You do know that CoD4 allows you to modify match-settings in private-matches?

Ok, I watched the video and I cleary can say:

1st: The guy with the shotgun really aims badly...

2nd: He does with pistol as well...

3rd: i can not detect any lag there...

But: In BO2 it´s all about a not proper working connection to the game. This has been reported and proofed by several players and forum-members here since month and month!

In MW3 you can see people have a bad connection - and they mostly have an clear disadvantage because of their connection. In BO2 they don´t!

Sure, it is annoying if you can not succeed in CoD because of you poor internet-connection - but it can not be like this if you have an almost perfect internet-access!

Believe me: You can handle better with people who have a shitty connection if you can see they have a shitty connection! In BO2 you almost can not see that they have a bad connection - and even worse: They can still shoot you with one shot but you will need a full mag of hitmarkers...

In MW3 it´s been opposite. They needed unnumbered hits to kill you...

I´ve driven thousands of kilometers/miles in GT5 with people from all over the world - and LAG nearly did not exist! You can fight wheel by wheel without causing accidents...even if your opponent is coming from Japan while you´re in Europe...

The only fact of "poor" driving experience is NAT. If it´s strict or moderate than LAG appears...sometimes...

"There is no "Lag-Compensation"? Are you serious? If you get 0.5 seconds disadvantage to your opponents every match or every second match, this means: The game-server is manipulating your connection to the game!

If you get better gameplay with an poor internet-connection than with an pretty perfect one, there are some influences by the game-code/game-servers!

To deny that, is simply dumb!

I´ve played CoD BO2 for almost 300hrs before I decides to sell it. I´ve played MW3 for over 600hrs...

and BO1 for over 200hrs...same with MW2 and MW1.

I had to do the "learning curve" to improve my skills - and this was challenging, fun and finally brought me some new friends...

BO2 was designed to kill your fun and steal your money and time.

Get it dude: This CoD is absolutely utterly crap!

It does not matter if you play in an Clan or for your own if you can not succeed because of LAG and connection/lag-comp!

100% agreed. Made the same experiences, started with CoD4 and ended with BO2.

I´ve sold BO2 10 days ago - and I truly do not regret this decision!

The devs do not listen to their steady customers who almost became CoD-Fans a long time ago.

They treat them like "stupid cash-machines" - instead of fixing main game-bugs.

I am fed up (because I am old enough to deny to feed those ***holes) - and I will only return to CoD if the next CoD is really able to convince me all the way!

As I can read here: You and me are not alone. The amount of utterly disappointed fans is becoming a crowd. I hope they will notice by decreasing sales of the DLCs!

AUTiger I agree with 100% of your summary!

It has been the same experience than I made with BO2 - so I´ve sold it after almost 300hrs playingtime!!!

MW3 is still much better in fact - but BO2 killed my fun in playing CoD so much that I nearly did not play since 2 weeks now.

I´ve purchased "Far Cry 3" and "Red Dead Redemption" after selling my BO2 Copy.

The single-player-modes of both games are way more challenging than all CoD´s together...

The multiplayer, uhm, 3rd person in RedDeadRedemption is nothing I want - but FPS in Far Cry 3 is "ok". The problem there is not "LAG" but Framerate slightly is...even if it´s only running in 720p....

Maps, Gamemodes and Lobbymaking are very different - and might be comparable with Battlefield....

So Treyarc - you ruined CoD-Series! There are some serious alternatives - and more to come for PS4 for sure!

I doubt that CoD will stay on top of the FPS-Ranking any longer...

It´s a crap - and the Devs do not listen to steady customers since month now!

I´ve done right to sell it - and boycott the game 100% now! Thanksfully I´ve not bought the Season-Pass....

I also play almost every day since BO2 was released - but:

Since 12 days now I am suffering of LAG especially in DOM so much, that this game is absolutely unplayable!

I normally have a positive K/D and normally do over 400 spm in DOM - but since 10-12 days I almost go negative and do much less than 400 and sometimes less than 300spm!

