Agreed - this game is poorly executed. I've had these problems since release and even though the games has apparently been patched, it's not fixed the problem for me. I wonder if they fixed host lag but have not addressed lag for players with good internet connections but are not hosting...

I'm not buying another COD period.

Since the patch I have noticed some improvement but it's far from fixed. One game plays OK, the next completely the opposite. I only play hardcore game types as the standard version is still unplayable.

I played for a couple of hours Sunday evening and got one good game. I also noticed that I usually join 50ms or 75ms game lobbies but last night best I could get was 100ms and had to play a few at 125ms.

Less than happy about the poor quality of this game. Still learnt a lesson, no more COD games.

Lag is still terrible for me too, no changes since the latest patch. The game is unplayable with lag like this.

For those that have a good connection/little or no lag and think we're whining over nothing - consider yourselves very fortunate and stop hating on the rest of us who paid good money for a poor online experience.

I waited for the patch - which made no difference at all. So yes, I'd send my copy back. its Last COD game I buy.

Thanks for the replies - just don't know what to do with this game.

I've tried all the recommended settings and waited for the patch with anticipation but only for my hopes to be dashed. I'm glad I'm not the only one still getting lag but this is cr*p.

all I want from MW3 is to play on an equal basis as everyone else!

I'm on version 1.3.466, what are you guys on?

I downloaded the latest patch last night and played a few hours on kill confirmed and domination but the lag was a bad as ever and also got rubberbanding and some frame rate issues that I'd not had before. The patch seemed to make my multiplayer worse.

Please no advice on connections or what have you - I've tried them all and it's made no difference. I just wondered what version people are playing and whether or not you still have lag.

My copy's going back. The multiplayer game is unplayable. I've tried to 'fix' it by opening ports, static IP turning off theatre, wired connection etc etc but it made no difference. Then I tried reversing those changes but nothing. I'm not buying another COD game.

I'm done with this sh*t. I've requested a refund from Amazon and this is going back tomorrow. Not wasting anymore of my life on this cr*p. Will not be buying another COD game, ever.

Signed (again) after seemingly having a better experience playing hardcore matches, I found it was just the same laggy cr*p. hope they fix this - can't be bothered to keeping trying for much longer...

I've stopped playing 'standard' games on multi player as I've had my fill of 0.5 k/d (at best). I played hardcore domination yesterday evening and appeared to have no lag - if you haven't already, try playing hardcore.

ISP = Virginmedia cable 30mb/s down, 3mb/s up

NAT = Open

Connection = Wired

Region/Country = UK

Please do what you can to resolve this issue, I host almost every game and clearly at a disadvantage to other players, really has been unplayable and is spoiling what would otherwise be a top game.

Sign from me too, terrible lag making my multiplayer unenjoyable and unpplayable. I've started the campaign and hope that the lag compensation is fixed asap.

I have cable broadband which is wirelessly connected to the xbox. I get 15mbs down and 3mbs up. Lags like hell, simply can't play mp at all. I've also tried all the advice going except I can't try a wired connection.

I want to reset my progress because it's not representative of my performance... very disappointed with the mp element of this game.
