      <description>&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyStart:93e72b81-445d-4db5-96f0-40657057800e] --&gt;&lt;div class="jive-rendered-content"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Let me see if I have this right...&amp;#160; They are technically giving us "ranked dedicated servers" just as they promised.... however we can't rent or run them (so no control over the server, no admins) and there is no server browser (matchmaking only) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So the 2 most important things that define what "ranked dedicated servers" means, have been removed. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There will be no admins to kick troublemakers or hackers. They claim to have a new anti-cheat that will stop cheating (a lie they used for MW2) and supposedly they are hiring an "administrative team" to monitor the servers and ban hackers (which only a complete fool would believe) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There will be no server browser, no ability to join a game by map or ping, no ability to see who is in the server prior to joining, etc. (The #1 most vital feature of dedicated servers) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Just as I predicted when they stated "BO2 will have ranked dedicated servers" they are not true dedicated servers. it will be EXACTLY like MW2/MW3. Every game full of troublemakers, teamkillers, children screaming profanity, hate speech, etc, and absolutely zero control over where you play/who you play with. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;BO2 is dead before it even launches. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;R.I.P. Millimeter scanner - see enemies through walls, Awareness - hear cold blooded users that don't show on scanner, Flak Jacket - immune to being bombed out of their spot, Shield - protection for jumpshotters and people who see them on UAV... etc.&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; IF I do get BO2 I will make a dedicated camping class and will switch my entire playstyle to that of a hardcore camper just to prove their change to ghost does NOTHING to harm campers. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Not to mention that the change to ghost, in addition to the perk that renders CUAV completely 100% useless means that UAV will be FAR stronger in BO2 than it has been in any past CoD title. (sure it's more kills to get, but you earn them with points also so in fact it's EASIER) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The return of the SR71 type killstreak (Vsat) and the hard wired perk that renders CUAV useless also means that Vsat will not have a counter.&amp;#160; - More red dots for the kiddies to chase. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It's just too easy to see how they're dumbing the game down for the idiotic children who scream and cry "waaah my UAV isn't showing me red dots, Ghost is OP" or "waaah I can't run around like an idiot without getting shot.... everyone must be camping" &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In short they're catering exclusively to the Xbox 360 audience, which consists primarily of children 6-18, and they are completely removing the competitive aspect, along with the requirement of skill.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Now those happy with the change (aka those who suck at the game) will say I am just complaining because I suck or won't be able to adapt blah blah blah.... It is impossible to keep accurate track of time with an internal count. You could count to 4 and move and not know if your count was accurate enough. So now a ghost user will never really know if he's pinging on enemy UAV or not unless they never stop moving. (Proper snipers are also still punished as they're not supposed to be moving around all the time) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;UAV's were annoying, but one could always run the stealth perk to counter them. Not ONE person complained about the stealth perk until BO introduced a way to counter it completely. (SR71) Suddenly people start to complain that their UAV's are useless and that ghost is overpowered... &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Campers will be able to see everyone except the cold blooded users, who they will be able to hear with awareness. They won't be able to be flushed out with explosives (flak jacket) they can defend themselves from jumpshotting type tactics with the shield... yeah they will have a REALLY easy time in BO2.. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;To say footsteps only matter in S&amp;amp;D is ridiculous. I play HC CTF almost exclusively, with some HC DEM and HC DOM occasionally mixed in. I can say for a 100% fact that silent footsteps are VERY important in every gametype, and can make it VERY easy for anyone with a decent headset to know EXACTLY where non DS users are.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:5b5675e6-d1a4-4888-bc9e-cdfd21eccf5a] --&gt;</description>

(Treyarch officially promotes quickscoping and wants all snipers to quicksope) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I believe what will happen to ghost is that it will be the #1 most underused perk in the entire CoD franchise (which previously was eavesdrop from CoD4) because it will be completely 100% useless for what it is intended for, stealth gameplay.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It doesn't matter how many times they 'tweak' the time limit before you show, the only 'tweak' they could do that would 'fix' it would be to make it completely 100% immune to UAV like it has been in EVERY single CoD title.&amp;#160; They have the Vsat (SR71 type) killstreak returning to counter ghost entirely, PLUS as it was already mentioned the perk was split into THREE.. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They won't be fixing it though because they want to cater primarily to the child audience on Xbox 360. They are the ones who generally suck at the game and spend all their time crying about OP perks and OP weapons. So since Xbox 360 is their biggest audience, and the majority of 360 CoD players are children (ages 6-18) they are the ones Treyarch is listening to.&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a result Black Ops 2 is going to be BY FAR the easiest game in the CoD franchise, if not the easiest FPS shooter ever made. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:07b8c283-046c-4ae8-8b37-9370d921b30c] --&gt;</description>

