Most games no matter the rating are aimed at younger players........like said in the post above, the cartoonish graphics, bright colors ect, do attract the young players, I thought the graphics on MW3 were a lot better than BO2 and the maps were designed to make you switch up play styles.....

I am over 50yrs old and have seen a lot of changes in video games.......and if i live another 50yrs will see a lot more .........i would love a mode where one team is playing against the other team to take control of a town or part of the map ......and no respawns you die thats it......but this style or mode would be a hard for a room full of randoms

make sure the file you downloaded installed and activated .......if unsure you can re download it after it downloads it should install/activate

I know for sure BO2 will NOT be my primary game for a while anyway.....maybe once i feel less burnt than i am at the moment .....but until then i am looking for the next great game LOL

I also had this problem when in a party with my friends ......i had them to check what bandwith the game said they had, all of them reported speeds from 600kbps to 900kbps.....mine was almost 4000kbps.....a lot higher

so i set my router to limit my upload bandband with to 850kbps (averaged from my freinds speeds)

this helped a lot when the party had more than 4 people in it......but otherwise it was same ole same ole **** from game to game when playing solo or in partys less than 4

I blew the dust off of MSA (MotorStorm series) and damn it seem fun to play a game, that lag didnt really affect........if lag was present the wrost it meant for me was if i tried to block you from passing on the right lag might have you on the left......not a big deal IMO LOL

you must have the weapon you picked up, unlocked also.....if you havent unlocked itwith a token yet, it will not count it

I know BO2 is only a few months old, but couple that few months with MW3 and the last month of BO1 the time line gets longer ..I turned on my PS3 a couple of days ago loaded up BO2, while waiting on the game to find a lobby, it hit me i had a pit in my stomach wondering how the game play would be.........would i be on the good side of the lag or the bad side of the lag......

I played several games never knowing from game to game how the next one would be, but knew that Lag was going to be present either good or bad, and i also knew that if i was lucky enough to be on the good side of it, that other players were going to be on the bad side of it

I knew my first few days of playing BO1/ MW3 i was getting owned because i was a complete noob, still in the learning curve of the game,

but after a year of MW3 and the past months of BO2 I now know the Maps better weapons and loadouts ect........So I am nolonger a "true Noob",

I wonder have i really gotten better at the game, and How good is the player(s) that i am playing against......since Lag is always present

As I played i will admit that when i was on the good side of the lag ....I loved it ........I laughed and Joked with my clanmates and enjoyed the game

But during one of the games one of my clanmates asked me why i was so silent, another clanmate replied he is on the bad side of the lag.....this pissed me off at first, but after thinking about it, i knew he was right

with that Pit still in my stomach i played on until it hit, i am i really having fun anymore ......my anwser was NO

So i thought well i am just tired tonight, I turned off the system and went to bed

The next night i started up the PS3 along with BO2 ........and here came the Pit once again ........so this time i loaded up Zombies and played against the undead for a while, some of my clanmates joined me.....while it was fun to play without Lag ........the zombie games get old after a while since the only objective is to survive round after round.....i think round 24 is the highest i have survived to thanks to clanmates reviving my old ass

after two or three nights of Zombies which i dont really like .....i unloaded the game played a few of my older games and have been doing that each night since,,,,just hoping for the desire to play COD to return

This is NOT a thread to Bash any playstyle......

Do you change up your playstyle depending on other players, lag, drugs or booze lol

Some games i can rush like hell and be like a new lawnmower cutting down young tender grass

then the lag turns on me and rushing becomes impossible......player will just in front of me appear out of nowhere.or my bullets just pass right tru them with no hitmarkers.....then i have to go into camping mode because anything else is sucide

then the lag will change again where i cant rush, but i dont have to camp either, hit a spot get a kill or two collect the tags and move on (i prefer this style)

I know a lot of you experience the same

and large bunch of us know there is not a fix that would always puts everyone on an equal playing feild as far a lag is consrned

Do you change up your playstyle .have different loadouts.......or just turn off the game

I have to agree .....if one person is rushing or camping and doing well, others will try and mimic ... if i am competing challenges for a weapon i will slow down to get those headshots.....bloodthirstrys.....once those are complete, i adjust my gameplay to the lag and whats going on around me, or at least i try to.......

I dont think any playstayle ruins the game.......if you want to camp..camp......if you want rush ..rush....

but try to do it smarter than the others........

