C4s are awesome! Any M60 tips?

So, today, I was playing tdm in underground, and I ended up doing three c4 kills, and all three kills were near the stairs in the room with the red walls. I think it was the same guy who fell for the c4, lol, and now I find c4 way more fun than betties. Anyways, I want some tips on using the m60 lmg. I just recently unlocked it, and I was amazed at how much ammo it has with scavenger pro on, and it had at least a max of 300 ammo. I find this gun kinda have a bit of recoil, but it's managable, and the iron sights aren't as bad as people say it is. The damage on the m60 isn't bad either. It's got the hightest damage out of all the lmgs and ars. This gun is one of the best guns I've used in terms of ammo, fire rate, and damage. The fire rate is moderately slow, making it harder to miss enemies, since it fires in small bursts rather than fast bursts. The most disappointing gun for me was the ak47, despitethe fact that it's supposed to be the best gun, according to the us military. The recoil was so bad, and the fire rate was so slow, that I decided to quit using. I'd rather use the m60 or type95 instead. This is the same reason why I also hated the cm901, cause the type95 has the same damage, but with lower recoil. Besides, the cm901 is overused, and I hate overused guns. So anyways, are there any good tips on how to effectively use the m60? It feels like using a sentry gun, since it almost feels like you have unlimited ammo. Thnx!

I earn Scavaneger first, Sleight of Hand second and Quickdraw for third; I change Quickdraw to Steady Aim when I'm using a Shotgun like a Striker or an AA-12.

Which is why I switched to an MP9 and a G18. But, I think the G18 is better with a Red Dot Sight or Extended Mags.

Yeah, I use it with together with Impact. That way even though Range is affected by the Silencer, Impact will give it more power.

It took me a while to get used to in MW2. I used to run around with Akimbo P90's. I'm a lot better now, especially with the Striker and AA-12 Shotguns.

I play on Xbox. But, I did think you played on Xbox too when you first started posting.

It's a bummer that you're not.

In MW2 there is a Bling Perk that allows the player to add two attachments on the Primary Weapon. I used Akimbo and Extended Mags on the P90's.

I had to get used to the idea that things changed in MW3.

I never really paid that much attention to it since I use Specialist. By the time I earn Slight of Hand, I'm already in the zone.

You're welcome.

Play the game the way you want to play it.

Actually, I only play on psn, cause its free to play. I just don't find xbox live to be any different than psn, besides having to pay $60 a year for gold membership. I've been playing for almost a year, but I don't seem to be very good at running and gunning without dying. I don't wanna just rush in and let the enemy know where I am. I'm wondering if capture the flag is a good way to practice getting better at tdm. I'm trying not to rely on the riot shield too much.

Ya, hipfiring is very difficult, and can take some time and practice to get used to. I usually end up camping a bit, and when someone is busy killing my teammates, I kill them from behind.

Maybe I should use specialist, so that I get more ammo and get faster reload. Ya, I don't really find silencers that effective when it comes to skorpions. Silencers with a type 95 was never an issue with me, since the type 95 has better range. I'm really not used to hip firing, cause I usually aim down sights when firing. Btw, do you play on psn or xbox live? I play on psn. I wish that they didn't give you so little ammo when using akimbo. I keep running after about 2 rounds. I'll try scavenger to see if its better. The reload time on skorpions aren't bad, are they? Also, thanks to the riot shield, I'm a little more confident in moving around the maps a bit (not running and gunning), but at the same time, not rushing into enemies. I'll try not to camp, but I'm not very good with moving around maps without getting killed too quickly.

Well, I just unlocked akimbo skorpions this week. Its my first time using any akimbo weapons, actually. I didn't realize that you had to use the aiming down sights button on the left to fire the left skorpion, until I tried it out. You have to press both the left and right triggers (L1 and R1, since I'm playing on ps3), in order to fire both weapons. It was pretty easy actually, and steady aim really helped with the increased hip fire accuracy. I managed to get my akimbo skorpions to lvl 9. Akimbo skorpions is definately one of the best secondary weapons I've ever used.

As for the silencer, I just don't find it as affective on the skorpion as on any other weapons, since the skorpion has very short range, and silencers just reduces its range even more, so I chose not to use it. Akimbo skorpions are just awesome!

