom but if it records at 80fps and upwards I don't get that issue.

No worries mate.

As for the config files, Treyarch made it so you couldn't find or edit them because they don't want people who know what they are doing, making the game better for themselves whilst those that don't know what they are doing don't get the same advantages.

Also you can in the Config file turn on or off things, that the options in the game don't show and as such some of them could be classed as a cheat and as such, Treyarch don't want you doing that.

A larger FOV can be seen as a cheat, because you are seeing more of the map than others because you have a larger FOV.

In the Modern Warfare 3 forums, there was loads of talk about the FOV Changer because people were using it and it was giving them a advantage over those who were not using it.

The FOV on MW3 was set to 65 or 60 and you couldn't change it in game, and then came on the FOV changer and you could get a FOV of up to about 80 or 90 and the tool got thousands of downloads and it, helped so many people play much better and kill people that they wouldn't have seen without it.

In the end Infinity Ward iirc and Valve said they would not ban for it, but I am not sure if Treyarch would ban for it since it's giving you a advantage technically over other people although all it's doing is fixing the poor coding of the game.

I would strongly suggest send PCDev a message on Twitter to find out before you do anything else and then you will have something to fall back on, if you get banned for using it if he replies that is.

As Obmar said don't boost or help people to boost as that will get your rank reset for a first time minor offence, but if you keep doing it eventually you will be perma banned from the game.

I suggest reading this thread and that will tell you what, you may have done and what will happen next time you are caught.

@ Mods/Admins About Posting Errors

Everytime I try to post a reply to a question or a post in a thread on these forums I always get 1 error, and sometimes a 2nd error.

The 1st error happens only occasionally and that is a little dialogue box appears saying "Bad Gateway" and it's only on the Call Of Duty forums and only since the forums were updated to this latest incarnation,

The 2nd issue happens every time and that is after clicking the post button, it says "An error occurred while trying to submit your post. Please try again later"

Now this happens whilst I am at work and we use IE9, which is annoying and I cannot change it or even update it but it also happens at home on other browsers.

The only way for me to actually post is to type it all out, and then hit the post button and then wait for the error to occur and then right click and click on refresh.

That will 99.99% of the times make my post appear but sometimes on a very rare occasion the post just disappears.

There is another issue but I have stopped trying to do what causes it to happen and that is, when you copy a piece of text from one post on these forums and then try to paste, it in your reply that text will disappear and then everything you type after it cannot be seen and sometimes if you stop typing for more than a few seconds the page will reload and it, will ask you if you want to use the recovered data or delete it and it doesn't matter which option you choose it always deletes the previous data.

Now I am not a web designer but I think there is a issue with the code of the website, and I am not sure what software you are using but I think you need to get someone to look at it, and if you are using VBulletin 5 I think it is that has all the issues with it, I would suggest getting rid of it and changing to Simple Machines Forum Software as even without any knowledge, when my clan was moving server and hosting provider we were going to be without a forum for around 2 weeks due to issues and I created a forum for my clan in under 20 minutes, that worked perfectly with no issues.

I have started this topic instead of sending a PM to a MOD or Admin so that those people who have the same issue, can see how I get around it so that the replies that they make on threads actually show for people as I have seen numerous threads with replies showing, but when you look at them there is only the original post.

There is no option in the game to be able to change the refresh rate of your monitor iirc.

I did send PCDev a message on Twitter a while ago asking for the option but got no response.

All I can think is that, the developers left it till the last minute to deal with the PC version of this game since the refresh rate option is available in nearly every single game on the market.

The other thing that I think is that the devs also assumed (I know) that no one on the PC uses a monitor with a higher refresh rate than 60hz.

Have you changed the FOV using the ingame option?

If you have then you might need to look for a FOV fixer, for Surround Gaming but be warned that it could lead to you being banned but I am not sure.

Otherwise contact PCDev on Twitter, since this forum doesn't get questions answered by the devs.

Set your search to 60ms.

I have had to set mine to 60ms just to find a game in Hardcore modes as the hardcore servers have higher pings than the softcore servers.

Every hardcore server I have joined has always given me a ping of around 50ms, and the only time I get a ping under that is when the servers are lagging for everyone at which point I can get pings of under 20ms or under 30ms.

When I play softcore I always have pings of around 40ms and sometimes it has hit as low as 25ms.

Play hardcore TDM with it and play the full match and then check how many it shows.

Then if it is still showing the same send PCDev or PCDev_Assist a message on Twitter with the screenshot and ask them to look in to it.

Just out of curiosity have you got all the previous camos for the guns?

I have tried setting mine at different levels from 30 to 180 and I always get in to the same lobbies with the same pings of anything from 50ms to 100ms, sometimes I have pings of over 300ms which just means I am playing as if I have god mode on.

If I have a ping of less than 50ms I can barely kill anyone, and I have found that in this game anything from 50ms to 65ms means I can kill people and die but anything over 65ms and usually it's difficult for people to kill me.

The issue is to many people have the ping preference set to default because either they are in a region where there are no servers, or because they know the higher your ping the better your experience is going to be.

I am not sure if the playlist is still there or not, but there was a Uprising playlist when it was first released.

When I go to a lobby for a game of TDM etc I generally play more of the original maps but I do end up on quite a few of the newer maps as well, but if people in the lobby don't like them then we all end up on the standard maps.

This is one of the biggest issues with DLC and Matchmaking, because you always find people will vote for the maps they want instead of it being on a set rotation with no map choice, which would make it allot better because, then you will know that every map will be played rather than only 3 or 4 maps.

The issue is they have the money for the game from the people who bought it, and now they are not interested.

If they actually wanted people to play the game more, and get more people playing the game then they have 1 option but they won't do it.

Give the players rentable ranked dedicated servers with admin rights and a server browser, with a choice of provider not just 1 provider.

Then we can all find a server that has the lowest ping with players in it, and play on that server so we are all on a equal footing in terms of ping, instead of someone being on 100ms or more dominating the game because everyone else is on 50ms or less.

The stupid thing is, I should have known before the game was released that the servers and matchmaking would be this bad since, Treyarch are well known for providing the worst server system known to man in Call Of Duty games.

MW2 was P2P and I never suffered with lag, and when I was host no one suffered from lag.

Black Op's was using rentable servers with a server browser, so it should have been just like COD 4, however they locked it down to 1 GSP who are the worst GSP I have ever had the misfortune of using. The servers crashed when they were full, they lagged when they were empty or full, they constantly rebooted themselves, they constantly kicked people for no reason.

The servers in Black Op's gave a far worse gaming experience that was had on previous COD games, including MW2.

MW3 came along and was using the P2P system again, and again I had no issues at all with it in terms of lag etc, but there was a few issues which was caused by stupid hosts such as hacked lobbies etc but still it was, a better gaming experience than was had with Black Op's.

Then Black Op's 2 came along and they Treyarch promised so much with there servers, and always on admins etc kicking and banning cheaters etc etc.

The servers are laggy

The servers randomly disconnect people

The lag comp destroys the game

The ping limiter is useless

I could go on and on but I would be here for the rest of the day typing.

Needless to say Treyarch will not help to fix the game, all they will do is placebo patches and release the DLC since they are alreaady working on the next Call Of Duty due for release next year Thursday 06th Novemeber 2014.
