I think his point is just how much time and effort have you guys spent campaigning on here about these "issues" to which the devs said they were not seeing and you all responded "liars". If we go by players complaining of lag then the problem has ALWAYS been horrible since the game started and has not gotten any better.

You guys sure are spending ALOT of effort to get your 60 bucks back on a game that has been "unplayable" since day one is the point he was trying to make. not that you should never complain but that at some point you should realise that they are not going to do anything and move on.

and his point was that if he was in your shoes He would have moved on along time ago like MOST WOULD.

It works both ways bro, iv'e read a lot of your thoughts and opinions. I'm not having a go here, nor do i want to start a flame war. It as become apparent to me that you are highly influenced by certain members of this forum. That's no problem, but certain people also seem to be sporting rose coloured glasses when it comes to this game.

Remember that there are also experienced gamers that have different opinions than yours, just because we may come across as whiny does not mean we are wrong.
seeing a problem and wanting it fixed is one thing. Its something else to go around saying that they people who made the game dont know what they are talking about. and thats putting what you guys have been saying about the devs politely. Little to no respect is shown.

If this game is as unplayable as you all claim where is the proof that it is that bad? answer? it doesnt exist. in every single "proof" video you get a couple clips from one game. maby 3-4 from the same game and thats all. they dont bother showing you the 20 kills they got no problem. its just those 3-4 that they have issue with. thats not unplayable. annoying maby, but most certinally not anything I would instult the developers over.

some claim to have a disadvantage ALL the time while on 4 bars/host. where is the proof of this? where? in the 2 clips of 2 deaths from different games that he posted? In just about every video out there their deaths can be easily explained. too many players think they are landing bullets when they are not (there is a reason for this). Sure there are moments of lag every now and then. but THATS NORMAL.

over the last few days a few members of the forums have FINALLY after months of asking posted their live gameplay. Like always I looked at their videos with an open mind (despite what you think My conclusions are based off of my own efforts of looking into this. I have spent hours and hours doing so pouring over live gameplay claiming lag comp issues FRAME BY FRAME. I went through every gun fight, back and forth dozens of times. and did not see any sign of the super lag problem they claimed. In almost every case its the player seeing crap that looks like lag and getting pissed off about it never realising it wasnt lag at all.

so what do they do then? they all go and search lag videos. they hear about lag comp and because they believe they have seen lag all over the place (because they kind of have, thats the funny part of the Illusion. It really looks like lag) they dont question it. Nor do they question anyone else who claims to have lag problems even if those claims about lag comp are contradictory to what they themselves are claiming. and therefore in the end it looks like everyone has lag. no one stops to think that its not all the same thing happening. because it looks like lag thats good enough.

There is far more proof out there that what Im saying is going on is then what you guys are claiming.

Forgive me i only read the first sentence, and already you need correcting. Not ever have i ever disrespected the devs, nor do i disrespect anyone. Yes i can become animated at times, but only when i feel i am forced into a corner. There are also people on this side of the fence that have full respect for the human race, granted there are folks who speak out of turn, but again that also works both ways.

Like i said though, i was not having a go, so i will leave now after already shaking your hand.

Just putting this out there, but how many of you guys still only play this franchaise just for nostalgic reasons?.

I personally still play because it was my introduction into online play, (the title i play varies from week to week). Do you still get the same enjoyment you did 4, 5, 6 years ago?.

Hopefully things will get back on track and we will be blown away again.

Your right though cheating is absolutely out of hand nowadays.

I was reading a thread yesterday regarding connections being ping based, i.e, the lower your ping, latency, the better your experience should be. Absolutely this should be the case, too many opportunists, exploiters will otherwise riddle any game with cancer using the current system.

I honestly coudn't believe what i was reading in some cases, the only person making any sense in that thread was nub, and he seemed to be taking flak for the most sensible oipinions in that thread.

You honestly think your average player, which is now 10-16 year olds won't try anything to gain the upperhand including bogging their connection, which in turn totally ruins it for other people, i think not.

I am honestly dumb founded with some peoples views in that thread.

Serious revamp.

I'm fully aware as to some of you guys thoughts and allegiances towards this franchise, but seriously?

Just so everybody is fully aware, there was no bigger fan boy than myself, (at a time when it was deserved).

If i beat the same drum and some of you think, ahhhh........ not him again, saying the same old things... stop and pause for a moment.

I stopped and paused a bit ago to be honest and the light was blinding..................Personally i have seen this franchise for what it really is.

Any queries as to my thought process will be replied in kind but also beer influenced.

Just a thought, pgr3 had a feature called gotham tv, usually it featured a player in a race that they deemed worthy of this type of exposure. It was kind of thrilling knowing you were being featured on the channel and that people were actually watching.

The obvious now, cod tv, if they were to incorparate something similar, it should have the desired effect and accelerate interest. Having tourneys online and featuring them on (COD TV) should encourage some of the community and add tons of excitement, which for my money is what is needed for a winning formula.

Yep, they are business, but like all large corparations nowadays their end goal is a tasteless vile destination.

I dread to think how the world could be like in 10 to 20 years time with this same motivation that they represent.

I didn't even realise a re-release was on the cards, infact i have just had to do a tad of research. On which platforms is it likely to be released on?, looks awesome though. I do remember it vaguely from back in the day.

At one time i think i was too competitive for my own good. I never took it to the next level because i had more important things i had to concentrate on. As some have already said it takes allsorts in this world to make it a varied colourful place.

If someone feels the need to take their gaming a step further and ultimately (as they see it) try to acheive gaming greatness, then so be it.

Honestly though i personally feel as this as already been tried and tested without too much success, i don't see it reaching the heights that some have their hopes pinned onto.

He isnt comparing the two, he is just stating how much WORSE EA is.

I wasn't comparing the two either, it's plain to see EA are just as hungry. The way i read it was that it was suggested that the guys at Activision were close to being whiter than white compared to EA. Where as in actuality both publishers are close to being as bad as each other in that regard.

The real picture for me at least show's the devs hands being tied, lessening their ability to give us games they know they are capable of, and dampening their passion in the process which will only lead to them becoming despondent.

You know the drill smother someones creativity and the conveyor belt thing becomes tiresome really quickly.

I'm familiar with that person, i'm not going to watch the vids, but the remark he made is horrible, i never thought he was arrogant like that, he always comes across quite laid back.

Good point, that is without doubt part of the reason the cod franchise as not of yet fulfilled it's potential. Having said that the hierarchy won't complain as that is mainly the reason the franchise reached the stratosphere and continues to maintain that very position in orbit.

My gut feeling however tells me that the pedestal may have a wobble on, and the real fans have been turned off, leaving only the generation that many of us know cause many issues and heartache to true gamers to further downgrade the franchise.

I swear if i had followed my dreams and become a dev, i would't take the crap from the publishers.
