How do I get ELITE to recognize my copies of Black Ops 2 for PC?

About a year ago I bought Modern Warfare 3. ELITE was not available for PC at the time. Now it is. I chose PC as my platform, yet my copy of Modern Warfare 3 won't activate. Why?

I'm freezing up, no response at all. Then the game will crash. I've got a good comp, no hacks whatsoever. Good anti-virus and everything. I just got Call of Duty Black Ops and I HATE the fact that I can't do the multi-player mode.
