DOCSIS 3.0 & UDP traffic

Anyone know if DOCSIS 3.0 can cause lag? Four of us (my Clan has 25 or so) that are having lag issues are using DOCSIS 3.0 modems. Wondering if It would be worth it to try a 2.0 modem?

I've never dashboarded, but I leave games that are laggy. Also, since I am almost always host, if I get three team kills and it cannot kick me, then then it puts me on a one minute probation before I get into the next lobby. Doesn't happen often but sh!t happens.

I got put on probation twice last night for team kills. Couldn't kick me because I was the host

I agree. I refuse to stay in a match when I'm getting 3-5 hit markers on a guy ans I get shot in the leg ONCE and insta-die.

That's a good question. Unfortunately, there's no way to know. The only way to get anywhere close is to ping from your computer. At least you will know if its on your end or not.

If they don't fix it then no map packs will be purchased by myself and many others. I know if my friends and I feel that way, I'm sure others do as well.

Ping a server a couple of states away. I get 29ms to 8.8.8.8

I started doing this with MW3 and it helped my sx reading problems. Also it lengthens the life of your optic drive.

What's your ping? Upload speed plays no part in latency.

I don't know. I've been put on 1 minute probation multiple times but no 24 hour ban yet. A guy that I play with has though. He reset his modem and XBOX and found out that he was banned.

I will continue to do so. It's worth it. (Sorry about the Host Migration). If I get a 24 hour ban, I will just put in BO1, which is virtually LAG-FREE for me. Usually I'm so frustrated by that point, I want to play something else anyways.

How are you going to make a game that is as fast paced as BO2 without PERFECT, precision hit detection?

Yeah, I just can't see spending any more money on a game that I have a hard time playing every night. I played 2-4 hours per night wirh BO1 and MW3. I can't hardly spend a half an hour before I get so mad that I rage quit with this turd they call Black Ops 2.
