I made some tests yesterday by intentionally slowing my internet connections return channel and the results are quite mindbending. So you have good connection and so you have a good gamespeed...Wrong!

I actyally managed to get more good games by slowing my connections return channel bandwith about 20% with 4 simultaneous small connections from my home server. Today I am going to test with little less bandwith limit but more simultaneous connections and see how that affects my gamespeed.

So it seems that regardless of you Up/download rates the important factor is low ping rate and how that translates into laggy gameplay. I live in Finland and my ping rates are about 15-55ms to anywhere in Europe and my mate lives in Sweden and he has the same ping rates but faster connection but still he suffers from same issues.

The lag is probaly build to compensate higher average ping rates 75-125ms and somehow it messes up players with lower ping rates with too much artificial lag. I just hope there would be a manual setting that we could use to tune the lag comp to fit our own connection ping rates or we just have to manually generate higher ping rates with constant ping...

Same here, I have 8Mb down and 80Kb up connection (the best I can get because I live in the countryside). I have gone from 2Kd player to solid 1 because of the lag, almost every game enemies have 20ms advantage over me and in COD that is the difference between life and death...

I bet that the lagcomp favours those lucky ones that have 100Mb up/down cable connections and we who have old Dsl connections, even with good ping rate get totally owned

Hi Everyone

If you had a connection loss to MW3 server sunday evening about 22:10, please call to their service desk and report this problem because this was the second sunday this happened. My friends that have another IPS (sonera, elisa..jne ) could connect to servers and play but not me, Xbox live works like a charm and I could join party and chat with my friends but not join the game.

I have made a service call about this problem to DNA but it would help a lot if other people would report this problem too..

Hi Sebu24, could it be that DNA is blocking UDP traffic in their network. It wouldnt be the first time that operator "prioritizes" their traffic, and when you consider the fact that DNA is now selling their own web TV solution witch uses UPD too it would be wery plausible.

Hi ttupsu, by any chance is your ISP operator DNA? My friends have their connections from Elisa and Sonera and they could connect to MW3 last night without a problem.

I had the same problem last nigt, my friends got in but I had to stick with campaign and listen to my friends playing.... I am too from Finland so this problem seems to regional. Man this game is killing me, I just want to play and have fun but with these problems it's harder and harder to justify why I would play MW3 instead of Battlefield.

Same for me, I have mede every possible thin to speed up my ADSL connection and the setup that worked fine with Black Ops is getting beated bloody by MW3. My router is in Bridged mode so there is no NAT/Firewall and my Xbox is connected with CAT6 cable to router but MW3 lag like nothing I have seen before. When I play with my friends it gets even worse and this is a game best enjoyed with a team but now it makes the game unplayable. GREAT!

MW3 with 4 bar connection is a lot worse that Black Ops with 3 bar connection and if you factor in that we are playing against players form our own countries (in my case Finland) the lag is unbearable.
