Do you not realize that game glitches and hackers have been around forever? It has ALWAYS been like this... we FIX our OWN issues on servers..... asswipe. See I can cuss too... make me cool as u.

Will you all quit coming on here and complaining about aimbotters, hackers, boosters, stealth bomber hackers, laggy games with hit detection issues, long wait times, and other utter such nonsense. This is a PC forum... take that crap over to the xbox forum where it belongs, they have to deal with that stuff... you do NOT.

Go find a dedicated server to play on that has good admin (there are tons of them out there now) and you have none fo these issues. The bottom line is if you want rank ups.... this is what you get. In your drooling desire to go throught the mindnumbing number of unlocks for everything.... you get all this. In your quest for prestige 340, which thousands of other players have already, so you are no big deal, you get people who are hell bent on abusing the system.

When they introduced the whole rank up system, and turned a bunch of you mental retards in to lemmings who went giddy and crazy over it. Some of you actually think your self worth as a human is in being the first to rank up to prestige.... wow what a life goal that is. I saw guys that were rank 80 in the first week, so who cares about all the rank crap.

You are just one of thousands who think they are so cool with a high rank. Now, years later, they have to "feed the beast" by adding new and shinny things to the rank up system, making things so entirely complex that you can litterally spend hours in the lobby tweaking your loadout. And just like sheep to the slaughter... you all kept coming along. NOW you get what you deserve. Hackers, bent on going around the system to get that almight rank..... and you have the audacity to now come here and *****.

If all of you would quit supporting the rediculous peer to peer system that is in place now and quit chasing the rank crap we would get the game back we all really want. Which is a FPS.... you know first person shooter. With clans, a real community, well admined servers where you have your favorite places to play, people to play with.

COD Elite? Are you kidding me? We had COD Elite 10 years ago and it worked wonderful. It was IW who took it all away from us and now trying to bring it back as a joke. So now they finally give us back the servers and the ability to get back to "normal". Granted it is nto perfect, but it is now possible. Yet you guys are still mainlining that needle...chasing the rank...prestige..... golden starts..... FOR WHAT? Stop it.... throw some cold wate ron your face and wake up.

So from all of us here who are REAL PC players we say to you......GTFUOH... or get on a dedicated server NOW!

Go play dedicated servers. They are admined and kick and ban. I have tried both and a good server has no hackers

OK understood.... makes more sense to me now. It would have been nice fro them to allow custom clasess but I undertsand why they are not. I hate to be so sensitive on this but that part is extremely important. thx for clarifying.

I am reacting to what you said in your post. I understood youto say we can create custom loadouts but the weapons would have to be unlocked in crapnet before we could use them. Is that not what you are saying?

Well what a huge disappointment yet again. The gimped weapon selection will doom dedicated servers. In COD4 we had mod tools to fix it but if peeps have to go to iwnet to get weapons they will not go to dedis. Once again they have found a way to crush the pc community and make us conform. No sale for me. Back to BF3.

Well I don't knwo what you guys are complaining about this is FANTASTIC news. This is precisly what we have asked for from the beginning. Now you hav two choices. You can rank up and play along to unlock what you want... or you can join a server that has the weapons already and play.

The only reason to have ranked dedicated servers would be to have persistent rank follow you from server to server. What we wanted was no dang stupid rank at all. If this is truely what they give us, we will see a revival in the PC player community.

Oh and I bow to Tally since he stated it would be this way, and i doubted him....

Man you guys are STILL missing what Dante is saying. But to end all of this foolish talk here is what we will get. You will get "ranked" servers which will have progressive unlocks and be tied to a leaderboard.

You will have "unranked" sevrers which will have a totally different progressive unlock track and not tied to leaderboards.

There is NOTHING to point to anything other than this system which is what they used for Blops. That said the unrank will be a total fail, and will sink dedicated servers. People do NOT want to have to unlick stuff all over again and will juat stay on "ranked" servers. They will not allow us to do day one unlocks since that would kill their precious unlock system that the kiddie developers work so hard on.

to sum it up for you fellas, once we went to a progressive unlock system ( call it rank or whatever you want) the entire landscape of this game changed forever, and it does not appear we will be going back. progressive unlocks have sucked the life out of this and other games and now it just continues to get more bizzare with each version. Now theyare selling unlocks for cash..... Do you think that will stop? No it will get worse. And all the freaking kiddie consolers who salivate because they are now prestige 2356 and have unlocked the golden painted nuke dogs are jumping for joy in their bowl of cherrios.

Meanwhile the developers are right there with them.pathetic. All very pathetic.

Barebones means Nothing at all. Also it is not available in hardcore. That is why noone plays it. What most folks want in the "old school" world is to simply turn off killstreaks. We still like to use scopes, silencers, and rectiles.

You are kidding here right? You will not see replies to anything in this forum, or any other forum. This is not tripwire or Origin. The team that develops the COD series (whichever team it is makes no difference) are way to arrogant to do any type of communicating with the people who actually buy the games and pay their salaries.

