Funny as I saw a www.newegg.com ad offering a $199 desktop PC it had the following parts

ASUS SABERTOOTH P67 mobo
i3 intel proc
4 gig 16000 ram
300 gig Raptor HD
ATI 5850 756 Video Card
Case

No PSU but that was for $199 on sale for Pres day.........

Build on or modify and your still spending less then getting the latest horseshite from a console every year and would only need to update that kind of system once every other year maybe?

Point is to us PC Gamers out there, No one has the same PC, We love that fact because we dont like being treated like gaming cattle.
We are very different from Console players for a reason, Ya we dont even have to modify or update our rigs, But we do it because we are different.

If console fans cant understand that, then you will never understand it. Hell, I can run 2 games as the same time with my monitor hookup, can a console do that?

Our rigs are ore then a unit to play a game, Do a google search for Modded Gaming PCs, for us, its a art form

close but your wrong again, It has happened to at least 10 people in a server the other day were a guy would shoot one guy infront of him and Bamm 4 enemy killed and usually 2 friendly.

I had a ChinaLake go off 2 feet in front of a guy with FJ and that ChinaLake took out the clay 2 feet in front of him, Explosions on either side and he walked away..............

Im sorry but that is the most un-realistic thing I have seen, You still got legs,arms,and a damn head that would not live threw that.......

Evil, Let me put some light in here. I have been around gaming on PC sense Medal of Honor (The first one), I started modding back then as well. Steam is something that is INTERRELATED with the game code, Once a company starts making a game, Yes, they choose there anti cheat in the later development process but in becomes a major part of the game code, VAC and Steam are one, once it is made as an "exclusive" to Steam. It would cost more time and money then you sir could not even imagine. No Company would ever change up and none have to my knowledge either. It would not be cost effective.

I agree along with even the main peeps at PBBans that PB is old and not as up to date as VAC, I also agree that VAC with its shut out on third party apps makes it just as bad. When it comes down to it and this is JUST MY OPINION, Punkbuster is the better choice because it is a ProActive Anticheat. Meaning, they allow for third party linking and etc like pbbans, AON etc. Battlefield got a clue in there last game making streaming possible for there ranked servers.

Black Ops is closed to any changes on there anti-cheat period, Just forget it, Not cost effective

What it will take is a Development team being pro-active with people like Punkbuster and PBBans allowing for third party apps to help fill the gaps left by the anti-cheat alone. Monitoring these sites and working with that community is another key factor as well. Right now I only know of ONE Dev team out there who do this. The makers of Battlefield BadCompany2.

Bottom line Evil is you are so ignorant to common sense and reality that its just amazing you can even turn on your PC.

Is it Possible to change anti-cheats after post release? Yes
Is it likely they will do it? Hell No

Your talking in upwards of half a million dollars for, and this is just off the top of my head
Breach of Contract
Allocating Dev's to work on system setups
New contracts with PunkBuster (Might I add they are for more expensive)
Packaging of new DLC to include a re-write of game code

Now this is just off the top of my head here and you are also talking about do this to a game that has ALREADY made its majority of the money on the PC side.

So the most I can say Evil is to just stfu before you make yourself look even more stupid then the guy who want a party system on dedicated servers from people who pay for them,

As to MAX? Any game can be sold threw steam and not be required to use VAC. and the proper place for this thread would be at Activision as they are owners of the CoD title and make all the calls

Actually, All proceeds would have to be given away after costs for me to sign up. I do believe that in the US, with the proper Licensing certificates required. That would constitute illegal gambling. I think I would pass too.

Unless you have a Corporation to back you up and can so proof that all proceeds after costs are donated to a LEGAL Charity, But I highly doubt you thought that threw enough.

by the way it happened to me too, but I find it a challenge to rank back up to where I was faster then before. either way, I am happy to get my fav guns back and move on, this game isnt worth the hassle anymore nor is Activision for that matter. LO I will laugh my ass off when there next ventures are solely for console kiddies and it fails, while us true PC players will be playing other FPS game

guys guys, You forget that most of the people on this forum started playing CoD with MW2, They have not yet learned how to play a game on PC properly. I for one will NEVER own a PC game without dedicated servers to it.

I love to do builds on a PC, I find it more enjoyable when I take a pile of PC parts and put them together to have them play anything i want, Do anything I want. I will never be satisfied with spending $300 to $400 on a purchase to just pull it out of the box and plug it in and say I am awesome...... That is for the lazy people of the world who want everything now and ready without working for it.

If there are people out there who feel this way about there PCs then lookup Plastic Piranha who are dev`ing a game JUST for PC only called Rikochet, These people are former modders and mappers who worked on CoD, MoHa, and other such FPS games and are fed up with current developers who just got lazy. So they started this company and a closed PC Beta will be released this summer, Not to mention they will be at E3 this year as well.

As far as I can see it, The CoD series is dead to PC after we made them what they are. Time for us to make another company out there more popular then CoD. After all, CoD was first created by modders and mappers too, Read your history of the devs

if you would like to learn more about either one, go to ModsOnline.com They have everything,even tutorials, and if they dont have it, they have links to other places as well, When doing some stuff in CoD4 and WaW, I had a learning curve they filled for me easily.