They really like P2P for 2 reasons. 1) They are in a party and up against randoms 99% of the time, thus making them feel superior when they easily stomp everyone... and 2) They like having random people to play against who don't know their cheap tactics/camping spots etc, and dislike having to play with "regulars" and adapt their tactics. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I play with friends every night, and the game would be stupidly boring if we were on the same team all the time because there would hardly ever be any challenge. We would win every game 2-0 (CTF) and it would just be too easy.&amp;#160; (though again that explains why people like you prefer P2P) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Nothing is convenient about having a matchmaking algorythm match you with players on the other side of the planet, only to have to back out and try again and have it put you back in the same game... No matter what the time is (afaik it's 5 seconds) it is physically impossible for a human being to keep accurate track of time (you could count to 4 and move every time, but you'll never know if your count was too slow)&amp;#160; So now a ghost user will NEVER know when they stop to reload, call in a killstreak, sight up on an enemy, etc, if they show on UAV. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;A prime example - The enemy has your flag, and you know they're still somewhere on your side of the map. So you run out to a spot that allows you to watch the open area you know they'll be crossing. Oh but wait, you had to stop to watch that spot, so you now show on UAV... ghost is useless. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They already split the perk into THREE, with two in the SAME TIER... there was absolutely NO reason whatsoever to add the condition "must be moving" - It harms non-camper stealth playstyles more than it harms the actual campers. (Campers have always been easy to kill) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Also a good flag carrier WILL hide with the flag, and move when they are found. If a flag runner is moving around the map they are doing a BAD job. I can't even begin to count how many games we've lost because the flag runner ran around instead of staying hidden. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Hell most of the fun of CTF in BO is when both flags are gone and it's a game of who can find the enemy flag runner first. Yet they still felt the need to nerf it further by putting the condition "must be mobile" for it to work. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They have essentially destroyed the ghost perk, rendering it completely 100% useless for anyone but a run n gunner. - Now a ghost user will NEVER know if they showed on UAV or not. When you stop to reload, call in a killstreak, check an open area with your sights, hell even stopping to sight up and shoot an enemy, a ghost user will always have to ask themselves "did I do that fast enough" and they will NEVER know for sure. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;That is the biggest problem, now a ghost user will NEVER know if/when their perk is actually working. In all past CoD titles if you used the "stealth" perk then you KNEW if/when you were showing on UAV. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bottom line, the nerfing and "balancing" they are doing have absolutely NOTHING to do with trying to actually "balance" the game. It is ALL being done in an effort to placate the children who come on the forums and scream "waaah my UAV doesn't work so ghost is OP" or "waaah the enemy took my flag and got away, marathon is OP" &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a result BO2 is going to be by far the easiest CoD game in the entire franchise. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:3e6743a8-7fbf-42be-9098-94b51511864b] --&gt;</description>

(in past games you knew for 100% fact if you showed up or not) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They already split the perk into THREE, and put two of them in the SAME TIER!!!&amp;#160; That was more than enough to sufficiently nerf the hell out of ghost. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They also could've copied CoD4 (PC) mods if they wanted to stop camping. - In CoD4 (PC) if you stop for X amount of time (usually around 10 secs) you put your weapon away, leaving yourself completely vulnerable. Taking the weapon back out took 2-3 seconds, and the only ones not affected where players holding a sniper rifle... &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;^^ Camping did not exist in CoD4 on PC because of that mod, and it did nothing to harm stealth gameplay.&amp;#160; If they really wanted to stop camping they would've incorporated that mod into the game. Their ultimate nerfing of ghost was done for one reason and one reason alone, to placate the children who scream "waaah my UAV isn't working, ghost is OP" &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The most pathetic thing is some of the replies the red dot chasers try to come up with to defend the change.&amp;#160; My personal favorite is "but uav's are harder to get now" - Yeah they take 1 extra kill, yet you earn them by playing the objective, thus they are actually EASIER to get.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;BO2 is going to be by far the easiest CoD in the franchise because of these changes.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;!-- [DocumentBodyEnd:0e33d6f3-f245-4744-92af-339ea16cb05b] --&gt;</description>

Thus they promote quickscoping by punishing real snipers... yet at the same time they claim to be against it. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2) The "ghost campers" that almost all the children cry about are barely going to be affected by this change. They are skilled at "camping" because they are constantly on the move, checking corners, doubling back, keeping an area locked down. (and since they're almost always mobile, they'll remain invisible)&amp;#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3) Those hardest hit are usually the ones at the bottom of the scoreboard anyway (you know the ones with 5 kills and 20+ deaths) They are the real campers (ie people who sit in one spot waiting for a kill) and they are pathetically easy to kill. Very rarely will they ever get more than 2 or 3 kills before being killed, and then they die several more times trying to get back into one of their "camping spots" &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So quickscoping is officially promoted by Treyarch. (despite what they say) People will continue to whine and cry about "ghost campers" and the horrible players will have even worse stats and drag their team down even more. They don't even have proper server logs!!&amp;#160; There is nothing about them even remotely like a "CoD4 style server"&amp;#160; (Except maybe that they're both called servers) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Now think about "ranked dedicated servers" and what that means... Primarily a server browser with filters/favorites list, Admins to kick/ban hackers/troublemakers, Servers with various map rotations (even 24/7 map servers, or ones that exclude small maps) &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;We could get our "ranked dedicated servers" in BO2 without any of those features. No browser (just matchmaking to connect to servers) No admins (if they can't kick/ban they may as well not even be there) Stock map rotations (no ability to set up rotations of certain maps or avoid other maps altogether)&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; -- If anything even remotely like that happens, then the "ranked dedicated servers" they give us would be no better than P2P. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="min-height: 8pt; height: 8pt; padding: 0px;"&gt;&amp;#160;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;They haven't said anything other than "ranked dedicated servers confirmed" so just like MW3 we have no clue in reality what we are getting. Another reason why NO company ever (especially gaming companies) should ever use Twitter...
