Connection Issues

I'm not sure if I'm the unlucky one of the bunch, or if there are others, but it seems my connection is actually deteriorating. It went from 4 bars constant, down to 2 bars when I'm lucky. My NAT type is open, as in ports forwarded and all that jazz. I have had NO connectivity issues in the past, up until around three or four days ago.

I'm not sure if it's just every good host has gone over to BO2, if I keep getting strings of crappy hosts, or if my connection is rotting from the inside out. If any insight, or just general tips, could be provided on fixing or just touching up on the problem could be provided, I'd be most appreciative.

As someone who will snipe 90% of my games, I can say well enough that we are under powered. We legit snipers, who sit back, hidden from all, and deliver crucal blows to the enemy, often are outgunned. Sure we have the power and range/accuracy, but we lack the mobility, fire rate, and ammo count you run and gunners take for granted. Camping is only camping unless you have a sniper rifle (unless you just sit in the corner with claymore at the door and watch the entrence of course).

The one shot kills are our claim to fame. Without them, we have no chance outside of dumb luck. So before you decide to get rid of one shot kills (or complain about them I should say), go out with a dragonov and see what happens to you.

For me, it'll be like most game series. I enjoyed this one, but I'll be getting BO2 the moment it's out. If I ever get bored of BO2, accomplish everything, or just flat-out feel nostalgic, THEN I'll play MW3. Otherwise, it'll be another throphy in my box of games.

Tryhard, hardscope. All made up words. In actuallity it's just "I stopped caring about winning and want to ruin the feeling of winning for everyone else". As for hardscoping, it's just another way to say "actual sniping".

Play the game how it's fun for you, but don't be a major jerk and ruin it for everyone else.

Frontier internet for online play

I'm getting Xbox Live Gold fairly soon, and am finding myself wondering; is my Frontier internet connection good enough? I'll be using wireless by the way, and last speed test I got 21ping, 7+mb down and .7+ up. Can anyone tell me if this is a good or bad thing please???

I am getting Xbox Live Gold in less than 2 weeks (waiting til payday of course) and would love nothing better than to be in a clan. I am, however, not crazy about listening to the trash-talk that is inevitably going to ensue.

Exactly. I still hold my idea, just limit the number of snipers. like, 1 or 2 per team and only 25% in a ffa.

Sniper-only playlists still seems redundant to me. No one wants to play in a round with only snipers, not even snipers lol.

Yeppers. I do nothing but snipe. I won't quickscope, but not opposed to acog or just spraying the whole clip when cornered.

I hate to say it, but you're probably right. Ah well, I can snipe quickscopers before they can even see me, so I'm fine with it for now.

Legit sniping. Takes actual skill, sneaky, and supports others. Quick-scoping. Lucky, run-and-gun, and helps no one (not even themselves). So why is it still here??? I legit snipe, and am not interested in any other "tactics" but what it's intended for. I have fun, I help the team, and best of all, no one (exception to those select few) hates me for it.

Barrett .50cal best sniper rifle of the game?

Is the Barrett .50cal really the best sniper rifle for the game, or is it really just up to skill level? Just wondering if it's decidedly the greatest in the the game, or if it's all up to the player. I've cast my vote in with the latter, but have had several tell me it's the former. Just wanting to get it cleared up so it's not so confusing!

It seems rather redundant to me to have "sniper-only" maps. That defies the point of a sniper, which is assist from range. If everyone is waiting to snipe everyone, no one is gonna have fun lol. They should do it another way, like 1 sniper per team or 25% snipers max on ffa. Makes more sense to me, just saying.

Snipers seem OP, but that's because they HAVE to be. Due to several factors, including; better at long range than short, slow reload/fire rate, and recoil, they have one shot. Regardless of semi-auto or single, because if they fail to kill you in that one shot, you usually (not counting dumb-luck of course) will locate and kill them. So with all these factors, they have to be able to compensate with their one-shot capabilities. I say them and they, but mean we and us, because I usually like to stick with strickly sniping (hardscoping).

I do agree that QSing isn't sniping, because it defies the definition of sniping. It IS, however, theoretically realistic. You don't have to look down the sights of any weapon to shoot in a general direction and get lucky. Would I like to see QSing nerfed? Yes. I would also like to see the recoil in automatic rifles and pistols set higher to help compensate for the dps they cause. I would like to see better bullet penetration through thin materials. Many things about this game, and all the other games like this one, ar OP. It's the level of skill and the ability to adapt to the changes that everyone needs to worry about.

I'm about to get Xbox Live Gold in 2 weeks, and I was hoping to get some hardscope tips from some veterns of the game. Anything you can provide is greatly appreciated!