The reason is as clear as annoying: It´s all about LAG only!

You can not win gunfights if your enemy has 0.5 seconds advantage. My clan is still winning the matches - but everyone gets pi**ed off after a few matches - because of LAG!

It´s since 10-12 days...so something must have happened!

In TDM it´s less - or almost not existing. Everything looks quite "normal"...

I´ve just played a HC-TDM with randoms against a whole Clan (4 of them were PM´s) - and we won 75:74... I´ve made 21 kills against this camping-clan who really did not have more than 1 player moving!!!

LAG was not noticable - and everyone had 4/4 bars...

The people did not even come from my country. Neither the opponents nor my random team!

Activision needs to react - they need to kick Mr. Vonderhaar in his unprofessional *** to make him react on thousands of customer complaints about this crappy game!

I decided now not to buy one further map-pack or other DLC any more until they show us that they can work as professionals in customer support and even more in corporate behaviour, corporate communication and quality management!

Thanksfully they are only "developing" some computer games and no security-software for cars or space-ships....or worse: Missile-Target-Software....

We would die because of those "noobish" dumb kids one day...

MW3 was used by over 750,000 players on PS3 almost every day - and it never has been such a mess playing it, than it is now on BO2 since the very beginning and even more since the past 10 days!

LAG, LAG, LAG

System crashes/freeze, People with 1 connection bars meets whole clans with 4 connections bars...even if put on search for "best"....

Especially in Domination it´s almost unplayable - and more and more people deny playing on the objective there...

We´ve never seen so many players who deny playing the objective and rage quit since the beginning of CoD!

You have to realize and to accept that YOU now HAVE TO react seriously to satisfy your honest customers who already lost their trust in you and your company!

Is this your business goal to lose customers? Is it your business goal to make them feel lost and cheated?

Me and my whole Clan, 20 other friends in the game - we all are utterly disappointed, angry, fed up of this peace of crappy gameplay - and even more of this absolutely unprofessional corporate behaviour and communications!

You never use this forum to communicate what you are working on - regularily. Except "new" maps and camos....

This finally is nothing most of us are interested any longer - I personally did not even buy the "Season pass" - and so I feel "free" to deny to buy the next

map-packs or what ever your next DLC will be!

I might return to play MW3 where I did not have to suffer so much because of LAG. I never had system-crashes while playing MW3 for over 600 hours...

but I still can not count the system crashes I have had the past 290 hours of BO2!

I am still playing GT5 and other games - and it NEVER crashed!

BO2 is the only Disc that will not be ejected properly since I bought my PS3! The only one...

BO2 is the only Disc not "read" sometimes...because there might be a micromillimeter of dust on the laser....

The whole game is crap - but this still is not the truth - it CAN be fun....if...

"If" you start to tell us that you are aware of the several problems everyone! who paid his 60$ or 60€ for it and the 15-50$/€ for the map-packs/season-pass does have these problems! The one less the other more...

I am working in marketing-management since more than 13 years now - and I would leave a company immediately if it would run such an unprofessional corporate identity than 3Arch! Even Activision should now react - because they are publishing as well - and it´s their reputation as one of the oldest, most reliable computer-game-publishers in the world, that will be harmed by your unprofessionality!

To all who say "capping 2 flags is enough", yes you´re right BUT:

You´ll never receive the "ABC Domination Mastery"-Badge!

To get this you need to hold A,B and C together for 3 Minutes!!!

This is a brief evidence that capping all three flags is real domination!

I do play DOM since Modern Warfare 2 - and my team/Clan is always trying to cap all three flagpoints to rule the match - and so we do...

The only reason to hold just 2 flags might be if the enemy team is as strong as yours - or if the random respawning of enemies becomes worse (on Hijacked it´s sort of stupid to cap all three flagpoints)...

Winning a DOM-match by ruling the enemy team means to win 200-50 or 200-100.

If they can always keep their first flagpoint, the match can turn around easily because the time they are holding it increases their score constantly!

Go on and cap the third flag and don´t bother what the others say!

What is camping?

