Just take a break from it for a week or more and youll come back feeling fresh again. Its easy to get burnt out.

Is there a divide forming in the Call of Duty community?

Over the past couple of months I have been hearing lots different views from people regarding different COD titles. I have heard lots of people saying they dislike Black Ops and lots who love it, while there are lots who love the Modern Warfare franchise and those that hate it.

For me my first COD game was Black Ops and I really enjoy playing it.

I then became curious about the franchise and played MW2 which, although I didnt enjoy as much as Black Ops I did still enjoy it.

However I feel that the Black Ops engine felt more balanced and made for more exciting gameplay overall and thats why I am looking forward to the next Treyarch title.

So my question is - given my example, do you feel that there is a divide in the community whereby people are die hard fans of Treyarch and die hard fans of Infinity Ward?

If so which one do you prefer and what made you prefer that?

I actually don't mind camping, it can be a challenge to try and remove the camper from their position.

I feel stupid to have been so excited for MW3 at work and then rush home and put the disc in when I got home, to find that it absolutely sucks. I was excited for it for a long time but now its done, I can't see myself going back on it.

Lol same happened to me. I really tried to enjoy it but it just flopped. All my friends thankfully have decided to give up on it too and have some laughs on Black Ops again.

As I said in my previous post, I love Black ops. But overtime I am in need of a change of game. I thought mw3 might do that, but it has failed. The problem I have is that I still love Black Ops but ive already played it a lot, so I am going to have to wait until next year again.

I think people post things like this because you have to think about what Infinity Ward have done. They had two years to produce a new game fresh for the community. Look at COD WAW, released November 2008 - Then Black ops Nobember 2010. Look at the difference, two years of creativity. The basis is the same but everything was new and their engine was upgraded and modified.

Infinity Ward have spent two years creating a game inferior to Black ops and inferior to MW2, overshadowing Black ops in terms of usage and taking 400 million dollars plus in sales already. Its not fair.

Dazzy1984 I totally agree with your entire post. Treyarch really do make the best COD titles, its such a shame that a lot of the community that I have seen, don't agree with that.

I tried MW3 even though I didn't like MW2. I am so disappointed and refuse to play it now, it really is appalling. I hate the maps, the colour schemes, the feeling that I have gone back in time to 2007 - 2009. The terrible spawns, the generally annoying gameplay where people get cheap kills. I like to move forward as a gamer.

So I have gone back to Black ops and will play it until Treyarchs next title. I have no faith in Infinity Ward anymore, I think Treyarchs team are clearly more creative and are generally on the ball. I loved the look and feel of Black ops. Just look at the maps that they created, Nuketown, Firing Range, Hangar 18. They all had great Cold War themes. In fact there is not one map I would drop out of a lobby for if it came up. I enjoy every single one.

Treyarch created a brand new game with never before seen things in a COD game and that is why I love it. Plus the Cold War was a very long time and there is so much more in terms of military technology and locations to be discovered. Don't worry, Treyarch know what they are doing. I can't wait for their next title, even if it is on the same engine then great, I love their engine.
