It's okay to change the way that the community sees sniping skillfully. Personally, sniping to me is bullshit for the lack of target practice. You just shoot anywhere with the Intervention and get one-shot-kills (not exactly true, but you know). But if they made sniping "balanced," getting one-shot-kills should require, oh I don't know, shooting the head? Seriously, quick-scopeing is old and not as hard as it used to be. It's actually too powerful, to add. So I suggest to Treyarch to make snipers not very handy but very deadly when used as a tool of assassination, rather than a friggin toy barley using the attached scope.

That's a balanced weapon system. But balanced or not, Black Ops seems quite awesome just from a teaser. Not very happy to see a motivation of running with knifes and care packages, but that's not very bad if they put A FRIGGIN THEATER MODE IN IT, **** YES!!!

It's a skill, and it's hard to master, just because you can't do it doesn't mean they shouldn't take it out of the game.

If you want realism, go to BFBC2, hey there is not effing prone in that game.

Hard to master my ass. It's just laying down on the ground.

They most certainly should tweak it since it's some strategy made up by nerdy gamers rather than looking towards the actual battles. Realistically, that's risking shooting themselves in the face since they're not giving arm support for themselves to lay down on the ground.

zombiezquasher wrote:

very good, but then if stopping power is in game, you could use stopping power and overkill, and thats not balanced imo. people chose 2 primary weapons to have more fire power but less actual damage, and people choose stopping power to have more damage.

It's not the Overkill from CoD4 and WaW, it's basically the weapon setup of MW2. You can use Scavenger, Stopping Power, and Ninja with a TAR-21 grenade launcher + a RPG-7. But since it's a bit much to have unlimited ammo with a launcher instead of a pistol, Overkill should lend you a launcher as your secondary which REPLACES SCAVENGER. And if you're thinking two assault rifles, that's not one of the available weapons I would allow since that is a bit much, too.

Like I said, only a Shotgun or a Luncher is an available secondary weapon with Overkill.

Perk + Weapon of Choice Balance

Question to you: What would you do about the perk system? What will they affect towards the weapons? Will it be back to pistols as secondary only? What would you do?

Lets talk MW2: The amount of ammunition you have with the Scavenger perk resupplies with everything on the player (Example: 1 frag, 1 magazine clip, 1 rocket for the RPG...) each time a blue package a corpse drops and is claimed by the player.

That's a bit much. "Scavenger Pro" gives you enough ammunition to start with. You basically have the advantage to fire an unlimited amount of grenade launchers + rockets (At the same time).

The community has taken enough of the grenade launching system (Trust me, everyone has had enough) with the perk-slot-1 equipped with the grenade launcher attachment when the player also has two more to fire from their secondary weapon (or more).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------

Let's talk fixing it: To get this out of the way, if the M203 grenade launcher is equipped, it MUST replace the conserving perk slot (perk-slot-1). Just do it!
But it would be nice if there was a blue perk visible indicated as the grenade launcher perk, even though it's really the attachment which replaces the first perk slot.

But here's something that would help the overpowered player's secondary weapon: bring back the perk Overkill from MW1 and WaW (With a few tweaks).

Changing Overkill to perk-slot-1 will make it impossible for the player to use Scavenger. Therefore, no more unlimited rockets and grenade launchers on the same class. You may choose a shotgun or launcher as your secondary weapon with "Overkill" equipped (no pistol as your default).

The Bling perk in MW2 has a little menu when selected, showing the names of your two weapons which leads to the attachments.
It looks like this: Choose the perk "Bling" - M4A1, or Desert Eagle - Choose Attachments for M4A1
If you do this with "Overkill," it's menu should result like this: Overkill - Shotgun, or Launcher - Choose Shotgun - Choose Attachment - Choose Camo (if necessary)

All in all, "Overkill" should be brought back as the first perk with a shotgun, or launcher as your secondary to choose (Ranking up will result better shotguns or launchers to choose from), and grenade launchers should most DEFINITELY take away perk-slot-1 for it's reasoning which I wouldn't have to explain why. That's what I would do to change one of MW2's problems to be featured in Black Ops.

Question to you: What would you do about the perk system? What will they affect towards the weapons? Will it be back to pistols as secondary only? What would you do?

What do we do with "Last Stand" in Black Ops? (Solution)

What is "Last Stand?"
In description, it allows the player to survive a death on the ground to pull out their pistol to keep fighting a little longer. This is found in the third perk slot in Call of Duty 4 and Modern Warfare 2.

How does the community see this perk?
In depth, most players find it quite irritating. It is clearly unrealistic to get wounded by a 10-gauge shotgun and live. Who would volunteer to see if they can survive that?

Any other problems similar to this one?
If "Last Stand" isn't equipped, the player can be killed from any part of their body getting shot. If a player gets shot in the legs (and below) enough, it would kill them, in the past "Call of Dutys."

