I wasn't referring specifically at technical issues (since I don't have any) and i'm trying to help as many of our clan members as I possibly can... It's just that I see less and less people coming to play on a regular basis (many of our members switched back to BC2) and I cannot foresee the interest in that game recovering. I would expect Activision / Treyarch to at least try to maintain a certain momentum going until the next game but I don't see that either.

Hey but summer's here, let's go play outside !

Is it just me or I get the vague feeling that Black Ops is already old news, a game that's already at the end of its lifecycle ? All the hype is on the "off topic" next game, there doesn't seem to be any development or upcoming patches, nobody talks about the next DLC...

I agree there are many servers but many of them are not really interesting (aka Nuke 24/7). If I tally all the servers I've been banned on and the ones that are badly admined, I only have an handful to play on now (at least I can play on my server at all times !)

I was kicked from one F.U.N server last weekend, for "not playing the objective" on a demolition, although I had the most captures of all players in the game. Needless to say I won't play there anymore !

I own and I've used the Nostromo N50, N52 and N52TE, and now playing with the G13.

The Nostromo N52TE is weak (I'm being polite...) compared to the G13. The Nostromo N52 was almost as good as the G13, though, but they're not selling it anymore ( and that's a pity, Belkin ). The display on the G13 is another bonus, although Teryarch didn't write any app for it (BC2 has a great G13/G15 display app...)

Well, I installed 270.61 but quickly went back to bet drivers 270.51, which work best IMO

My PC game is being patched as I write this, and still has 20 minutes to go ... Of course, no clue what this patch is all about ... Yes, I had the 04/22 patch.

this one seems huge !

EDIT NVM... something screwed up my game and steam is downloading it from scratch

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy SLI and running such a setup myself. I get "about" as much performance as a GTX 480 out of twin GTX 460 for about $200 total.

But why two GTX 590 in the first place ? One GTX 590 has enough horsepower to run absolutely everything today...

Even one GTX 460 is overkill for BO (with the latest drivers of course )

it's a Dell. The best you can hope for is the biggest CPU that they sold the computer with. Don't try anything else, in the end you'll lose money and your time. The problem here is the BIOS, as they only release BIOS for the CPUs they sell.

I had a Dell XPS600 which was built on a NForce 4 chipset, it was also LGA775 but the best CPU I could throw at it was the Intel EE 965.

Well, they work for me ... I installed the drivers yesterday and the game was so smooth and no longer stuttering... I then realized this morning that SLI wan't even turned on ! So, I was playing on max settings all along using just one card !

Great work from NVIDIA, IMHO

it's a moot point anyway ... Most of my favorite servers have gone with First Strike, as this is what people want to play now.

I'll get it (for free) just because I have servers !

Admins not running the map pack will get deserted servers for the next 2-3 weeks... Besides, I've removed Nuketown from my server's rotation and the map still runs.

They will probably force you to run the map pack on ranked servers anyway. If I was an evil corporation, that's what I would do

March 25th...

I have two GTX 460 (Galaxy 1GB Super OC) and I can run this game in max settings on only one card without any problems. Since you already have x64 and memory is so cheap, I suggest also that you increase it.

Hmmm... Last night, we played a match on our unranked server (12 slots) and had no issues whatsoever. We then switched to our ranked server (18 slots) and lag was pretty bad for everyone.

I think it has more to do with the number of players, the differences in pings, etc ... instead of the server type.

But... most people complain about lag when there's a Huey, so not having them helps, of course !
