Matchmaking goes off of party leader only, for example if you live on the west coast and join your east coast buddy's party you will be in a east coast lobby. MW3 tried to take the whole party into account when matchmaking but it didn't work very well, i think they went back to party leader only but I'm not sure.

I tweeted atvi assiet on April 13 and got this reply "this is an issue we are currently looking into, thanks for your patience". Whatever is going on is not high on the list of problems to be fixed.

Glad it worked for you, but i wonder how long it will last. I was in the same situation with my 6 month old ps3, i did the full like new restore but it didn't work for me. While i was waiting for it to be repaired i come across my old ps3 in the attic, it had what i thought was a bad blu ray because it wouldn't play any games. I took it apart and cleaned the lens with alcohol and a q-tip, i have been playing on this ps3 ever since without any freezes at all. I plan to keep using it while keeping the repaired one as a back up.

I agree, I just wish they would come out and say if the backgrounds are all there is or if there will be double xp or calling cards or anything to justify bothering with the clan stuff

Yes there are some good tutorials on you tube if you look. In my case i thought i had a bad disc, so i exchanged the disc, still same freeze sometimes it would load most of the time it would not. It was hard for me to believe my ps3 was to blame because it was only six months old, but the same disc that would not load on my ps3 worked fine on my friends

Its your ps3, mine did the exact same thing as yours, i did everything i could think of to try to fix it but nothing worked, lucky for me mine was still under warranty. If you do not have warranty you could try to take it apart and clean the laser with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.

Yeah, more than likely. I learned the hard way if you play a lot of COD on ps3 to buy the extended warranty and keep your receipt.

Sadly no, i did the restore ps3 and the game will sometimes load now, but it will freeze about a minute in to the first match. I am now getting disc read error occasionally now on MW3. The BO2 disc will work in my friend's ps3. My ps3 (160gb slim) is only 6 months old, it will go in for warranty repair next week. If your having problems even loading the game, try your disc in a friends ps3 first.

I am begining to think the disc is my problem, I got the game on release day and have had a few freezes every now and then until yesterday. I played yesterday for an hour everything was fine, last night i go to play and the game will freeze every time i try to play it, the game will not load for me at all. I try again today with the new patch same thing. Today was the first time the disc had been out of my ps3 since release, it is spotless. All of my other games play fine, i have tried deleteing the texture install and the patch, nothing works. I am doing the ps3 system restore right now, if that dosent work i will try to exchange to disc tomorrow.

Same issue here, i can't get the game to load up, all other games work fine.

If you need a reason as to why details weren't layed out, that's another discussion. Also, there is another TU in the works in the next couple of weeks

I am sorry but i was led to believe that there was a lag/matchmaking TU in the works that was coming 'soon', only to find out that it was already released, which by the way didnt improve the game at all. I am sorry if i offended you, thanks.

@ Teanah or Ghandi, So you admit to misleading us about the content of TU22 for PS3, my question for you is, will there even be an October lag comp TU or were you misleading us about that also? Please don't lie to your loyal customers anymore, will the game be fixed before BO2 or not?

What i mean is will we have to redownload them again, and WHY wasn't Terminal available to download with the other two maps and the spec ops mission? Thank you for all that you guys do.

@ GIHAINIDII Will terminal cause the same matchmaking problems on PS3 or will it be a mandatory download from the start? Also could you or one of the other devs let us know when the lag comp adjustments are implemented in all the other playlists.

Can't say how the game performs on 360, but my experience on PS3 is basically like the OP stated his 360 experience was. Instant death, shot around corners etc..its all here on PS3 as well.
