As many of you out there, I play Call of Duty. It's doesn't matter the console or how I rank as a player. This is about the Call of Duty franchise.

Call of Duty: Elite is an online service created by the Activision subsidiary Beachhead Studios for the multiplayer portion for the first-person shooter video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and then later adapted for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The service features lifetime statistics across multiple games as well as a multitude of social-networking options. Initially the service was for paying subscribers and with a free version also available, the subscription based portion of Elite includes exclusive premium features such as monthly downloadable content, daily competitions with virtual and real life prizes, the ability to level up players' clan, pro analysis and strategies, Elite TV, and more. The service has since became a free service for all.

Now, as a fellow gamer to all of you... My question is why haven't they updated the service? Half the time it doesn't even work, either online (regardless of browser), console or phone. It has tons of errors. I want to use the service but it seems to be a complete waste of time and energy. They even cut out perks of leveling up the clan like "2XP or double experience points", something I know each clan rather enjoyed. Now we get backgrounds for our clan. Whoopie!

All I want is a service that provides the services set forth by Activision and Beachhead, to work. And better perks for ranking up our clan. At least this way the service doesn't become obsolete. Or has it already?

Another thing is... Why does Activision or the game creators like Infinity Ward or Treyarch still allow cheaters (boosters) and lag? I would prefer a region based game play versus a randomized version of connectivity so I don't get some generic connection. I am hard-wired and still get lag. I shouldn't have to "port forward" anything. And then there's the "boosters". The reporting system, quite frankly, sucks. I have seen numerous cheaters, hackers and boosters while playing the next big Call of Duty title and reported them. You know what happens? NOTHING. It's simply ridiculous to think that they simply just made that feature as a comfort to you, the honest gamer.

Now what can we expect from Call of Duty: Ghosts? Probably much of the same thing. Lag and boosters. As well as a service like Elite not to function properly.

One last thing. Why can't the hardcore playlist have the same number of games in the playlist as core players? I feel as a "hardcore gamer" I am limited to those the few choices for which mode I play. Come on, what happened to equality?

Please, for the love of CoD, change the "HARDCORE" playlist...

I am probably one of the many that am pleading with both Treyarch and Activision to please, either add or change the game modes in the hardcore playlist. I believe it is unfair and bias for so-called hardcore players to be subjected to only 4 different modes (Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, Capture the Flag, and Kill Confirmed) as Core players get a wider array of modes (as pictured here). This practice of being selective on which we get to play is unfair.

I personally think adding a "Mosh Pit" to the Hardcore playlist is something many of the hardcore players may like. Thus giving us more of a variety. So Treyarch and Activision the "ball is in your court". Are you even going to listen or like most of the time, just ignore your fans?

I cannot find the info on the subject. I see things like "prestige all guns" and "unlock everything", however I'm a legit 10th prestige level 55 and there's simply not enough tokens with all the classes also. My only option at this point "stat reset". Um no. Not that my stats are great but the time and efforrt to get there is not going to be a waste just to reset. So how do I get "Master Prestige"?

ATTENTION--> Treyarch & Activision Won't Read this <--ATTENTION

I am a daily player like most of you out there. Always trying to keep up-to-date with the latest title of Call of Duty. However there has always been one thing that boggles my mind.... The Hardcore playlist. Ok, so there might be more core players and there might not be enough space on the servers to accommodate some players wishing more hardcore options. But why is that?

I am primarily a "hardcore" gamer and would much rather have more options, but neither Treyarch or Activision care. They don't heed this or many other complaints as legitimate concerns. But personally think it is a disgrace. After Black Ops II cause my Playstation to "brick", I had almost lost interest. (Oh and before the patch, it "bricked" because of the hard resets. Which caused irrefutable damage to my hard drive.)

So I ask you the reader to post and continue to do so requiring action to get more modes onto the hardcore playlist. I am requesting "HARDCORE DOMINATION", what's your nomination for hardcore?

[REMOVED BY MODERATOR - Post Clan Recruitment in the Clan Sub-forum]

Will Activision or Infinity Ward read this? PROBABLY NOT!

I have been addicted to the Call of Duty franchise for the last few titles (W@W, COD4, MW2, BO, MW3.. getting BO2) and while (at times) I feel it was worth every cent spent for it (with map packs and all), I have been rather upset with the LAG. Not only that but I have been receiving "Disc Read Error" or "Black Screen" quite a bit. This seriously inhibits my desire to play online.

