yes, but you have to do it just like it says. after you do it let your ps3 completly cool before moving it around as the solder will not be cooled and hardened yet. while it's cooling down it will make alot of crackling sounds so don't worry when you hear it

Black ops and mw2 cannot cause YLOD. YLOD occurs when the ps3 over heats and causes the soders to reach their melting point. at which time, the chips disconnect from the board.

Keep ps3 in an open area and clean the vents.

i know they can't cause it, it just happened to be the game i played the most when i got YLOD.

I searched on how to fix it but it says take ur hard drive out but nothin happens.
