SOPA, Activision and New Maps...

Is it a coencidence that the US Senate votes on PIPA (Protect IP Act) the same day the maps come out? After all, Activision are backing SOPA and PIPA...

I just spent 3 hours last night playing TDM trying to win an iPad. I don't even like TDM! Done quite well with over 400 kills as I checked in recent matches. I checked Elite after to find the Enlistment had been taken down. I thought it maybe needed reviewed before the leaderboards went up, so I waited until this morning and it still isn't there. I went onto ELITE support Live Chat to find out why. All I got out of him was that "it had been taken down due to technical difficulties". When I ask for details all I got was "This information is not available", he wouldn't even to put me on to someone who could help me or even give me a phone number to a complaints department.

Now this "taken down due to technical difficulties" excuse just sounds like a bunch of lies to me. The least they could of done was send an email before hand to explain that it had been taken down.

Im tired of being f*cked around by this over paid company and I want some compensation or a refund.

Im contacting Activision to see if I will fare better there, and then IW, Sledgehammer Games, Beachead and finally Raven to see if I can get something done.

I am going to write to my local newspapers and even some of the larger ones to try and get this out in the public eye. Big companys don't like bad press. If you want to help you could do the same. The more people that back me up on this the better.

Not a great video, but I shoot a guy once and it hits him a little, then i get up close and shoot him dead in the chest and he still lives. Is it just me or is this gun terrible?

Also look at what the rendering done to the video. Jumpy car, slidy people. It wasn't like that before.

They need to hurry up and get ELITE sorted, a lot of people have already reahed 10th Prestige making Elite pretty much useless.

I think it has taken them far too long to get it working.

Did you know theres only going to be 4 Map packs out of 9 DLC packs?

That means the rest is most likely going to be Spec Ops or Crappy Avatar sh*t.

Elite was a scam and I feel a fool to have parted with my money with it.

Title says it all.

I havn't done it. I was just wondering on behalf of the people who have.

Its clearly an unfair advantage against other players, but then again it was IW/SH who put it in the game.

Is it wrong to take advantage of their mistakes?

Personally I dont think people should be banned, maybe reset or suspended. They should know people are going to take advantage of glitches so it is kind of their fault for being a little careless. Personally I think they were really lazy with this game beacuse they knew they were going to get sales.

If anyone has any information on this to shed some light on the subject that would be great.

What do you think about it?

I tried rendering for the first time today. I didn't know about the glitchyness, when I watched it back one of the Humphys on Dome jumps right into the air and I start sliding around backwards like im on ice skates or something! Lol. Was funny but not what I wanted!

It was actually a video of how much the KSG sucks, i shot a guy right up close and he doesnt die.

So much wrong with this game *cough* Elite *cough*

There are going to be FOUR map packs. The other 5 DLC packs are unknown as of yet. I posted proof of this if you search for my name it was the last thread I posted.

It was MY conversation to post here. I contacted them. If they didnt want people knowing what gets said in the support they would say that it is confidential or else disable the copy and paste feature. Its not like they gave any big secrets away or he was doing his job wrong (even though he came across a bit cheeky to me).

Yeah I think some kind of legal action is in order too. But theyre a billion dollar company and were just small fries compared to them.

The way it was advertised, and on the night of release there was a girl selling Elite and she said it was 9 map packs.

Just going by what I heard. But now we know for sure right?

Okay so I went onto the Elite Support Chat trying to fix the program guide on my browser, while I was there I started asking about the unreleased features on ELITE and this is what was said. I had a bit of trouble copying and Pasting, THE RED TEXT IS THE BIT ABOUT DLC!!!

I heard it was a bunch of old maps from MW2 and COD4, can't remember them all but I heard Shipment of all maps was coming back...Why? Don't know if this is definatley true im just going by what I heard.

Well it has been one month since the release of MW3 and CoD:ELITE.

ELITE still doesn't have all of the features,
It doesn't work on my browser most of the time,
When it does work not everything appears,
MW3 Lag is worse than ever for people with a GOOD connection, that's obviously backwards...wtf?
Spawning in MW3 is awful.
Sniper rifles and Shotguns are almost impossible to use online due to the spawning.

The list could go on but I don't see the point in posting it all here as it all just gets overlooked anyway.

So one month in and nothing has really changed for the better,

We recieved 30 FREE days guys... WOW! But it has been 30 days of it not working so we're back to square one... nice one.

Founder got extended AGAIN, not very exlusive anymore is it? It went from a few days to over a month...

Any updates MW3 has got has only made it WORSE.

And have you heard about the first upcoming map pack? LOTS OF OLD MAPS! How predictable and LAZY! We want NEW DLC not OLD Recycled CRAP!

Im outraged as you can tell with the whole shabang thats going on behind the scenes, they took our money and ran.

SO WHAT THE HELL HAVE THEY DONE THIS WHOLE MONTH!?

Theres not much point mate, Elite still isn't working properly anyway. Founder status is a scam, you get winter camo and a green title, not worth buying, I regretted it from day 1.

Before the game came out I couldn't turn on my laptop without seeing something about MW3. Interview After Interview was being posted onto youtube and blogs about how amazing this game is.

Since the game has been out, quite a LOT of problems have been found *Cough* Elite *Cough*

I havn't seen many apologies or explinations since.

Apart from the ELITE status page which gets updated once a month...

So what do you have to say for yourself IW/SH/BH?

And what do you guys think?