The only communication you will get here is when the "community manager" decides to grace us with his presence and like the pope will appear on the balcony, wave to the crowd, and leave a vague post that will be a sticky that will be locked from additonal comments. Then he will go back inside and we will all feel blessed because of his presence.

If you post here or anywhere else you will be summarily ignored, for you are but a peasant and not worthy of a response. Basically this forum exists for us to talk to ourselves. It had been that way since Grant Collier left IW.

Tally you no darn good and well there is enough time left in the development process to pull this off. That engine can easily be optimized for extra DVARs and besides we are not talking about that many. That limited entity argument is old and does not hold water until the code is frozen and you try and go back.

As for the whole rank quickly argument are you serious? Di you play BO? Did you see how many fast rank servers went up? Did you see how many Nuketown only servers there are so people can rank fast? Earning rank legally even for an old fool like me can happen in weeks or less. That argument is ridiculous.

I don't post much since the words typed seldom reach the ears of the intended audience but what the heck... I have some time to kill. I am the grandpa around here and have been with FPS games since the days of Mike Powell (goggle it if you are clueless). Only say that to frame the discussion to be I certainly can speak for what the "old timers" are looking for.

Now I realize that things like dogs with C4, nuke strikes, RC cars, 7x24 nuketown servers, and any other insane things man can dream up is hear to stay. So I am not here to argue the pros and cons of that crap in the game. What I am asking for is choices. Plain and simple, choices. What bothers me most about the franchise over the last few years is not adding all the extra "stuff" in the game to attract a larger audence. What is very troublesome is the fact that the developers have made a conscience decision to "lock" the game down, and basically say "play the game the way WE intend it to be played".

Now it appears there may be a slight crack in the door to see some change there, so anything I can do to encourage that I will. Also I am going to forgo the request for mod and map tools, since that is a given, and focus on what I believe would be very simple options that could be added in the game With that said, here is what we want...

A FPS game...you know a first PERSON shooter. We would like to have an option to set up a server where the people who do well get killed by another person who is skilled at shooting and is using tactics. I can sit on a BlackOps server now and get killed 20 times in a game, but less than 5 of those would come from a persons gun. Now don't tell mewe have that now with barebones because Barebones is not it.Here is the simple way to make this work.

1) Stop with the silly rank vs non-rank already. Servers should all be ranked, with the exception of modded servers. In other words you have ranked servers, and modded servers, that is all. The only reason to seperate these was to avoid people abusing the rank system and doing fast rank up. But we are not ADDING anything to a server, we are TAKING stuff AWAY. If a rank server has all perks and killstreaks available, and we set up a server that takes some of those things out how is that a problem?

2) Give us DVARS for; run speed, all weapons, perks, and killstreaks. Very simple. Let us set up RANKED servers that allow us to turn off things we do not want to use. Code in all the goofy laser guided, heat seeking, stealth, spawn killing missles you want and drop them from the space shuttle but for the love of Mike Powell PLEASE give us a way to TURN THEM OFF . As for run speed check out how many crouch only servers there are in BO right now. Why is that? It is the only way to control the insane run speed in the game that makes it so "run and gun".

That is all from me. My list is quite simple. If I can get on a hardcore server, with the ability to turn off kill streaks, I and hundreds of others would be in heaven.

Now to the offer. As I stated earlier, I have been around the community since MOHAA. I have been modding since the beginning. I know the scripts in this game up and down, and sideways. So I am offering to help you guys code in the DVARS. Send me the scripts and a NDA. I will add the DVARS to the code and send them back, for FREE. Why would I do that? Because as a coder I can tell you guys it would that several hours TOPS to do that code. The code for those DVARS has been around for years, and it is easy to do. And if this ever gets to a dev, you guys KNOW how to do this.

I am done... others can add to it, but honestly, this is a very simple list.

We still do not know if we can rent FULLY dedicated servers from Gameservers, and run BO on it through their console. this would be the last thing that would make me feel better. I am not saying that Gamesevers would oversubscribe their boxes but I would much rather have that. Control.

JD if you read this can you PLEASE clarify that to us, and to the game server people since they are clueless on this as well.

Proof? Link to a forum post? Transcript of an email conversation? I saw on their forums they didn't know how it worked. I don't recall ever seeing where they say it is not ever going to be supported. So please, back up the **** that comes out of your mouth.

And for alls benefit they have zero intention of ever offering root (FTP) access to their files, that day is over. I am past that emotionally, but I want to still get my own box and run it even if I have to use their console, which I would have to do..... give up on full file access.. it will not happen.

No, you are wrong. Gameservers.com offers actual dedicated machines: http://www.gameservers.com/dedicated/ . Sure, you don't get SSH access or anything to it, but you can get your own dedicated machine if you so desire.

I am going to try this ONE MORE TIME. I TALKED to Gameservers today and they told me FLAT out that of I rent a fully dedicated box from them IT WOULD NOT WORK. They are NOT offering BO on a dedicated box..... DO U UNDERSTAND.....
