You can definitely hear footsteps when it's quiet. Unfortunately, you can only hear them at roughly knife range, so the effective benefit of the perk is that you get a nanosecond's warning that you're about to be knifed but not enough time to do anything about it. I check the theater and NOBODY is firing at me. It's simply the claymore instantly killing me.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And 5hp is HORRIBLY small. Anything in the game can one shot you at any range. This means if you take a single bullet/pellet from anything in the game, and then take an explosion from a C4, Semtex(Stuck, not close range), a Bouncing Betty, or a Claymore. You will die.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So if you trip someones claymore or betty they'll be able to hear you coming. And they will only need a single bullet to kill you, assuming you survived the explosion somehow.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And Semtex will take over half your HP even with blast shield (130 base damage halved is 65, -5percent would be around 59-62) so you cannot survive two semtexes with blast shield.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;p&gt;Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the &lt;strong&gt;multiplier is 0.55&lt;/strong&gt; for blast shield, i.e. a &lt;strong&gt;-45% reduction in damage&lt;/strong&gt; from explosives -- in other words, it is worse than you think. All 200-damage explosives (betties, claymores, C4 . . . others?) are fully capable of killing a blast shield user with one detonation. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The better approach, IMO, would be for the multiplier to be 0.45 (a -55% reduction). I can't see that as a huge priority for anyone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Underpowered weapons only become an issue worth addressing (IMO) when an &lt;strong&gt;entire class&lt;/strong&gt; is underpowered (compare the relatively recent LMG buff). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And the obvious remaining candidate for rebalancing is &lt;span style="text-decoration: line-through;"&gt;shotguns&lt;/span&gt; -- er, handguns.&amp;#160; The MW3 pistols, as pointed-out above, are useless in their present state -- the MPs outclass them in damage and RoF and swap nearly as fast (esp. w/ everyone using sleight of hand pro). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Rebalancing buffs might include (I'd go further than Arcanine's suggestions): &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- cut raise time by 50% for all handguns for an extra-fast swap even w/o SoH;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- fix starting ammo count when akimbo'd; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- magnums do 50-35 damage (2-3 HK) / non-magnums do 40-25 damage (3-4 HK); &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;- to balance among the three magnum handguns, give the MP412 a faster reload and the Deagle a x2.0 headshot multiplier.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:54a86c8a-de2f-4c8a-a739-4a57bb09e655] --&gt;</description>

I ran straight into an enemy laying prone and never saw him or a red name. He knifed me in the foot and killed me, haha.
