1. Your vid seemed a bit overexposed. See if you can tone down the brightness a bit.
2. Plan what you're going to say a bit better. You've got your topic, but there were a lot of "but, yeah"s which detracts from the flow.

All in all, not a bad job. Just keep at it, man.

I'm honestly quite done with the Call of Duty franchise. I thoroughly enjoyed MW1, WaW and Black Ops, but they're just not different enough between titles to maintain my interest for another year. Each year I found myself growing bored quicker and quicker.

Battlefield does look like a great game, but their play-styles will be so different that I don't believe they can be truly compared. CoD is an arcade shooter. It's fun, fast paced and you can be successful with or without a party. Battlefield will be a strategic game, where the lone wolf will have a helluva time doing well, but a team with good tactics and communication will succeed. In all, the only true similarity is that they'll be in the FPS genre.

Anyway, my time will be spent with Rage, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2 this year. I'm going to let the mainstream FPS world evolve another year before I hop back in there.

pmpinaintez11 wrote:

sk33t 2x wrote:

Do you have them? Do you like them? Do they make a considerable difference in your aim as they claim?

I'd just like some feedback on them if you would, I just picked up a Razer Onza and love it and was looking to possibly get these, based on the reviews as a whole.
I'm not advertising them, just in search of some feedback from the community.

The razer onza has control sticks between the height of regular xbox sticks and sticks w/ kontrol freeks. So they are higher than the regular xbox sticks but not as high as a controller w/ control freeks.

Also, the kontrol freeks don't fit onto the razer onza controller. The sticks are too wide/ thick.

I do feel as though the kontrol freeks make a difference. However the difference that they make is exaggerated in the product description. It is mainly designed to help you cope on higher sensitivities. So you can play on a 6 w/ the accuracy of playing on a 4. However if you can already handle higher sensitivity then it's not really needed.

Once you go freeks you don't go back though. Controller's will feel weird as hell if you don't have them.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Hit the nail on the head. Don't expect them to be a magic wand, but the do help. If nothing else, the controller feels more comfortable.

Re: Most competitive game you've played

This was the most competitive I've ever played:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbiLZC40HEY

HC CTF
Round 1 - HC4M dominated it. General consensus was that this was going to be another cakewalk. We took all three caps in just a few mins.
Round 2 - FRAK fought back, and shut us out, tying the game and sending it into overtime.
Overtime - The flags went back and forth more times than I can count (for those who don't know, in OT the first team to cap a flag wins). In the end it came to a battle right on our flag. We barely pulled it off for the win.

Cool thing is, after the match we sent FRAK a message thanking them for a great game. They replied in kind. It was the most competition either team had seen in quite some time. Now it's not uncommon for FRAK to pick one of us up, or vice versa if we have room. Competitiveness combined with sportsmanship can lead to some cool things

Re: Who likes the changes to hardcore game modes?

I had grown bored to death with the playlists and hadn't touched Black Ops in weeks before the changes. I finally plugged it back in and gave the new playlists a while. I was instantly re-addicted. I've been having a black with HC Bombs.

My team and I were always TDM/CTF players. Bombs gives us something totally new every time. Demo, Sabo and S&D are all different enough, that the mentality switch between modes is a challenge in itself. Couple that with modes we had never played, and we're finally not just destroying teams. We actually get close games again, and even lose our fair share.

"But, you lose some now. Why do you like it then?" - Because of the challenge! Losing is a part of learning. In my opinion, we'll be all the better for it when we can run Bombs with seldom a loss. Mastering three modes is much more to be proud of then mastering one.

The last few nights of getting it handed to me by teams that are well schooled in the other game modes has really opened my eyes though. I really want HC CTF back . I'm guessing they will have it back up in no time. If they don't oh well I'll eventually get the other game modes right and learn to like them.

p.s I gave HC Team Death Match a shot last night. All I did was wonder around this ghost town until I happened to stroll into a dark corner and bam!

Indeed, learning the new modes is a task. My team seldom loses in CTF, but Dom and HQ are a different monster. That's part of the fun for me. Winning is fun, but a challenge is better. I personally look foreword to the day my team runs the bombs or flags playlist and seldom loses. Its a bigger victory to master 3 game modes than it is to master one.

me and some friends have recently switched back to core CTF due to the sheer convenience of not having to back out every few games

Trust me when I say that Treyach does do their own analytics. When we got to talking to them, they spouted all kinds of numbers out at us regarding the average players per playlist

Per what I've seen here, you won't have to lobby hop. The lobby will do that on it's own. All you have to do is stand still, ask a question and make lines as such:
I have 150 people in my clan that agree and within the community I am in (over 45000) yeah there's a lot of angry people check the xbox forum

Oddly, we have 300 in our clan who like the changes. It's all based on opinion. If you'd like it changed, it sounds like you have the manpower to do research and prove to Treyarch that the change was a mistake.

Also, as stated 1,000 times - happy people don't come to forums to say "Good Job!". Forums will always be populated primarily by people with complaints. I've never once played a game and thought, "That was such a good round, I want to go tell Company X how awesome their game is now!". Can you honestly say you make it a habit to do that?

What if in MW3 there was a regular/hardcore toggle like in Battlefield?

I'm sure they can't do anything about that now, but I mean it's an rather straight forward idea......

Not certain where you are going with this, what does this have to do with the price of rice in China?

This topic is some unmeaningful discussion about the Hardcore changes right?

What if they just had a toggle that abled you to change between Core and Hardcore like in Battlefield Bad Company 2?

Why do Hardcore games have to be in a tottaly different playlist? I guess thats what I'm trying to understand.

I would imagine BF:BC2 still had to code them differently. Instead of selecting in a menu and being present a new menu, you simply chose which you wanted. I'm guessing, but it was probably just a different GUI for the same coding.

Dom is the new game, would like to see more of it, as Wiggy drools at the thought.

Wiggy will say that mixing it up does keep things from getting stale.

CTF or HQ isn't the same after the update. I don't care what Wiggy says this was a forced update we don't want it! Barebones already has bombs and flags its called "COMPETITION" maybe you and wiggy should play that and leave hc HQ and CTF alone!

RESTORE HC CTF AND HC HQ ITS THAT SIMPLE STOP OVER THINKING IT THATS WHAT CAUSED THIS MESS

So we should play Barebones despite it being Core and lacking perks? You do know that Core still has stand alone CTF and HQ. Since the difference between Core and HC is negligible to you, might I recommend you go play the Core variants in bliss?