Your point?
"Last Stand" should take that place. If a player gets shot in the legs so much, they should be on the ground moaning, "MY LEGS!"

The Solution?
Basically, this: Combining "Last Stand" with my personal pet peeve of being killed from shots in the legs only.
This will happen to every player: They will go into the original "Last Stand" position from getting shot in the lower body enough.

Here's a story I made to help you understand if you're confused:

A soldier named Sam walks out in the open. A bad guy shoots his legs, because he can't see Sam's chest or torso. Sam looses his ability to move with his legs and has nothing to do but to pull out his side arm. The bad guy can now see Sam's chest and kills him off. Poor Sam.
The End.

So, you see, there won't be any unexpected "Last Stand" players, it will only happen if getting shot in the lower body too much.

I hope you think this is a good idea to fix our irritation with the "Last Stand" perk. Thanks for reading!

By the way, if Treyarch hears about this, have the characters in "Last Stand" moan and scream to get attention so it wont be a stealthy kill.

I hope you think this is a good idea to fix our irritation with the "Last Stand" perk. Thanks for reading!

By the way, if Treyarch hears about this, have the characters in "Last Stand" moan and scream to get attention so it wont be a stealthy kill.

It's too easy.

These quick-scopers have bragging rights of getting one-bullet-kills at close range as a skillful thing? Please.

What is a skillful thing is killing at long range with an SMG, such as the silenced "Vector." That takes A LOT more rounds than just one.

If you try doing that in front of a "skillful" quick-scoper, they'll kill you so much faster and that's not very skilled.

What I want to see from "pros" is using the "worst" (or correctly, the most skill required) weapons rather than a 2-ton, one-shot-kill sniper rifle that could kill easily with the perk "stopping power."

Example perks:

Stopping Power/Juggernaut
Fireworks/Flak Jacket

Add more of those. Make sure these perks are in the same slot. :P

Remember the replacement of the 1st perk for a grenade launcher attachment? BRING IT BACK.
But this time, instead of replacing the 1st perk, it should be shown as a grenadier perk.

Speaking of that attachment, it's power in MW2 is ridiculous. Either reduce it's starting ammo to only one, or keep two but reduce the power. Because one-hit-kills shouldn't be too easy nor hold enough ammo to kill with JUST the attachment itself rather than the rifle it wields.

What I mean is that if you're wielding a Carbine, "Max Ammo" should give both a fully-loaded clip 180 rounds, and a half-loaded clip 195 rounds. So if the half-loaded clip is reloaded, the total ammunition in both Carbines will be exactly the same, which is 210 rounds. That would satisfy everyone's struggle to reload before taking the shiny ammunition figure that could rip you off.

Is it right that a guy should be rewarded for going 5-30 and losing his team the game?

If Treyarch finds this and acts on it, they'll figure it out. I'm just saying... Besides, if he dies 30 times, the enemy team will be rewarded for killing him and the loosing team will be rewarded the Recon Plane to help find the enemies. This isn't MW2 where the best man gets everything and the worst gets nothing... You should be rewarded for doing something. And the better players could choose the higher rewards. Like the dogs at 25 kills (or another amount of kills).

First, there can only be 9 players at the most. Second, it motivates them to win and not camp to get kills the whole game. Besides, who cares who gets the Recon Plane? The whole team gets it. Really, this is better than getting kills in a row, which isn't the point of the game. And the upper rewards like the blood hounds will be 3 captures and it won't show up all the time like in WaW or Harriers in MW2. You noticed the Harriers in MW2? There's like 5 a match. This system will make dogs more rare than they used to be. The idea is if someone gets a Recon Plane or call in the dogs, it helps the whole team to win. This isn't MW2 where everybody is a man for himself to get the ridiculous kill-streaks.

There would not be anything going on with "objective streaks," it even sounds dumb in my opinion. If they were to do this, for all we know when it came out people would camp next to the bomb in search and ass your done planting they'd knife you and get an award? I dont think that would be much of an objective it'd be more of a "noobish" way for one terrible player to do good for unplanting a bomb. I am positive if this becomes the new streak way, my friends and I wont be getting this game. I really hope kill streaks stay along with custom streaks. MW2 allowed people to change their kill streaks to their skill level of play which added fun to the game. Dont get me wrong i liked WAW but i thought it was boring getting the same killstreak every 5 min. it was like playing a private match with radar always on since everyone had that streak. I think MW2 is the best game in the series so far.
ps3 gamertage- Jayboys
xbox360- DrJThompson

There's no skill when it comes to staying in one place with no way for you to be stopped. If this idea's so stupid, then keep playing the biggest failure of the century. That game was made for noobish people. And besides, the S&D thing could be thought out by Treyarch if they would agree to this. I just hate greedy campers trying to get the ridiculous kill-streak rewards when there's a flag to be captured. I ******* hate MW2 and their players who do this. There should only be TDM since everyone just wants kills.
