Tho whole Barracks section is a mess, with challenges being the worst. They tried to make it too fancy, and you have to progress through one too many steps to finally get the info you are after. I can live with it, its not a game breaker, but it is certainly less convinient than previous versions.

I find it silly that after all these games, challenges are still locked until you are at the rank that unlocks that weapon. If you are allowed to pickup any weapon that gets dropped, regardless of your rank, you should get credit towards your challenges at least. I thought they would have corrected this when they finally went with the idea of not restarting all your challege progress upon Prestiging.

But I didn't like when it became an all inclusive perk that blocked everything. Make it just the UAV, and let it be countered by higher tier Spy Plane or SR71. The perk shouldn't block sentry guns, thermal scanners, hearbeat sensors, prevent your fired weapon from showing up, block portable radars, disable EMPS, or anything else you can think of that might be tied to it. Separate those things into other perks that way you are forced to choose one or the idea.

In my mind, perks should only grant small advantages that can be tailored to ones playstyle. They shouldn't be thise powerful, all inclusive perks that can change a game. They also shouldn't be so powerful that it seems like everyone uses the same ones and you are at a disadvantage if you don't use them too.

It would probably help if this forum was titled "Website feedback/suggestions" and there was another forum added for "Game feedback/suggestions". Obviously the current setup has been creating plenty of confusuon for awhile. It seems that when people want to make feedback and suggestions for the game, they feel it belongs in a section labeled feedback/suggestions and not in genereal discussion. It would probably help the devs plenty of random thread conversations are separated from legitimate game feedback.

Scorestreak loadout/Create-a-class idea.

EDIT: My apolgies if this idea has already been brought up, I didn't even think to search first.I just had a thought and started typing away.

So as I was browsing the bits of new information, I saw there was mention that the Scorestreaks will not have a separte setup for each create-a-class slot.

Personally I like the idea of having multiple Killstreak/Scorestreak loadouts. My uses for items selected change depending on the Create-a-class loadout I have, or depending on how the match plays out. Now I am aware that the scorestreak reward method will be like Black Ops 1 where the counter resets at death. I'm cool with that idea. My idea is really about the application of choosing and setting up scorestreaks and how they relate to the create-a-class.

First looking at previous setups...

COD4 & WAW- 3,5,7 Kill based reward structure with zero custom options.

MW2 & Black Ops- Create-a-class separate from Killstreaks. Killstreak rewards are unlockable and you can custome choose your loadout. The loadout is the same for all classes.

MW3- Each create-a-class loadout has its own killstreak loadout.

From what I understand, those at Treyarch feel the MW3 design will not work well with the new Black Ops 2 "pick 10" create-a-class system. My idea is closer to the MW3/BO design but with one advancement. Keep the scorestreaks separate form the create-a-class. Then give us for example, 5 scorestreak loadout slots. Then before a match when we choose our create-a-class loadout, we can choose a different scorestreak loadout. The first slot would always be the default at the start of a match unless or until a different one is chosen. Then in middle of a match, just like when you change your create-a-class loadout, you could change a scorestreak loadout. To me this is the best of both worlds. You allow for more customization options, but you don't tie the scorestreaks directly to the create-a-class. But you still have the ability in match to change scorestreak loadouts depending on how the match turns out, and your choice of classes.

Either way I could have earned the same amount of killstreaks. I'm being penalized for being good, not getting killed, and not using my killstreaks. I was in the C1 block by the two large gate doors. I called in a sentry gun package and then a care package. The sentry gun lands first. It hits the corner of a container on the way down, hits the ground and passes right through one of the doors.

Custom class/clan tag errors when using split screen

Whenever my friends and I play Black Ops using split screen, we are constantly running into the problem of our clan tags being switched as well as custom classes and custom playercards being screwed up.We always carry our profiles on memory sticks and always chose our own memory stick as the device to save to. It always changes one of the persons clan tag to the other persons clan tag permanently until you get home and change it back. It does some screwy stuff with custom classes too. Sometimes it gives one person the other persons class...sometimes it just renames the other persons classes. Most of the time its just one person getting the other persons class names. Once my friend had all my classes and names for a match. And then on the next match he had all his classes, but still with my class names. We looked at the custom playercard one time, and as we were looking at it it kept bouncing all the unlocked layers from one persons to the other. There doesn't seem to be any consistent patter to whats going on. There are 4 of us total, but usually just two playing split screen at one of the persons houses. No matter what the situation, it seems that all the custom options seem to go nuts when playing split screen. You never know which way its going to be. The only thing that doesn't change are our choice of killstreaks.

It held alot of rounds, but sucked didn't impress me with firepower. The Thompson was just plain fun to shoot. And me having the M1 with rifle grenades worked out well in our group. The rifle held more rounds and was more powerful, but everytime you reloaded a grenade you had 3 shots before needed a reload. It was great for knocking out swarms at a distance. Also everytime you got a max ammo, your rifle grenade inventory went to 40 instead of 20.

It doesn't even matter if you want to play the game with delivering the bomb in mind, if everyone is not playing that way the game is toast. I've played other games where bomb delivery or other objective based games use a respawn...and they are fun. Campers ruin the no-repawn objective games.
