I have, then had, and now have this very same issue again.... This may solve your problem, it did for me until... Well... Read on.

So I get the game opening night. Works fine, then the very next day it starts saying "disc is unreadable" after completing a multiplayer match. My xbox was sitting vertically in my entertainment center. This happened to me with MW3 until I installed it on the hard drive, then never again. So after 30 or 40 minutes of trying to get it to work I sent a message to xbox.com/support. They asked for my serial number. This required me to pull the box out and lay it horizontally on the floor. When I did this and started the console I noticed the black ops 2 logo where it normally said play disc. So I decided to try and install it one more time. IT WORKED!! I got it to install, played it for a week with no flaws and dropped the issue with xbox.com/support. I played a lot with no problems, beat the campaign, played zombies, and even achieved prestige master and have logged a total of 10 + days with the game. With no problems at all. That was until today...

Today, like an idiot, I was freeing up space on my hard drive. I accidently deleted the install file for black ops 2. It will not work. Same issue, this time no matter how I position the xbox it will not work or install. This totally sucks, I bought the season pass and there is no way I am spending a dime to send my xbox to xbox.com/support, nor am I wasting time on replacing the disc.

I completely agree with everything stated above. I think the problem here is Activision, Treyarch, whoever the responsibilty falls on.. both... individually... whatever! A few problems I have with the biggest video game of all time:

1. LAG

2. Bad servor response (Elite is basically a joke, it doesn't work and never has, probably why its completely free now)

3. Spawn Exploitation (not talking about a fortunate spawn, we're talking about the fact that any kid can get a few friends play CTF HC, hold every spawn point and kill as people spawn)

4. Mods, Hacks, Aim Assists, and Rigged Controllers (just google there are so many it makes me sick)

HUGE ISSUES, until all are fixed Activision is going to have a lot of trouble turning this into a sport game competition similar to WSOP. It devalues the game for the people that actually want to play a legit game and get good.

The problem is the investors, these companies are too big for their own britches and the only way they will fix it is to hurt the investors at their pockets. Each game is basically a repackage of the last one, tweaked with new maps. A profit machine for a game that really isn't that much different from the last. Try returning a sports game to gamestop... You'll get $.50 cents for that NBA 2008 that you forked out $50. Not long until COD starts losing its value.

Again, the only way they will fix it is if people literally stop playing and stop buying the extra downloads. I bought the season pass and seriously regrit it. I'm so close to 10th prestige I'm tempted to finish and pop in MW2 or MW3.

The ELITE Servers are anything but Elite...

I love Activision and COD. Been a fan since the original MW and have bought every game and download package since. That being said I have a horrible taste in my mouth.

I have not had one session on Elite where I have not gotten a bad server response. This is exactly why I stopped using Elite its SO EFFING FRUSTRATING. As a clan leader I have tried to stay as active as I can but it is literally impossible to register... The whole thing is fickled.

Seriously guys STEP IT UP, you've had more than a year to work out these server issues and it's not like you guys are new to online gaming.

In my opinion at this point there is no excuse, they've had plenty of time.

And another thing, what is up with the spawning on Black Ops II. It's by far the worst I have ever seen. You'd think this would be fixed by now. On Carrier for example I have literally gone 2 and 42 on CTF HC 90% of my deaths were in a split second of spawning.

I feel like there is too much corporate pressure to bring in more profit for less work and its starting to show. Numerous mods, spawn campers and aim assists. Just as bad as if the game just made its first appearence. I know it can be a challenge to stay on top of, but you CAN DO BETTER, A LOT BETTER. COD is on top right now and has been for a while. With this crap going on I could see this as a huge opportunity for another game to dethrone COD. Which is sad, this is literally my favorite game... You can only play a re-packaged game so many times.