Before I go any further, I have tried it all. Clearing cache, deleting game data (re-installing it), reset modem, disc in perfect condition, yet this problem has only recently surfaced. I have heard that this is now becoming common among other players. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Also the Elite service sucks. I am in a level 32 (at the time I post this) clan, yet I must submit a request when our clan unlocks a new emblem. That's sad. Or what of the fact that when our clan levels up, we get new titles as well right? Not me. Page 2, second column... Supposedly we were to receive titles from Elite. I haven't. Basically it's a useless service, as a founder I am ashamed. I probably will not renew my subscription.

So, Activision or Infinity Ward care to address these concerns? Don't worry though I won't hold my breath.

Though I wish I lived in CANADA. Maybe it'll get them to change their mind about these "EXCLUSIVE DLC" timelines. This comes from a post by djxtc25 on the MW3 forums. I just hope their is some truth to this matter.

http://callofduty.com/people/d829d395a8f87d302dc467174575fb00

Hi Guys,

I'm a co-founder of the Canadian Gamers Organization. We are a consumer advocacy group in Canada. Most non XBOX gamers that have purchased elite premium memberships quite rightly believe that it is unfair to give these map packs out to XBOX first. We believe that this practice is unfair, punishes non-XBOX users, undermines other consoles in the market, and most importantly is not legal in Canada. Today our Organization has filed a complaint with The Canadian Federal Competition Bureau and asked them to further investigate this pact between Microsoft and Activision. The letter sent in on behalf of the Canadian Gamers Organization is as follows:

The Canadian Gamers Organization (CGO) is a consumer advocacy group for Canadian Gamers. We are contacting you to get more information on the legality of an agreement made between XBOX and game publisher Activision around the Call of Duty game series. Microsoft has initiated into a partnership with the publisher Activation in which non-XBOX consumers have a penalty put on them for the availability of new content for this game. We are specifically concerned around a penalty being applied to premium consumers of Call of Duty Elite in which many gamers have spent approx $50 CDN for 9 months of additional game content which includes the purchase of addition maps for the game on all platforms. Consumers who have purchased Elite Premium Memberships have a reasonable expectation upon point of sale that all Elite Premium members would be receiving content at the same time, and nothing was disclosed for those who purchased the game and premium memberships. In December, the developer of the game officially published that XBOX Call of Duty Elite Premium Members would be receiving premium content first.

The partnership Microsoft has with Activision is that XBOX platform users would receive new additional DLC one month ahead of every other platform. We are also concerned about the lack of disclosure of such an arrangement towards consumers on point of sale, and through advertising especially through the Call of Duty Elite Premium memberships. CGO feels the current arrangement between Microsoft and Activision is unfair to the consumer that uses a non-XBOX version of the game, and maybe an attempt by Microsoft to gain an unfair competitive edge over other gaming platforms by putting penalties on consumers for not owning a suppliers nominated product. CGO’s believes the Competition Act clearly states rules against this practice in Canada.

CGO believes by putting a one month penalty on new DLC releases for non-XBOX consumers of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is an example of the “tied selling” definition set out in Section 72 (1) of the Competition Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-34) which states:

“tied selling” means

(a) any practice whereby a supplier of a product, as a condition of supplying the product (the "tying" product) to a customer, requires that customer to

(b) any practice whereby a supplier of a product induces a customer to meet a condition set out in subparagraph (a)(i) or (ii) by offering to supply the tying product to the customer on more favourable terms or conditions if the customer agrees to meet the condition set out in either of those subparagraphs.

Specifically CGO believes that more favourable terms are presented by the publisher Activision for those that acquire an XBOX gaming system over other platforms by allowing XBOX platform users to download this content early.

Under Section 72 (2) the Act states:

(2) Where, on application by the Commissioner or a person granted leave under section 103.1, the Tribunal finds that exclusive dealing or tied selling, because it is engaged in by a major supplier of a product in a market or because it is widespread in a market, is likely to

<br style="color: #000000; I believe it is unfair, not to have just as many modes of play in the "ADVANCED"/""HARDCORE" portion of the game. Hell, if it true about the storage on the servers, what needs to be done is allow all the modes in Hardcore then those that do not get played be dropped. Makes sense to me.What about you?

But throughout titles like Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, and Modern Warfare 3 I have noticed that the playlist in CORE is much longer offering many more modes of play. Why? I don't think it's fair. After all, if I am accustomed to HARDCORE why must I play CORE matches for titles and/or emblems. Can't Infinity Ward or Activision please change the list? I want to play HARDCORE HEADQUARTERS. I have also heard of others wanting HARDCORE CTF. I am just saying that offering all modes on both playlists would be beneficial to the makers of Call Of Duty and those who play.
