Honestly, how do you feel about Modern Warfare 3

When you look back at all the time you have spent playing this game, is the overall experience good or bad?

I have a few bad matches and I always encounter everybodys favorite douche, but honestly I have a great time playing this for the most part, I actually have fun 90% of the time.

Again you can quit with the name calling because it doesn't help your argument at all.

Lag Compensation began in Black Ops. Also, I started with Call of Duty 2, it was the very first game I played on Xbox 360, and my very first xbox live game. I then moved on to MW, then WaW, then MW2, then BO, then MW3

You need to just calm down and relax, go find a glass of water or something, I think you are taking the internet a little bit too seriously.

Like I said half of MW2s problems can be blamed on the community and how the abused the system. If you take DC and OMA for what they were, they were great perks, nobody expected people to use them for INFINITE NOOB TOOBS. Same with Commando, looking at it objectivly it was a great perk, nobody expected that people would use it for teleportation powers.

Blops is the most boring CoD game to date. When it first came out matchmaking was horribly broken and was spreading out parties all over the place. Hit Detection was horrible and still is, and it takes near entire clips to kill people to this day. Blops was the first to use Lag Compensation and it shows.

MW2 was like playing Dogeball while the gym teacher was asleep. Blops is playing Dogeball with the teachers rules.

Spawn Systems are horrible in ANY game, and if you think Blops had better spawns then MW2 you are insane. Minimum support can be blamed on the legal battle between Activision and Infinity Ward.

Some people really need to grow up, you will never get your argument across if all you do is scream and cuss at people.

Clearly you do not read at all because I said the exact same thing numerous times.

Campers do not bother me in game because if they manage to kill me I can find them again and flush them out to kill them next time. This board really dissapoints me in its level of maturity.

Like I said campers don't bother me in game because I have the skills to take them out. I'm just sick of people calling camping anything other than what it is. Camping is camping. If you are held up in a house waiting for bad guys to cross your ADS who come up the stairs, thats camping. You are not "Patrolling" or "Surveying" you are camping.

All I am saying is don't sit in a corner and go 52-1 and tell me you are "pro at CoD" because you aren't.

I get tired of people always saying MW2 was the downfall of the series.

Take away OMA and DC and you have the best multiplayer on the planet. Even those perks were only bad because the community glitched them up. Commando was a good perk but again, Infinity Ward didn't count on the community abusing the hell out of it.

MW2 was a huge innovation for the series, and aside from those issues was pretty much perfect. Some of my best online experiences ever were playing with friends on MW2.

Black Ops came and while it wasn't the worst CoD it wasn't that good either. It had an extremly slow paced and is the only CoD game where I have won and lost matches because of Time, not score. It was OK, but IMO was a dissapointment coming from MW2, which techincally was so well built

MW3 is good once you get around the frustrations. Yes people camp and etc. Yes people use overpowered guns, but its issues have been no different than the issues in other CoD games. The biggest issue however is Lag Compensation, Blops 2 needs to abandon this system, because it is terrible. Only Blops and MW3 have had this.

READ THIS: I personally like Call of Duty and already have my pre-order of Black Ops 2. I cannot wait for this game to come.

Every year, its almost an annual tradition of gamers to state that people are tired of cod and want something more, but every year the sales get bigger and bigger and bigger?

When do you think CoD will finally die? if ever...

Personally, I don't see it dying until next gen. With the new generation of consoles right around the corner, they will obviously try to put a CoD game as a launch title, and it will sell out the bazongas. I don't think it will be until a new face comes along that is better than CoD, and nothing has come along yet.

Black Ops 2 had 10 times the preorders of Black Ops One Day Pre-orders, and 30% more than MW3 Day One Pre-orders.

Activision dying? Are you smoking crack? Call of Duty is the best selling entertainment platform that has ever existed, MW3 earned over a billion dollars in 16 days. Elite has had over 6+ million people subscribe to it.

Black Ops 2 will beat MW3, its a fact. This series is unstoppable now.

Clearly I struck a note with you so i'll bite.

If I'm going around the map and I see someone fixing to run out of the door on my radar of course ill aim at the door so I can shoot him when he comes out. Now if I would have glitch-proned into a wall and aimed at the door for 5 minutes, I would be camping.

Camping is a cheap way to show skill and is only useful for people who think your KDR gets you laid or gets you a job. There is absolutly no tactical reason to camp other then defending a flag or making sure someone doesn't disarm your bomb you just planted. Something tells me you are the guy who goes 59-2 in Domination with 2 flag captures and thinks you are "leet"

I hardly ever blame deaths on camping because campers are idiots and I can flush them out after I die. 80% of my deaths in this game are purely from being outskilled by other players. 10% is from killstreaks I could have avoided, and 10% of from little streakmarks on the underpants that is Call of Duty.

I don't quite understand your name calling argument?

As far as recon droning goes, I mark enemies on the radar so my teammates know where they are camping at and can flush them out, or quit sprinting around the corner so they can be ready to take out the guy, or to know how many enemies are guarding a flag, disarming the bomb, etc. I will flat out activate my recon drone while standing still in the middle of a open map, I don't go hide in a corner. Its actually very useful and for TDM usually wins the game for us.