Also, I managed to do a long range kill with the akimbo skorpions. The range is actually quite good without silencers. Also, I noticed that your starting ammo is reduced from 60 to 40 when using akimbo skorpions, so I was thinking that maybe scavenger might be a good perk to use to replenish ammo, but otherwise, akimbo skorpions are really great weapons to use.

I have deflected quite a few shots from choppers before, and I can tell you that the riot shield can really save your life when you're under heavy enemy fire. I'm mainly just trying to get akimbo for my skorpion, so I thought that riot shields might help when getting up close. My skorpion is now lvl 4, and it only has a bit of exp left before it reaches lvl 5. Its supposed to have little to no recoil when hipfired, so akimbo is best for skorpions. So, after watching some youtube videos on this, and the tips said to try and surprise the enemy. Use a riot shield to deflect a few shots, wait until the enemy runs out of ammo, then, quickly switch to your skoprion, and make a kill. That's how I've been doing it so far, and its working. People are actually surprised that I'm using a skorpion to kill rather than an mp9. It was also very funny to watch as people get killed by their own bullets when they deflect your riot shield. People seem very nervous when going up against riot shielders. I also find that using a riot shield increases my confidence to not camp, but instead, move around the map carefully, and trying to make kills. This is good practice for me, so that later on, when I'm ready, I can move around the map with an assualt rifle and skorpion instead of relying on a riot shield all the time. Thnx!

Also, I don't use silencers on my skorpion cause I find that using silencers is part of the reason why I can't get kills from mid range, since silencers reduce your weapon's range, and knowing that skorpions have very short range, I chose not to use silencers at all. I found that it was easier to kill like that, especially at mid range.

I just wanna know if combining the skorpion with a riot shield is a good class to use. I've been using the riot shield to get close to enemies while resisting enemy fire, and when I got close enough, I would use the skorpion to make a kill or something. I found that the the riot shield is good for when you're not camping and when you're in mid range to long range enemy encounters. So, are there any tips on how I can improve this class? What's the fastest and easiest ways to make kills with a single skorpion? I want to get the skorpion to lvl 5 so that I can unlock akimbo for it, and thnx!

I find that everytime I try to do a fourth kill in a row, I usually get killed. I usually get three kills in a row before dying. As for the fallen map, most people don't realize that there are campers in the building near the playground area. I usually like to camp there. Once, during tdm in fallen, I was camping in the building near the playground area, and I didn't make any kills at all, but, I did get an enemy's attention by firing my gun, he noticed me, and tried to go after me. Luckily, the match was almost over, he stepped on my betty by the time he got to me, and I got the final kill of the match, and I was able to win for my team. I just couldn't believe that most people don't actually notice a betty in front of them, and I saw the look on his face, and he's probably going like, "what? I got killed by a camper?", lol. The best part was, the final kill was made by a bouncing betty, lol.

I know that outpost has a good camping spot, the area where the building is up in the northern section of the map. I also know that people love to camp inside the airplane in terminal. I do that quite often too, actually. Its really easy for the enemy to fall for a bouncing betty from where they climb the ladder and onto the back of the plane. I tried that once, and some guy triggered my betty, and he fell off the ladder, lol. So anyways, if you can give me some more good camping spots where enemies usually camp in other maps(excluding dlc maps, cause I don't have dlc maps), post them here, and thnx!

Also, where's the best spot for me to camp in each map, so even after my betty runs out after taking out a guy, I don't get shot from behind? I just unlocked the weapon this week, and I already made 5 kills with it. Overall, its a really fun weapon to use, with decent ammo and fire rate. I don't really like snipers cause their scope is to small to view, as with the xm25, it has a much wider scope. So, any tips for taking out campers? Thnx!

Also, can I have some tips for using skopions? I'm trying to get akimbo for it. You know how hardline pro gives you 1 kill streak point for every 2 assists right? Do the assists have to be consecutive, or do they still count after I die? For eg: I get 1 assist, die, then get another assist to make 2 assists, does that still count? Also, does hardline pro keep both effects like the one where it requires 1 less kill for a killstreak and the 2 assists effect, or just the 2 assists effect only? Thnx!

Also, can somone give me some tips for getting better kills for the skorpion? I'm trying to get it to lv 5 to unlock akimbo. Thnx!
