I'd really like to see drop zone return also.. and I know a lot of other people would. It's a great game mode. Hardpoint is similiar.. but it's poorly designed for points IMO. You can be the only one holding down the "zone" for your team and still not be recognized by getting any points other than the initial capture.

Looking for good Drop Zone players

I play as tiggitytopgun. I basically play exclusively drop zone. I have one other good teammate, and I never play without him on my team. I'm looking for a few other solid drop zone players to join our team and keep our win ratio, and yours, very high.

We each average anywhere from 3,000 to 4,500+ points per game, depending on how much our teammates suck. I'm looking for players who play relatively the same and play purely objectively and aggressively toward it.

You should have good strategy:

You should use tac inserts regularly to stay near or in the zone as often as possible. You can use trophy system/other if you feel you have a good reason that it better suits your style and gives you a better score.

You can't back out of matches, we finish every one. We play for win ratio, not KDR.

You shouldn't be randomly wandering around or sniping out of the zone.

Don't get attached to your care packages. Take whatever you can and share whatever you can. It's to benefit the team.

You should have a very strong understanding of where the next zone will be during game play. While we can't predict every exact zone every time, you should be able narrow down the next zone to at least two possible locations. Head that way if you respawn in a random location with ~10 to 15 seconds left in a zone to get a head start.

Know some of the "trick spots" to get points from on several maps.

I know you're out there. You want to have the support that on your team that we also desire. You want a sick win ratio.

For this month, our win ratio is each around 13 to 14. I have 403 wins and 31 losses for June. For July, we are 550 wins with 1 loss from a network error.

Our highest win streak is 550+ drop zone matches. We regularly reach 100+ match win streaks. It's common that our matches end within a few zones with a score of 7500 - 300. We're going to try to have a long term win ratio for drop zone in black ops 2 of about 100. This is more than possible with good teammates, like you.

Your overall skill and control of the game is pretty great. You could even play a little more aggressive objectively though imo. Not sure why you're not in the first zone more. That is the zone that requires arguably the most aggression. Get in there with your SMG and throw down a tac insertion and stay there. I wouldn't be sniping in that situation either, you wouldn't have missed your first kill if you had your SMG in that spot. Nothing you can do about the sniper up on the railing for your second death though. Although that kind of player, not going for the zone, is exactly the type of player you want on the enemy team, so no complaining there. Good job heading to the 4th zone ahead of time. Getting there before it even starts is a huge advantage. Another good time for a tac insertion, although you should probably be using them constantly. You also should've been able to predict that the zone goes back to the first zone in the center after it cycles through all the zones, and get there a little ahead of time.

Overall, nothing you could've done, I even lose matches with my amazing teammate occasionally. It's just due to the other teammates not even considering playing objectively. That doesn't end very well when you are against a group of 6 who are actually going for the objective, although it's rare to run into that.

You're not bad overall. Id' be interested in seeing your win ratio and playing some DZ with you. We could use teammates like you, and vice versa. View my post and add me if you're interested in playing:

I'm from Marquette, Michigan. and LOL, that's the worst comment regarding drop zone strategy I've ever heard.
