In the land downunder - early costs for the Xbox One is $900 bucks, extra controller $100, games a bit over $100 each. Please please don't make subscriptions more expensive. If you compare exchange rates - us Aussies pay about a 40% increase in anything Xbox related compared to the US. Anyway- not not having a winge, just realizing I need to start a little Xbox find now:) I know it's not just us Aussies that pay overs either.

Side note - I had an idea (my own) that maybe the subscription system would change from a profile base to console based. However, it's been reported that your profile is transferable to X1 with your subscription (if any left over) in tow.

How far 300000 dedis go - no idea. I watched the reveal - they certainly didn't say there that the servers would be used for hosting games. I'm guessing cloud storage and keeping Xbox live running seemlessly into the future is the reason for a truck load more servers.

If you read some of the information that followed - Acti proposed a figure of 4 billion. Yikes. Mac reckons this figure is a bit high.

Let me put it this way - lets pretend that a figure of 1 billion dollars is around the right mark. If you spoke to Activisions accountant he/she would tell you this --> you need to make 1 billion dollars in extra revenue (simply put profit - not sales) compared to not having dedis to make financial sense - and that is a break even scenario.

Furthermore - desis do have some down sides. As years go by, and our own Internet connections get better, and the hardware we use gets better (ie Xbox 1) - then the less advantages dedis give comparitively.

The only thing I had against your proposed experiment was the fact that you wanted to time stamp - to sync things up. My point is that the game is not meant to be synced up in real time - time stamping (possible or not) would just distort the values you are after. That being said - if your after reaction times, whether or not there are "lag comp measures" that manipulate latency( ie a Host dis/advantage test) - I did provide an experiment a few pages back which worked off instances, not syncing gameplay. Note: I put caveats on the nature of undergoing such tests. If you think my experiment is a load of crap - that's ok. At the very least I gave you something which isn't dismissive of what your trying to achieve.

I, for one, am happy to have my ideas challenged. Furthermore, I'm happy to ask questions to get clarification or different points of view - with that I can then filter the added information. What gets my goat is taking the trouble of writing my opinion- then to have all that is positive (what the reader may agree with) totally overlooked. Instead, an area which doesn't suit the reader's cause is attacked as unhelpful or wrong. Unfortunately, we can all be prone to reading what we want to read.

It has a blue ray drive - that's nice for watching your movies off. I, like many others out there, have a blue ray player which runs my home theatre speakers. Thus, at the moment my 360 sends its audio through my blue ray player. Hhhmmm - so as far as I understand I can play my movies through the blue ray drive on the X1, but will still have to send the audio though my blue ray player.

I would love to get rid of my blue ray player - if the X1 could handle running the speakers directly. An all in one system should mean being able to reduce the amount of devices and cords - as it is I'm going to have more cords because of having to use X1Kinect - too many cords - arrrgggg. An annoying first world problem ;)

The 360 version is being run off the same engine. So, what is the differences going to be to the X1 version? Is it a simple matter of the graphic levels are scaled back for the 360. The X1 version of ghosts is said to be taking advantage of the X1's vastly improved hardware - so surely the the versions must be different.

The fact that Ghosts has been made with both the 360 and X1 in mind leads me to think that BO3 will take further advantage of the possibilities of the enhanced engine as it stands.

But, I would love the guns to feel more chunky, more of a handful, more recoil. For example, I loved the Galil in BO1, even though it wasn't my most efficient gun. I enjoyed the Barret 50cal in MW2 over the intervention - Just the sound alone was satisfying.

However, I think we all get frustrated due to an explanation of "we only have so many slots". Thus - in the planning make HC flexible. Allow for more slots than is initially thought.

One playlists that hasn't been mentioned yet - a HC DLC playlist when required.

If larger maps are made - maybe War could be an idea - a little shake up.

In my opinion I will not excuse 3arc for not informing gamers of the local glitch, the only way I knew about it was through this very forum. My standpoint, prevention is better than cure. When it comes to information transfer, I understand fully that the devs have to put up with a whole lot of BS. My issue is not neccessarily with the level of information, but the nature of the information, and how it has been given. I'm not saying that my way of dealing with information is perfect, far from it, and I agree that some gamers just don't want to be convinced. My humble opinion is that if you can see a better way of doing things - then that's what to aim for. If anyone can convince me that I'm wrong, that 3arc's PR has been the best way to go, I'm all ears.
