The key questions I was attempting to pose were not as to whether clans will be dissolved or reset, but were:

a) Can I redeem a double XP clan reward earnt by my clan through MW3 in the BO2 game?

b) Will there be any transferrable bonus for the BO2 domain (Bonus starting XP, in-game emblem, additional clan background etc) based on MW3 clan level earnt?

I appreciate you probably couldn't reveal this if it were the case, so it is more of a suggestion than a question.

Now that it has been announced that Clan levels will be reset for Black Ops 2 in the official Elite FAQ, will there be any scope for transferring some benefits from the MW3 clans over to BO2 clans?

Ideally I'd like to see the double XP rewards redeemable so that we still have something to play for on MW3 before the BO2 reset. Most of the benefits such as titles and emblems I suppose wouldn't be relevant to BO2, but some sort of bonus or head start based on your MW3 clan rank would be a nice gesture, especially for those who paid early and had to wait so long for the clan features to become live.

I understand this may be a little optimistic, but I thought I'd at least raise the idea. Also, if Elite is soon to be free for all, does that mean all can participate in clan ops, and all can set up a clan and enlist in events?

So much for the twitter post asking UK users whether they would prefer a 6pm, 7pm, 8pm or 9pm start! Someone more cynical than myself could assume this is a way of limiting the number of participants, thus making the verification process easier...

If you post the name of your clan then a member of the community could look up the members and see if anything looks unusual in the games that were played. Folks here are usually quite good at that, and will likely respond quicker than beachhead.

Alternatively you could go through your clan members' games yourself and see if anything looks strange. E.g. Excessive killing in one place in the heatmaps would indicate boosting. Or if something strange has happened with the connections they may suspect something.

Sounds like some progress is being made on clan ops. Can we now have some ops that are available to the majority of your users outside of the US. Even if they are at PST friendly hours. Some clan challenges would be nice too, or is this the forthcoming "classified" content drop?

A couple of possible reasons. Did any of the members join another clan first? If so the 500xp would have been left with the old clan. Secondly are you sure all the others did get the hardened edition and didn't just say so to get in the clan? If none of the above apply then it sounds like a technical issue that beachhead should rectify.

So much for the heads up on the arrival of the ops as promised in the other posts.

I too am struggling to see and therefore enlist in any ops. Then again I am trying to view it on my phone...

It would appear that we are being encouraged to play separately from our fellow clan members, as we're far more likely to achieve more kills/captures in 6 games than we would in a single game.

Disappointed on the lack of challenges also. I expect they will be arriving next month.

The problem with taking the score from the top six players is that the bigger clans should always have an advantage. Let's assume the skill level of call of duty players roughly follows a normal distribution, with 60% of players being of modest skill, 20% being fairly adept, and 20% that couldn't hit a barn door.

An 'average' clan of 100 members would therefore expect to have 20 skilled members in which the 6 best have their scores counted. A similarly 'average' clan of 10 members would have 2 skilled members and 4 average players in their scoring. It wouldn't matter if those 2 members were better than the whole of the bigger clan, they'd still lose the op. For me, it would be more fair to take an average of all those who compete. That way clans who recruited poor players just for their founder 500xp wouldn't look so smart.

None of this matters to me of course, as I'm the only premium member of my clan. I'm just hoping clan challenges aren't lagging too far behind. Looking at the content calendar I wouldn't be suprised if the "Classified" drops in May and June were clan ops and clan challenges. As with most corporate disasters, it's not so much the lack service as the lack of information that drives the customers away...
