So if the price matches that's around £190 for us Brits.

We never get a good deal close to the exchange rate, it'll more likely be £229 - £249 or thereabouts, if $299 is accurate.

Good point, I also forgot others:

Zero Day DLC. You only get it if you pre-order. For those who like to gamble.

Retailer Exclusive DLC. You only get it if you pre-order from a specific retailer. For those who like to gamble, whilst putting independent/mom & pop stores out of business.

Free DLC. On those chilly days in hell, developers sometimes release map packs and other add-ons, for free.

Do you mean finding out about the maps on the PC disc? If so, there's loads of articles about it, dating back to November, e.g.:

the Devs code all the maps into the disc and release special codes that unlock them for playing.

The maps aren't on the disc (there's 5 maps on there from previous games, but none of the DLC maps). Think you're getting confused with what some other publishers do.

There's ~4 types of DLC:

1. On-disc DLC. Small amounts of content that was created for the game originally to be released as part of it, but publisher decides to lock it as DLC, to milk their customers for every last penny. What you download to unlock it, is typically under a couple of MB.

2. Off-disc DLC. Small amounts of content that was created for the game originally to be released as part of it, but publisher decides to lock it as DLC, to milk their customers for every last penny. The publisher knows that they will recieve criticism for having it as On-disc DLC, so you download it all instead, hoping that you won't notice that you are still being fleeced.

3. Expansion Packs. Larger amounts of content, created during and after development of the main game, to expand upon it and keep it playable. The games that these are released for (e.g. CoD, BF, Fallout 3, Elder Scrolls, etc) usually provide 200+ hours of entertainment for $60, yet when expansion packs are released, some players complain that they should have been included in the original cost...

4. Horse Armour, and Hats. For the truly gullible.

People spend over 200 dollars per call of duty game just for DLC (60 for the game, 50 for special services as CoD Elite and Live, and about 70 dollars for maps we already own.)

The cost of Elite includes the map packs, you don't pay twice for them. People are daft for paying twice for their internet with Live though.

So, discounting Live, that's $110 per game. If you only play MW3 for ~10 hours before quitting, that's fairly expensive. But if you play it for 200-400 hours, it's stupidly cheap.

Got to agree, Overwatch does look great - the first MW3 map that doesn't look like it was designed a decade ago.

Soz, but not going to happen. Nintendo's restrictions on download size, the Wii's limited storage, and relatively poor sales of MW3 on the Wii, means that it has zero chance.

You could instead try asking Activision nicely for:

1. A patch

2. The new gamemodes which are on the disc

You've ran into me, on more than one occasion. You also said that I was a good player, hard to beat. Nothing about being obnoxious.

I would like to know about the:

who trash talk like kids, and ragequit when losing, and break there own rules ie:No fmgs, no hacking, no glitching etc,

I don't trash talk, don't ragequit, don't use FMG's, don't hack, and don't glitch.

For all the other OG's I've played with, I've only known a few to use FMG's (nothing in our rules about them, but I didn't write them), and not seen/heard any trash-talking, ragequitting, hacking, or glitching. I'd like to see your evidence of such though, I'm sure the other OG's would too.

Every OG ive run into have been obnoxious to say the least.

Yeah, every - single - one.

They all hack, cheat, cuss, ragequit, use akimbo FMG9's, talk trash, break into houses, mug old ladies, incite riots, torture puppies, sell arms to dictators, and operate third-world sweatshops.

No evidence of this of course, just one of them once looked at me funny.

It's hard to believe that this forum is meant for grown-ups.

If you want to look at it selfishly then think that these things keep those players playing, the same players that you destroy daily to feed your killstreaks.

I hardly see any newbs using FMG9 akimbo. It is always high level/prestige players, who would play okay without them.

I'm also sure that they are also responsible for making others quit playing - the type of players who don't cheat, use whatever guns they like, and are fun to play against - including newbs to the game.

Where's the fun in playing against whole teams all running FMG9 akimbo, match after match? It's boring, and it's infuriating.

(Btw, my problem is with akimbo FMG9's, I don't really consider anything else OP)

Actually, in one match I managed to lock on to a UAV on Mission with a Stinger, but in the earlier matches I couldn't lock on with a SMAW. Odd.

Nintendo's limit is 40 MB for downloadables (why we didn't get Super Meat Boy etc).

I'm really hoping that they are doing some forward thinking this time with the Wii U...
