Last night I watched a full match of Black Ops 2 with commentary on the map Yemen. The guy talking was completely excited about Black Ops 2 and was spazzing out a little bit but about half way through the video he noticed something and went crazy over it.

The thing he pointed out was a knife hitmarker. Now I can not confirm this 100% because I was watching the video on my phone and the quality wasnt the greatest. I could see the hit markers but it happened pretty quick and I just couldnt be sure if they were actually hit markers and if they actually came from the knife. I tried to find the video on my computer so I could view it on a bigger screen in more detail but its nowhere to be found.

He thinks the knife has been reduced in damage. He suggested perhaps its only 50 damage but Ive seen guys getting killed by 1 knife blow in Blops 2 so Im rather confused. Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone shed light on it?

P.S. I would also like to add something else about the knife. People seem to think that the lunge has been completely removed from the knife mechanic in Black Ops 2. I will just say 3 things. The videos we are seeing are being planned on a LAN connection. The knife mechanic does NOT have a lunge coded into it. The lunge affect we see is a result of lag and not a fault of the knife itself.

I did end up reading the full thread and it was very confusing. Anyways, these developers cant please everyone at once. I loved the tanks in WaW too and hoped they would continue that trend in Black Ops but the community convinced them that tanks were overpowered and disrupeted the balance of the game, therefore they were removed. However we were granted things like Huey's to fly around in, they just required more skill to obtain.

I've already seen some map intergration on Black Ops 2 on Cargo with the moving shipping containers, and we've only seen 4 maps.

Treyarch never claimed that they started fresh from the ground up. In fact it would be dumb to do that. The couldnt finish a game in 2 years if they did that. Instead they take the foundation that they already have and they add a bunch of new things to it. Things that make the game different than last year. An entirely new era. An entirely new way to customize our playstyle. Entirely new way to play zombies. Entirely new ways to play the campaign. There's so much NEW stuff in Black Ops 2 that you really have no right to complain that its just like its predecessors. To make claim of that would be ignorant and blatantly false.

As a company Treyarch listens to the community. They arent putting in Last Stand or Deathstreaks or Support killstreaks. Ghost is getting nerfed. The weapons and perks are revamped and can be modified if balance issues arise. In a sense they're doing everything right thus far and there really is no reason to be bitter about Black Ops 2 or towards Treyarch.

I see threads like these every singly year and then after the games release the same people are loading the forums with complaints and whines. A quick word of advice for you; The game still has 3 months until release and you're already bored of it, do yourself a favour and DONT BUY IT!

Edit: I went up and continued to read more. Seriously dude get your facts straight before you complain about things. In Blops 2 you will be able to have a total of 6 perks in one class. This would cost you 9 points. 3 in initial perks. 3 Wildcards. 3 secondary perks. A lot of players will probably just use a traditional setup but for experimental or experienced players, 9 perks and an AR sounds pretty sweet to me!

The rest just sounds like you've seen more gameplay than everyone else or perhaps you've played it yourself since you say SMGs and Shotguns serve no purpose in the game. Its like you made up your mind already without even seeing much of them in action or better yet, trying it for yourself.

Treyarch has reinvented CoD mp with game. Some things have remained and will always remian the same. Complaining about things as petty as weapon sounds is just evidential proof that you just like to whine. If you could see past the tiny little details and see the big picture then you'd probably learn to love CoD for the reasons its fun, instead of hating it for the reasons its not.

The options are so diverse that we will see different combos far more often when it comes to class set-ups. The way they balanced it was clever because you should definately have to pay a little extra if you expect an extra benefit.

Ive tried looking up many steps to improve my connection. My best result so far came from finding my ideal MTU number. I dont know about Xbox but on PS3 when you're giving your network information it has an MTU that is set at 1500 by default. This number is default because it is the max number and therefore the number applies to everyone. However people dont need that much MTU and the extra MTU they do get is what causes a lot of the lag. Google how to find your ideal MTU number and you have to follow the instructions and get your number. When you set up your network on your console change the default 1500 to whatever number you get. For example mine is 1471. Hope that helps.

Essentially there are certain things that cost 2 points. A second primary. A third attachment on your primary. A second attachment on your secondary. A second perk in a specific teir. An extra lethal equipment. I think there are one or two more but I cant remember what they are. Thats how it is though. To have 3 attachments or multiple perks of the same teir would be overpowered so you should have to give up something else in order to gain that advantage, therefore maintaining balance.

I understand that there are good players who can camp, and when they camp they become even better players. Thats only because camping is a somewhat cheap tactic. Everyone knows that its much easier to kill a person while you are sitting still. Everyone also knows that you are much harder to see if you are sitting still. Camping is a legitimate strategy but it gives you those two advantages over everyone else. The guys that are running around and getting killed by the campers are the ones who are actually capping flags and planting bombs. They're also the guys who are trying to end the game before the timer runs out by increasing the flow and fast paced action of the game. Campers ruin that because they choose to play the easy way.

Campers are not good players. Campers are players of all skill types who are merely cowards.