People are certianlly entitled to however they want, they bought the game, but don't consider yourself good if all you do is camp in a room and go 27-2. Because you aren't.

I've had games where I went 12 and 7 but I had the top score overall due to how much I helped out my team. My scores crush campers scores. And this was also in a TDM game.

Right now at my current level (37) I on average get around 3000 points, and about 5 thousand from match bonus if we win. I use UAV, Sam Turret and Recon Drone. UAV tells me where people are, Sam Turret gets rid of all Air Support, and Recon Drone gives me crap ton of points for picking out campers. Not bragging, but I am usually the top scoring player on my team every game since using this setup

Like I said defending flags could be borderline camping, you can guard the flag and still be moving around, which is perfectly fine, but when you chill in one spot with your crosshairs aimed at a hallway, thats camping, unlike the example that I said in which I knew by my radar to prefer for the guy running down the hallway.

I agree that Snipers are the worst, I loathe snipers period. At least Call of Duty isn't as bad as Battlefield in this aspect, holy crap.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts.

I somewhat agree. Guarding Flags and Bombs is defending, but not when you make an unfair advantage to the other team (Controlling Spawns, Spawn Killing, etc.)

When I defend flags in Domination I am moving around and checking my corners, not just hiding behind a box with my sights aimed down.

I've seen countless Machinima Respawn videos, and countless commentator videos of their scores going 82-3 or 24-1 or something like that, and they will use every term under the book. "Tactically holding down" "Defending an Area" "Its not campy" etc. But lets just call it what it really is, camping.

Now there is a difference between camping and preparing. For instance if I see someone running down a hallway on my radar, I will aim my sights at the door wating for him to come sprinting through so I can shoot him, thats not camping. I see it in MOAB videos all the time of people holding up in one little room and they have their portable radars in all of the doorways. Thats camping.

Staying in one area the entire game is camping, I don't care what you call it. You don't have to aim your sights down a hallway for it to be called camping. If you are held up in one area for the entire game it is camping, I don't care if you are trying to get a MOAB. You camped.

Defending a flag or a domination point is borderline camping. Being in a spot where the enemy had a clear chance to fight you is not camping, hiding behind the car and giving yourself only a fraction of viewing angle so the enemy couldnt hit you at all...thats camping.

I'm just so tired of seeing people defend camping, and beating around the bush of what they are really doing. I don't camp one bit. My KDR is .83 because I have fun when I play this game, and I also love to play Infection. My Blops KDR was around 1.27 when I quit, and I didn't camp on that either. I don't care about going 2949-2 either, its not true skill.

Just some thoughts.

Edit: Basically for anybody confused. If you stay in one paticular area of the map for the entire game, you are a camper. I'm not telling people they should rush all over the map all the time. But like people who hold up in those buildings on Seatown and purposly chill in the stairway and shoot anybody who tries to come up it, etc. are camping. They are easy to take out but it is still camping. Taking your time around the maps and checking things out is perfectly ok, as long as you do not hold up in one building the entire game. A game perfect for camping is Infected. I hate playing Domination and seeing people simply camp the flags instead of playing the objective.

It's just as bad in Black Ops, I had the same mentality as you, but Black Ops is by far the worse of the two.

Everybody camps just as much, not only that, the lag will kill you more times then not. I cannot tell you how many firefights I have lost due to lag.

Downturn is the worst by far.

Maps I personally don't like are Arkaden (aka Camp Central), Village, Carbon, and Bakarra.

Playing Black Ops has shown me a new appreciation for MW3.

So with Blops 2 annouced I figured I would fire up the old Blops disc and play a bit.

I'm by no means a pro, and I am not a pro at MW3 either.

I use to think Blops was the better game but holy crap, its not. Not even by a mile.

During my 4-6 hour jounrey I experieced horrendus lag, lag that makes MW3 blush. It takes entire clips to kill ememies, and all my hitmarkers added up. The game is painfully slow, I have had the time run out on quite a few matches. At one point I was playing a match 6 against 2. Hitboxes are all over the place, I have shot through buildings before and killed people (and not by the use of any perks) because it was lagging so bad The graphics difference between Blops and MW3 is insane, I don't care about graphics but MW3 looks like Crysis compared to Blops. A single yellow barer can bring down your entire enemy team to lag, and I have a perfect 4 bar connection in every game in Modern Warfare 3.

Modern Warfare 3 has its share of frustrations too, but Blops has shown me new respect. My personality has totally changed, now Blops is the game I rage quit at, not Modern Warfare 3. I really hope Treyarch fixes up Blops 2, cuz if it is ANYTHING like Blops, I am scared.

So to those of you who think MW3 sucks and Blops was better, I encourage you to play Blops again and see if your opinion holds up.

You can honestly not tell me that you decided to let your mentally challenged brother play for that one round. How on earth have you spent that much time in the game and still suck that bad?

I'm level 28 with a .78 KDR and I get to the top of the scoreboard better than some of these people, sheesh.

Is this the proper place to ask for MW3 friends?

Also, I am 95% sure it was not my connection, as NO OTHER GAME gave me lag or anything. Even playing Black Ops I only have lag when we have a 1-bar player in the room.