(1) Downhill, Downhill, DownHill, ........I love the map, ..trying to find that lodge at the top of the map on realtor.com LOL

(2) Hydro ......great map....the sound of the water, makes my old bladder work LOL

(3) Grind... its Ok colors are bright its easy to see players at a distance, but is a bit confusing with all the turns and curves

(4) Mirage.....its odd i hate this map. but it would probally would have been a fav, if only there were some color to the map.......everything is so bland i cant see **** on it.......i know its a desert map......and there isnt a lot of color in the desert

I got mine on HiJacked. i was coming from the swimming pool end of the boat, i enterned the catwalk on the lefthand side, was less than 1/2 way up the catwalk, i threw the axe toward the double boats on the other end.....i got a bankshot, and HailMary longshot all in one toss .........i saved the vid.now i just need to figure out how to slow it down and follow the axe lol

I downloaded mine on release day at 8am eastern time .......on a 30/5 meg line it took 10 -15 mins to download and a couple of minutes to install

I Own 2 PS3s

I file share with my other PS3 constantly

Several have posted that sony lets you set your account up on 2 PS3s........this is true,

because a large portion of people have more than one PS3, the vast majority have Two ( I saw some stats from a poll sometime back) that about 20% of PS3 owners had 2 PS3s, but once the number of PS3s went above 2 .then percentage of people dropped to like .05% for 3 and above, so that is the reason sony cut the number back to 2 to stop file sharing or at least slow it way down

I have never tried to log into my acoount at the same time from both PS3s, so i dont know if its possible or not.....i would think not but i could be wrong

HC for me, Mainly because my friends started me off on HC on MW3 and that is the mode i am most used too

After playing it for this long, i like it better, no HUD or minimap b eing up makes me learn the map layout better.... Killing is eaiser and so is dying, i normally aim center of mass, and 3 rounds your dead if not less ....on core it is harder because i need to aim upeer body more....but i find that i survive more gun fights on core also....

when the server count says there are over 600k people online, it seems that HC is less laggy, but this may be just the area i am in and the luck of the draw with server and players

I have friends who play Core 99% of the time, they say HC is to hard and enjoy, I play HC 99% of the time and i think Core is to hard to enjoy

Each mode brings its own flavor to the game, the flavor that you first get used to will be the one you like best........each one will require a different mindset when you start playing

I do see more spraying and praying on Core than HC when people come around a corner..

My take on the two modes HC vs Core .....is each mode has its goods points and its bad points .....and depending on how well you adapt to those points will determine on how well you do in that Mode

good going on staying in the Match.....i dont let stats rule my gameplay .....ii ahve had a game or two when playing solo my teammates either leave as the game starts or the server boots them out......so i figure even tho i am out gunned i still have 6 times the chance of killing them LOL.........i did have the rare occassion a week or so ago while playing HC/KC on AfterMath .my teammates either left or were kicked early in the game the score was aound 15-17 or close to that my team was winning when the mass exodus occured, oddly enough i never got any back up no one even came in and dashboarded......but i was able to finish the game and get a win ....the other team started running like crazy to find me...so i just moved slowly until i got a kill grabbed the tags and moved quickly to get out of that area......i did pass up several chances to get multi kills, becace i knew if i started dying i would start getting spawn killed......the game was a low score game it ended with a score of 31- 45 ...... i only wish my scoresteaks had been set higher LOL

After the game was over and we returned to the pregame lobby.....i was called a cheater, hacker, ******* and other names .....I just replied with "thank you for letting me win" .........then they left

I did try out the the orginal xbox .....i didnt like the bulky controllers ....the games were great, but sony won out in the end LOL

as far as online play goes i started my online gaming two yrs ago on the PS3 .....so i dont know crap about any other platform.......i did try PC gaming ...it was ok .....i just favor the bigger tv screens over computer monitors.... and the comfort of my recliner over the office chair

Well I an OLD Person (over 50)

so i play against younger people 99.9% of the time, I dont play Core for two resons

1. I started off with freinds who playerd Hardcore on MW3 and got used to no HUD and the extra bullet damage

2. I like the fact that you cannot just run around a corner spraying bullets just in case someone is there and expect to stay in a game

which one is harder or easier will depend on the person

If you depend on the HUD to show enemy movemts and knowing where you are on a MAP then HC is going to be harder

To me Core is harder now than HC for one reason .......on hard core if i line you up in my sights pop off a few rounds and your dead...... so taking the extra time to line up those upper body/headshots is not needed as much ......on core it is .......so one of my Bad Habits on core is popping a few rounds in a player .but not getting the kill

If i hit a room of campers playing HC/TDM over 50% of them are used to playing core and arnt used to the NO HUD and extra bullet damage ......BUT when i go to CORE TDM i become one of 50% of player who camp/semi camp ...because i need the extra time to line those shots up better

even tho it is the game type of game (TDM) playing Core or HC will make you change up your game if you want to play it and win ........easier or harder will depend on how much you are willing to change up

I know i will be buying one, how soon will depend on the price tag that sony put on the machine, at $399.00 it would be sooner, but if its is higher it will be later,

The Specs look good to me, but i am not a tech either........

I have owned just about every gaming system that came out since PONG was released in the early 1970s (in my area) except for the the xbox 360 .......so i know the PS4 will find a place in my home LOL
