What Clan Operations Feel Like...

With the most recent Clan Operation scheduled for March 2, 2012 being "PostPwnd," and having a few operations in the past postponed... I can't help but feel like this every time an Operation date and time is announced: Game On!... Car!... Game On!

While I could care less for an extension of time, give me something I can use now. I'd like to see a "Free Prestige" token thrown the way of clan members.

Keep in mind it might take up to 48hrs. for any changes to appear. Also confirm that they have the small "Green" Elite Founder "Skull" icon to the right of their gamertag when they are in the "Career" screen in Elite dashboard.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought that becoming a "Founder" was an event that had a very specific window of time to join (in fact Elite extended it a month due to people having issues signing into Elite). So I'm thinking even though a person might buy a "Hardened Edition" today, and have the Founder card with the code to join etc. that... that window and opportunity may have already passed regardless.

Might be worth investigating if they have been Founders since the Elite launch in November/December, or if they became Founders very recently.

What... no audio?

Played a few games tonight, changed controllers and headsets... guess what? NO audio from the other players! Granted, the silence was a nice change... but really?!? No AUDIO?!?

Thanks for the reply ELITE_Help.

I know you folks are trying, but one can't help but think there are "too many Chefs in the kitchen, and not enough Cooks." at times. I know that there are a lot of different facets and layers to this product, but it also seems to me there is a great deal of disconnect between the divisions, departments, and teams that feed what the customer sees as one singular product.

Well I hadn't received a "Prestige Token" for completing/prestiging in Black Ops recently. So I got online and decided to try the "live chat support" system. I was help by a great lady, and she had said that my support issue would be forwarded to the tech department.

Thankfully, my Prestige Token was in my account the very next day. Thank You!

Here's where a "paying and grateful" customer gets sh*t upon. I get an email that I have to dig out of my spam folder from Activision, that states:

Following our strict code of conduct, we have reviewed your player record and will not be honoring the claim at this time. We have updated your incident and will be closing the ticket. All decisions are final, your account is noted as receiving all entitled prestige tokens.

I don't care if this was generated "after" I received my "legitimate" Prestige Token... this email is the most dubious, unprofessional, email I have ever received from a company. Talk about making a paying customer feel like SH*T! You folks need to learn a great deal about respecting "customer loyalty" and learn HOW to go about making yourselves not just good, but excellent at customer service.

Otherwise you are going to become the "Hayes" standard of video games. And we know where Hayes and Hayes compatible modems are today... (the analogy came to me considering all of the lag from TU8)

The other issue just noticed today, the time stamps for recent matches do not match. It's like you have three different time zones working on the one page Career - Summary and Career Recent Matches. The last game I played under recent matches shows 2:54am (which is incorrect as I played 11:54pm), then look at the times under career summary in the circles for KD/Ratio or Win Percentage for the same games and it shows 7:54am.

BTW, I'm on PST same as the servers in CA.

These aren't big problems, but they are little yet simple annoyances that "collectively" make the overall experience feel mediocre at best. It makes a person think you don't care what your product looks like. The fact that you beta tested this product, and we are now three months into it and you still don't care to fix the small stuff is beyond me. You folks are just making yourselves look unprofessional.

The other item that's not right is Weapon Performance stats.

Under Primary, you have all of the primary, secondary, and tactical shows up at the top of the list. Same is true for Secondary. Yet... under Equipment... all of the firearms come up first. Seems like things are a little back-as*wards there.

We get plenty of comments on Elite as a whole, but I'd like to address a few issues that are prominent on the website that I haven't seen mentioned yet.

Elite Summary Tab: The Elite Feed does not work properly e.g., a Clan Invite that I have tried to delete numerous times, keeps showing up. Notifications and Posts I have deleted, just don't stay deleted, they come back to haunt me.
Custom Classes: After you change a class and send changes, a lot of times the icons for Perks and Strike Packages don't refresh properly e.g., showing incorrect icons and titles for the Strike Packages after changing and sending changes to game. This issue doesn't get corrected until you go into a game, accept changes to classes and go back to Elite web dashboard.
Disappearing Events and Ops Badges, I entered two other events and earned bronze badges... only to find them deleted days after. With badges disappearing, I don't want to even bother with events or ops.
Thank you! For fixing Black Ops Playercard last week. At least now stats are generated, populated, and viewable.

Signed: Xfinity/Comcast cable 34dl-7ul, 14ms ping, 2ms jitter, 0% packet loss, hardwired "fat" Xbox. Just to enjoy screen jitter, skipping, frame rate issues, losing gun fights to someone with a "lag comp" in their favor, people appearing out of the blue (not talking about spawn points either).

Sometimes I feel like when I'm in the lobby waiting to go into a game I should be hearing: MODEM SOUNDS!

Well I reported to @gallp13 today... I have:

Xfinity Cable (Comcast)
34 download - 7 upload
Ping results - packet loss 0% - ping 15ms - jitter 2ms
"Fat" Xbox 360
Hardwired to router

Since the TU8, I have seen some horrid graphics, screen stutter, skipping, players (appear) to spawn right in front of me (and I'm not talking about a spawning spot), or run right by me after looking down a road and seeing nothing.

If I see the lobby can't find a 50ms game and tries to throw me in a 75ms or higher, I "B" right back out before the game has a chance to start. Then I wait to find a lobby with 50ms.

The last update had mention fixes for lag, but in my case it made it worse. Not every game, but when it happens... it's brutal and frustrating.

I have cable, 34U/7D, Ping-15ms. I uninstalled Elite tonight, rebooted the console. Not a single bit of difference, in fact the same amount of screen chatter, skipping, etc. in one game I was in.

I almost never use the console version anyway (so I didn't mind the experiment), always the web Elite version.

Virtual Shackles takes on Elite! :-)

When a "Founder" joins the clan, the 500XP is automatically deducted from their account. And this is a "one" time exchange e.g., if they leave your clan to join another, the new clan they're joing doesn't get 500XP because it's already been used once. As far as timing (how long it takes to appear) I'm not sure but would think 24-48hrs.

A lot of people are getting confused between "Premium" members and "Founders," the window for Elite Premium members to "activate" their Founder status was short. Then because of all the problems Elite had with the service, they extended it another month. So if a person joins/buys a Premium membership today, they don't have the ability to become a Founder because that window of opportunity has been closed for some time now.

Sadly, admin of a clan is just like joining a clan... "There can be only one!" Agreed though, it would be nice to have a co-manager.

The issue is, they aren't "Founding" members of Elite. They have to be "Founder/s" in order for your clan to get the 500XP. The founding members was originally a short window to become one, then they extended it a month or so due to server issues (website Elite).

There is a difference between a "Premium" member and a "Premium Founder"

Have you tried a different web broswer e.g., if you're having a problem in IE9, try Chrome. Also try clearing your browsers cahce and restarting the browser.

Otherwise you start having a bunch of folks spamming the "Lounge" with clan invites. That's not what the lounge is intended for.

In "Career" while viewing your MW3 Player Card, click on any of the recent matches you played in the game timeline. The large map to the right-hand side will have a large arrow with the words "View The Heat Map," click on that.