Some say: "When Ghost stops working" (because Ghost only works while moving!) - I would also say

it depends on the game-type you are playing.

The "best" campers are always these little basterds who have discovered some near-by hideouts and changing their position from the one hideout to the next all match long!

You´ll be shot by them or shoot them during the entire match from the always same positions.

Mostly using headglitching or dark corners, deep grass or what else gives maximum protection or maximum suprise-factor...

I do accept already, that "good" camping needs some sort of skill - but it´s the sort of "passive" skill you need to become a "good" camper!

Camping in fact still has got nothing to do with being a "good, skilled player".

Campers in DOM do never support their team as much as all "normal" playing dudes do.

They normally make less score, score per minute and capping less - but they do always camp to reach their higher-scorestreaks to bother the objective focussed players!

I´ve seen so many of them with high K/D in DOM - but always on the bottom of the scoreboard at the end of the game...

What is the point to have 30 or 40+ kills with less than 10 death in DOM if you still do only 2,000 points at the end? Meanwhile the best players might have 10 or 20 kills less and 10 or 20 death more but doubled score (4,000+!)!

I truly dislike real campers in CoD - even more if the entire team is only camping (yesterday I´ve seen an entire team in HC-TDM "protecting" one room on "Aftermath" - great tactics in TDM...).

I ask myself then: What would happen if everyone in CoD would seek for his personal hideout and stay there for the entire match???

If you don´t move for a minute when the game starts, you´ll be thrown out of the lobby instantly.

If you shoot down 3 teammates in HC-TDM you´ll be thrown out also...

Why don´t they throw people out of the lobby (except snipers!) who always stay somewhere (+/- 10 meters) for more than 10 seconds? They should implement this in DOM and TDM...and where ever else it might be useful...

Easter-Time experiences...wtf?!

I was just watching my Easter-Time-Stats - and it´s significant worse than my average stats during the past weeks!

On Thursday I started to notice that the connection became worse and worse. One match looked "o.k." the next was an absolutely unplayable mess!

Playing Domination was truly annoying. Any core-mode was annoying most of the time.

I decided to switch over to hardcore TDM - and it´s been much more fun for most of the time - but still annoying because of connection issues,

host-migrations, matchmaking...

Something more is touching me: My spm in DOM is normally high above 400spm - but not this weekend until yesterday. I hardly reached 200-400 spm in most DOM matches - for no more reason than connection!!!

Playing hardcore TDM brought me 400+spm at ease...if the match was not infected by connection issues...

The W@W Campaign is great - but Multiplayer is already ruined by Hacks and Cheats!

I´ve tried it a few weeks ago - and I´ve seen a "God-Mode"-Basterd flying like an vampire towards me,

eating my bullets with a smile and killing me with his first shot!

Forget about buying any old CoD - MP is hacked and full of hackers....

...thanks to the PS3 Jailbreak...

First question: Are you playing DOM alone (as single player with randoms) or

do you play with some friends?

Second question: How about your enemy-teams? Do they all use headset (or most of them)?

Do you have the impression they are playing as an real team?

If it is like this, you should not wondering about losing!

Me and my friends do play DOM with minimum 3 players - and we win most matches 200:20, 200:50, 200:100...

Unfortunately you are right! I´ve made the same experiences for the entire week - especially since thursday (easter-time!)...

Even without Easter: On some days it looks like "one match normal, one worse!"...

People rage quitting? I do not even know when the last match ended with the 12 players with whom I started...!

But: I noticed this in MW3 already - and in BO1...

It might be because I am (nearly) always playing with minimum one or two friends - and we all are "game-changers" - which means: We all are able to change a games result on our own...

For BO2 it´s quite not the only reason - because I also "rage quit" sometimes.

I have to - because it seems pointless to me to stay in a match when the entire enemy team has an 0.5 seconds advantage in "reaction time"!

If you normally (even in MW1, MW2, BO1, MW3!) go positive and do your 20+ kills and minimum 3,000 points in an DOM match, you doubt it can be real that you once are unable to kill anyone, to cap anything...but you could the match before and the years before...

