Hello everyone,

I've just put MW3 back into the Wii. I thought BO2 was coming out for the Wii & was very disapointed when it didn't. It's taken me this long to decide that I would put MW3 back in when I got that itch to play.

Tonight was the 1st night I played again in probably about 6 months. It only put me into multi-player games on 1 map. Lockdown.

Is this the only map available for online play now?

What do I need to know after being away from online play for so long?

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Official Guide Book (Wii not included)

I've NEVER had a guide book for any of the COD games & I've had them all for the Wii but the book right on the cover says it's for every system but the Wii! I think even Atari 2600 is on here (thats a joke for you youngins). Anyway, I received the book as a Christmas present & I have to say it's awesome even if it's lacking Wii content. In the past I've always just looked up maps & intel for playing online but this book is great & 95% of the info is Wii compatible. It gives you suggested class set ups that are best for each map. It shows you spawn points. If you play Capture the Flag, Domination, Sabotage, or any of the other game modes the book gives you all the good dope on what's what about that Multi-Player map. I haven't played the Campaign mode yet, been playing online since 11/8/11 when the game was released. As my B-Day is 11/10 & my wife spends as much time playing as I do it was simple to get her to let me get the gift a few days early.

So if you're a big enough fan & want some real inside intel about the game the book is superb tool. I can't say I'd pay 20$ for it but if you have a few old games you don't play bring em to GameStop or someplace like it & get the book. It has some really great tips in it I've been highlighting for my 11 & 8 yr old boys & my wife that plays also. Sometimes the hardest part is just getting the time to play when everyone's around. On the weekends my wife stays up until 0400 playing & when she comes to bed that late it wakes me up so I get up & play @ 0500 cuz its the only time I can get some peace to play! I guess it doesn't help that we own & live in a Funeral Home so we're always here & can get away with playing all day if there are no Fun Home needs that need to be dealt with. Once my boys are off to school I can count on the wife sleeping in & get a few games in this time every morning!

I've already prestiged over once & just like in all the other games it SUCKS @ 1st having to go back to all those older weapons & percs but I'm the kind of player that enjoys unlocking all the weapons & earning all the unlocks I can where as my wife finds an Assault Rifle she likes, an SMG, LMG, & Sniper rifle she likes & just sticks with em. So if you're online around this time of day playing & want a good Ally my code is 0335-7765-8606, my user name is Page & I try to just ally-up with guys that have headsets because they really do help allot. I'd spend 20$ on a headset before I'd spend it on the guide book as good as the book is but that's a whole other topic for discussion.

I have a special color setting on my TV just for COD that adjusts the brightness to make those areas a lil more visable but I'm gonna give that color-blind assist thing a shot too.

Our TV has multiple color settings for Sports, Movies, Games, etc so I've just been using that.

by a player who's name I can't remember now but what happened was once I entered the Multiplayer game myself & every player on my team were killed where we stood immediately. The kill icon was the same as the one you see when you get hit in the chest by a grenade launcher that doesn't blow up. When I exited the game all my "create a class" personalized names had been changed to You've been (1st one) hacked by (2nd one) players name I now forget (3rd one) what can I do (4th one) to make it better (5th one). At least thats the best as I can recall it. I don't remember it exact but it was something like that. He had changed all the names of my create a class & killed me & all my team members each time we spawned before we could even move or fire a shot. I immediately backed out of the game & turned it all off & reset my system but the names he changed em to stuck so I had to redo them all. AR, SMG, LMG, SNPR, SHTGN, etc.....

anyone else seen this? it was around midnight Eastern time.

What version of the game do you see?

In the upper right corner when you log on it gives you a version #. What Version # does your game say?

Just noticed V 0.1?

If you look in the upper right corner it gives a version #. B4 the game kicks off I got in 2 quick games & while it was loading I noticed it said 0.0 but just now when leaving the game I noticed it was different. Does this mean there's been a patch or upgrade or something & if so what?

I've seen guys working together with someone or 2 on the shields & someone behind them with an LMG. Like everything it works for a lil while then gets figured out. Adjust, adapt, overcome!

My wife & 2 boys ALL play online & so far so good for us. I've warned them to not just power off the game though & to exit out to Wii menu when done. KNOCKING ON WOOD NOW.

Patience, FAITH, Patience...... remember Black Ops. There were upgrades & adjustments each day. An online player (Cyclone) & I were just talking about how the Hit Detection are better already. I was picking dudes off with my Fav (M-16, Yea I'm old school. I don't want no beauty queen, I just want my M-16!) from way out earning long shot kills with each pop.

Just be patient, it's only been a few days. MW3 wasn't built in a day! Also there's no need to be insulting & childish. My 11 & 8 yr olds that have been playing since World @ War are better than some of the posts I see on here.

Just my, probably un-wanted, 2 cents worth.....

I've found because people are learning the maps there is allot running around & close combat, ideal for shotguns. Also with poor hit detection, weapons like shotguns & grenades that spread the steel farther out help with the kills. I'm only @ lvl 23 or so but these have been my solutions to the problems I've read about online.

Wow, thanks guys for the GREAT replies. That's awesome. This is my ALLY code. PLEASE add me. I work & live @ home & as soon as I can get some game time in I'll be prestiged in no time. I have a headset too & know how to use it as a resource, NOT a social tool!

I'm sorry I'm so lazy & if I could pry my kids away from the game I'd explore it myself but the Wii (because we have 8 & 11 yr old boys) is the only system we have & I don't remember a Spec Ops mode in the other games (we've had them all & the entire family, wife included unfortunatly, seriously enjoys them) so can someone briefly give me the skinny on what Spec Ops is & how it plays or works.

DID you not read my 1st sentance? Instead of worrying about what I should teach my kids maybe I should teach you to READ? I clearly acknowledged the FACT that it has been a short period of time & was simply asking if someone had started a guide or had some good jpgs of the maps, not for some MORONish comment.

I know it's only been a few days but does anyone know if this is being worked on or easy to see .jpgs of the maps are posted anywhere. In previous games this has been really helpful. Especially for my kids.

Adapt, overcome, STOP CRYING. It's day 1. Remember how many times you turned on Black Ops & something was loading to it new? It will happen. Until then use grenades, use LMGs & pray & spray but figure out how to play this awesome game if the gun sight targeting is not up to your standards or just give it up til it's fixed but I have faith that it will come. Have Patience.

I live & work @ home & have been playing all versions online for years now. I also have a headset & KNOW how to use it as an advantage, NOT a social tool even though now in the early stages we need to share weapons advice & favorites.

Although somewhat helpful was looking for more of a scrolling web site in a guide like style with jpegs of gifs of the maps. I'm sure someone will do it soon enough. I have to slow down. I been yelling at the cry babies to give them time to work on hit allocation & other issues and to remember how every 3 days @ 1st on Black Ops an update was loading. It will all come. Im just speedballin!
