ok so im not trying to start a beef here or anything but i'v heard lots of different things about this issue and often conflicting things are said. i have read through these posts before anyone jumps on that one. and i get the jist of what ur sayin. however one thing i don't get is why some people are affected by these problems and others are'nt. i have several friends that claim they never deal with lag at all and the games they play are always great. however i started this game with a very bad mobile connection and understandably lagged alot. then i bought a really good connection and still lagg alot. now if as people say it is to do with ping then how do you explain lag kicking in half way through the game with no host migration. i have gone from 32n2 to 32n33 in a game simply because i have gone from 3 bullet kills to 15 bullet kills and instead of me killing them, they killed me. it is very frustrating and has almoast made the game unplayable for me. and i know lots of guys that feel the same. it seems no one has a definitive answer to this problem or what can be done about it. hell i cant even get a definitive answer as to what causes the issue inthe first place. everyone has a different opinion. i would really like to make this game play the way it is supposed to as when i do have good games (rarely) its great fun but that only happens 1 in 15 or so. with all the experience and knoledge pooled here one would think we could come up with at least an understandable explanation.

but yet if you talk to people in these forums you will be told that it is impossible to hack ps3 and that you must have set the whole thing up yourself. lmfao. there is no point in complaining to anyone.

you want the netgear wrn 2200. not to expensive and you can controll your qos settings so that you wont be host at all. if you don't know how to do this post again and i'll try and explain it to you.

i have 100mbs down and 20mbs up with a 5ms ping and i still get radical swings in gameplay. its because the dev's were to cheap to pay for dedicated servers. hopefully they address this issue in blops 2

i couldn't say with certainty that there are or are not hacks i only have my own opinion. however one reason why people think this is not down to the guy they are going against but the game dev's. there are no dedicated servers for this game and as a result one can experience huge swings in lag,hit detection etc. i have dealt with this personaly. for example going 34 n 2 in 3 v 3 and in the same lobby with the same people on the same map(re-match) getting owned. my style of play and load out remained the same however instead of 1 shot kills with the L11 its now 2-3 shots and they are raping me. not hacking just one of the many problems in the game but again not the players fault. just something to think about before accusing people.

imo people have paid money for the game and should be able to play the game however they like without fear of torrents of abuse from other players. i personally rush but if you wanna camp, thats your choice. we are supposed to live in a tolerant society but people always want to sit in judgement of others. the only thing i don't like is spawn trapping which i consider is the fault of the developers. they should work on the spawns a bit more so that this can no longer happen.

then it is probably lag or a server communication issue. i can't see u being lag comped with that slow a connection. but i suppose anythings possible

yes but if you have a very good connection you will be lag comped. that is to say that you will lagg by up to 2 seconds behind to make it fair for other people who dont have a good connection which may be what he is experiencing. this comes in many forms, hit detection issues( emptying a full clip at close range into someone and only getting hit markers) frame skipping etc. changing ur routers qos settings could help resolve these types of issues

for starters what kind of connection do u have? if its good (over 20 mbs) ur probably being lag comped. you can sort this out using the qos settings on your router this is usually the case if you are experiencing hit detection issues if ur connection is poor ( under 3 mbs) then yes it is lag and the only way of fixing it is to upgrade ur connection

you really are an ignorant person. you want to troll my posts trying to patronise me without having a clue what u are talking about. you really think i don't know the difference mate? i do not experience lag as my connection is fibre optic. if you actually read my posts you would have seen that. what i am dealing with is lag comp and i will post an interesting article about this in one sec i just have a problem with people like you trying to look smart and putting everyone else off of an idea which can and does work (speaking from experience) just to try nd make yourself look good. why don't you google things before you comment about them like your an authority? anyway here's the article. maybe you can do some reading instead of talking. but your probably one of those people with a shitty connection and so wouldn't understand the subtleties of lag comp issues.

it totally different man for 1 you don't get a 1 shot kill wit ur ak. if you have ever watched a qs vid you would see that these guys just spin around and pop off shots that never miss. they dont look down the sight they start to and then pull the trigger. in doing this they dont even have to aim. if there is anyone remotely in the cross hairs they get killed. its bs that you can exploit a one shot kill weapon in this way

on village there is one lmg right behind where u spawn and if you go across the bridge through the tunnel towards where a would be on dom there is an lmg there also dunno about c4 but in the far right corner of the map from where ou spawn there is a little shack and you can go down the right hand side of it to a dead end. there are claymores there

doesn't work that way mate, i have been host 10 games in a row before and its not just hosting its having a good connection. the game dumps lagg on you to compensate for the other players who have crappy connections. since making these changes all of my games are 2-1 or better on the positive side and i don't have frame skipping and hit detection issues the way i used to

no ur wrong i have beaten it as every game i used to have was negative by a long way with 100mbs downstream and 20+mbs upstream. conversley now i test my speed and have 10-13 mbs down and 500 kbs up and every game i have is 2-1 positive.