...in fact: It´s not all the truth why many people rage quit. It´s because they lost their trust in the game - and always think "There´s something wrong with the enemy-players, so I better leave!".

...and finally it´s those killwhores who are obsessed about their K/D who leave when they discover they are playing against skilled players who are able to be the pain in his ass!

Solutions? 3arch/Activision should start to communicate that they are acting on the issues we all are talking and complaining about since days, weeks, month - years!

Your public IP has got nothing to do with the IP of your router or your PS3-IP!

The settings I showed you will not be effected by your changing public-IP!

Your "WiFi"-Modem seems to be a "WiFi-Router" because you are running several different devices on it to go online! A modem can not provide more than 1 device in general.

Search for your routers manual and the documentary from your internet-provider about your contract and work down the steps I have shown.

First go and buy an Ethernet-cable that works with your Router/PS3 (10/100 Ethernet)...

Connect your PS3 with your Router (take care the Ethernet-cable is long enough but not longer than 10 metres if possible!).

Be aware, that the custom IP put in the DMZ of your router (inside your home-network) is only used by the PS3-System because this IP-Address has unlimited, open and vulnerable access to the internet!
Do never use any other device with this IP - especially no Personal-Computer!!!

The firewall of your Router will be bypathed for this IP only so the rest of your home-network still keeps secured by it!

My wife is from Thailand and I am German ...ok, let´s try to give you some tech advice:

1st.: You are using a router or a modem?

2nd: Your internet has broadband-bandwidth?

3rd: You have a PC connected to your router/modem?

If you can say yes to 1-3, we will find a way...

First you need to check your router-setup.

To get into the router-setup-menue you need to open your internet-browser (do not use "Firefox" because it might not work!) and type in the IP-Address of your router (it should be written down in your providers-documentation/contract-information/manual).

Then you need to log-in into your router.

If done, search for "DMZ-Function" which means "De-Militarized-Zone" (it´s got nothing to do with military!!).

If you find it, you get the choice to type in an custom IP-Address (for example your routers IP is

190.170.2.1 you type in an IP between 190.170.2.100 - 255).

Then you need to save this settings.

Next step: Assign this IP-Address to your PS3-System

Start your PS3 and go on "Settings" in the XMB-Menu

Scroll-down on "Network-Settings"

Choose "Internet-connection-settings"

Choose "custom"

Choose "Ethernet-cable"

Choose "Automatic"

Choose "Manually" (or "custom") (IP-Address)

Type in your customized IP-Address first

Subnet-Mask (might be default 255.255.255.0)

Type in your routers-IP-Address next.

Same under "Primary DNS"

Secondary DNS might stay on "0.0.0.0"

Choose MTU "Auto"

Choose Proxy-Server "Auto"

Disable UPnP!!!!

Press "X" and save changes.

Done.

Hope this will work...

I am sorry for you because I can not provide an solution...

The reason for your bad-experience might be those:

your bandwidth did not fit with being host
your next internet-hub was too busy (because of weekend/easter)
the CoD BO2 servers are overcrowded (because of weekend/easter)
being host sometimes kills your PING - so u r always up to 0.5 seconds late!

So you use "W-Lan" right?

I am not wondering your NAT is switching...but I am wondering you got your NAT on open with W-Lan...!

Use a 10/100 Network-cable between your Router and your PS3 and use "DMZ" and everything will be fine - except your Router uses 4G/(LTE)...

??? He did not tell us if he´s using 3G or 4G or W-Lan or wired-Lan!

If he had "NAT-Open" before it looks like he was using "automatic-settings" or "Port-Forwarding" - and

"Ports" sometimes get changed by the ISP...

I made similiar experiences with BO1 - and it´s been my Router who did not work properly any more so I needed a new one...

I can not answer to your question - first I need to know how you set your PS3?

Do you use all settings on the PS3 on "automatic" or did you give her a persisting-IP and set it into your routers DMZ?

Or do you use "Port-Forwarding"?
