OP I couldn't agree more. The previous version was the best since launch night. This is horrendous. Frame rate drops all the time and my connection drops every time i make contact with another player. MW3 made me dislike Cod but I gave this a chance. Unfortunately I spend far less time on this than any other cod game I've owned. I'm not going to buy next year's one. Went back and played some Cod 4. They have never come close to that but mw2 and Bo1 were pretty good. The last 2 games have been a great example of a company milking a brand. Their online support is a joke. I read an interview with ATVI CEO and I now see that Cod will never get dedis etc as the guy is and has always been about the money(which is fair). It is no longer about the player. RIP real Infinity Ward. Rant over.

PS I can't wait for Respawn Entertainment's first game(most of original IW went there)

As OP said the game was great when it came out. Then the first update took away all enjoyment for me..weeks of insta-death. Then came the second update, the game was better. THEN they hotfixed it and it's unplayable again. There are even times where a match is going fine and then all of a sudden the connection changes and it's back to insta-death again.Without any palyers leaving or joining! The time has come to provide DEDICATED SERVERS

Yep it's terrible and ruins mulyiplayer(the main reason most of us but cod).

I noticed yesterday that on ps3 it was running version 22.211.43 which was slightly better than 22.211.42 today it's back to .42 and its absolutely terrible yet again.

Alex Conserva twitter @alexanderconserva acknowledged the problem yesterday. First time Treyarch have.

I'm the same. id like to first say i have 100mb download and 10mb upload-generally its at 80up 9down.very low latency. So ine would think that id have a grwat cod experience but no! Since 1.03 they seem to have implemented the ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL lag compensation that mw3 had. I played that game for 3weeks and couldn't take it anymore. I went back to it in August and it was marginally better but even IW admitted that the net code was poor. It's not their fault it's Demonware's. they're matchmaking and lag compensation ruined that last mediocre cod but this time Treyarch really stepped up to the plate and I was really enjoying it until they reintroduced this bullshit. I empty an entire clip into guys an they shrug it off an I die. Why bother playing a game when il at such a disadvantage. When will they just stop being so tight and introduce dedis(I actually don't want to be told how that wouldn't be a fix all-nothing would be, it's the Internet...but it'd be a damn sight better than this crap)

Ok so the same thing happened to me. I live in Ireland and got the care package at GameStop. The code for getting soundtrack worked as it was in care package. But the game disk came in a separate box. Regular looking plastic outside of CP. so I tried to download the bonus maps with the code inside an it wouldn't work. Long story shot atvi assist assured me that it would work an to just keep trying so I did..it didn't work! I called Sony where the were very helpful but informed me that the code was German and I would not be able to use it. All I want is for activision to give me a code for my region :(

Thought I'd mention that 1 of the propellers on the quad rotor is broke also rendering it useless. What a disaster

I loved it from bops launch night. It was the first map I played an I came top of team. Figured out the spots quickly. The same week I got 40 kills one death on it :) then stated playing Dom an all the other game modes. It's a fantastic map if you're good at cod but maybe not if you're an average player. It can go against you ya, because it's intense but if you figure how the other team is playing an use that to your advantage you will own. It's the best bo map along with firing range an summit. But they were all pretty good.

Mark rubin says a lot of things. Care to play some mw3 today an see how much of whet he says is true. It had become slightly better after patch 1.22 but now it's back to the same ole lag ccomp crap where they seem to rewind time excessively. I digress.

So yes it would be costly...but I along with most of the cod community would gladly pay to rent servers(a price which they could wven integrate with elite if it made sense).more than likely it would become profitable. And if we're talking realms of possibility didn't google photograph nearly every street in every city/town in the world for street view? My point being that it is more than possible and really not that difficult. I suppose they are just slow to invest in such a network as they don't know how long CoD has left at maturity(Plc). They're certainly 'milking the brand' tho.

Also matchmaking is p2p mate
