Hi,

It could be a number of things.

Try quitting anything like Fraps, Livestream, Antivirus or other programs one by one and trying it. Usually its something related to graphics.

I had this problem both PC Tools Spyware Doctor.

Hi,

Yes its more graphics heavy, the graphics are more detailed and more life like.

That said it depends on what your system is.

I can play smoothly MW2 in 1980x1080 with things like specular map, shadows off.

If I do the same with WaW its still smooth-ish but i`m only getting 50-70 fps.

I struggle to play on anything lower than 1980x1080 because on my monitor it looks blocky.

Granted my system isn`t the best, but MW2 plays smoother for me. Although I prefer WaW by a mile.

Hi,

You`re probably asking on the wrong forums. Then again if you went to a cod4 fan site you`d probably get the wrong answer too.

Personally I think the game is great, probably one of the most under-rated games to be released.

You`ll play MW2 smoother than WaW though, but the graphics on WaW are better (less cartoony)

Hi,

I think its possible to mute players you don`t wish to see.

If there is a whole host of swearing you can also turn off the chat by using console, open by pressing the tilde key (` under ESC)

then type /cg_chatheight 0

This means you will see no chat text, the default is /cg_chatheight 5

Handy if you have little-uns about and don`t mind the gore but don`t want bad language thrown over your screen.

The ability to have a match mod out of the box is of course a brilliant idea, but if it isn`t ready to be played in the eyes of the masses of competitive players then it won`t be played.

Take PAM for example over Promod, it was used widely before Promod came out but as soon as Promod was release the benefits outweighed any disadvantages and PAM was resigned to the recycle bin over time.

If a built in match-mode from Treyarch was released with only basic features with such things like dust, particles etc left in then it would only be used until something which did the job the masses wanted was released. If it wasn`t possible to make user mods then after time it would fizzle out and go the way of COD5.

The beta finished well over a year ago, coming up to a year and half ago.

You can`t get them anymore and posts offering old codes get deleted.

That said the beta made me not want to get the game, because 1) I loath Castle and 2) The game felt horrid. Then I bought the real game and loved it.

Hi,

Might be an idea to get yourself Xfire (www.xfire.com) which will allow players to add you, see when you`re online, what server you`re on and more!

Very handy for clan members to keep in touch. At the very least an MSN contact or something.

This way player can contact you outside of the server, because you`re hardly going to be connected 24/7.

Try creating <yourname>+random numbers; for example chaos1234123

It might look poor, but at least you`ll get to play
