This is a video my friend got on Firing Range. It was made a couple of days ago.

Rediculous knife lunge, or intense lag?

Even if this isn't a lunging problem, they need to at least fix their game so that it doesn't do stuff like this.

It's also not just theatre that showed this. I distinctly remembered how quickly I was killed because the douchebag using the gun sprinted off IMMEDIATELY after the kill.
Re: Why Bother Prestiging??

nathan741 wrote:

I am level 50 1st prestige and everyone is telling me to prestige again but i don't see why.

When you prestige you lose all your guns and perks in return for a new badge. I really don't see the point and would like to know why on earth people do it.

I prestiged once and hated it. Especially getting the pro perks back.
marathon - forcing me to play CTF
tac mask - big pain in the arse
ghost - no friggin sentry guns
flak jacket - rarely encounter frags, let alone uncooked ones.

The extra slot isn't that good either. realistically you aren't going to change your class 5 times in one game.
I dont think prestiging adds to the longevity either. i found prestiging made the game more boring, as i had a load of grinding to do.

So what is the point of prestiging, and if you prestige, why?

I prestiged the first time in hopes that there would be prestige challenges like in MW2, but of course, Treyarch didn't put them in (less content FTW?)
But I just went to 4th because I thought that symbol was pretty cool. But it is a HUGE pain to get pro perks back.

Combat Training Glitch

So I finally got the Marathon challenges done in Combat Training. Now it won't let me buy the pro version.

It says I have both challenges done (There is no CTF in Combat Training) and I still can't buy it. When I hit Square on the perk, it keeps showing the challenges.

I know it's just Combat Training, but I enjoy it a lot and it's much funner than multi-player when none of my friends are playing.

This just needs to be fixed.

On today’s episode of, “What the **** – are you kidding me!?” Treyarch seems to think that PS3 gamers are happy with their version of Black Ops and that it’s impossible to ship a bug free game . . .

Embattled Treyarch community manager Josh Olin recently said in an interview to VideoGamer:

“It is unfortunate that those [bugs] have to exist at all. In an ideal world we would love to ship a completely bug-proof game. I can’t think of a single developer in the world, though, that could achieve that,” he added. There’s hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of players on the PS3 who have absolutely perfect, pristine experiences,” he said. “I talk to them everyday – I see @replies to me on Twitter all the time from people going ‘I don’t know what people are complaining about. The game is perfect for me!’ So they do exist. I know that doesn’t make the people who are experiencing problems feel any better, but it should put it into perspective.”

“So we’ve had, like, six or seven patches, depending on which platform you play on, since the game came out – so we’re talking six or seven patches over the span of two to three months. That’s a lot of post-release support, and that’s something that we’re going to continue – that’s not going to stop.”"Even if the bug is only hurting a hundred fans, if we can find the cause we’ll patch it,” he added.

So there you have it. The official statement from Treyarch boils down to – Nobody can release a bug free game. People seem to like our game anyway. We’ll keep patching it (like six or seven more times) until it works for everyone even though the game has been out for months.

The people that don't have bad experiences are casual gamers. If you're someone who plays regularly, like me, you will understand how this is a terrible game.

I'm 4th Prestige, level 12 or 13 and this game is terrible especially on the PS3. I've played several hours on Xbox and it runs perfectly. I'm a decent player, I have a KDR that's like 1.55 and I almost had a 2.00 KDR before people discovered the Ak74u (Which has yet to be patched).

The people that have problems with this game are the ones that play it all of the time and see the flaws in it. They have also played other Call of Duty games, like myself. The people that don't have problems have never really played something as nice as CoD4 because they are casual and didn't play it as much as a hardcore gamer, or are new to the series and don't know what an exceptional Call of Duty game is.

That being said, Josh Olin only really listens to the people that have something positive to say, and if someone says something negative about the game, he usually flames them or responds back with a smart-ass remark.

Simply put, it's a bad game that was made by a mediocre developer. I do give props to Vahn though because he is more of a community manager than Josh Olin.

Regular Ghost is hard to use since it only effects Spy Planes. Ghost Pro is really good, but it's harder to get because people don't use Sentry Gun enough.

I never really see people using Ghost too much though. So idk why people complain about it unless someone is sitting directly in a corner.

Another good idea is the 2-hit-kill from the front and 1-hit-kill from the back. The problem with this is that the game has trouble making the difference between whether you hit the guy in the front or in the back.

There was one time when I was trying to get my final backstab for Ninja Pro and I knifed someone in the back but didn't get the Backstab medal. That's the problem with this idea. Not a bad one though.

In any case somehow he was pissed at the negative comments of pundits and fans, how amazingly ironic. He felt that some people were "contrariarn just for the sake of it" and "overly negative", bull.

Here's the article on GI: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/02/02/treyarch-39-s-olin-blasts- pundits-and-angry-fans.aspx
Lmao.... Imma get started on Josh Olin.

The guy is a complete and total *****. The Stealth Clown was a better ******* community manager than Olin is. Hell, Vahn is a better community manager, and it's not even his job.

On the 2nd article, he implies that Nuketown has good spawns

"Practically every lobby was Nuketown, which is why we patched in a limit to how many consecutive times a map can be voted. It wasn’t because the map had the best spawns, or the ideal objective layouts – it was because players could go on 150 kill, 10 death killstreak rampages pretty much every game due to how small and open the map is."

... The ****** has probably never even played Nuketown.

He doesn't listen to the community. He just posts useless **** on Twitter, and when someone asks him a question on there, he just smarts off to them like they're completely retarded.

**** Josh Olin. They need to sack him and his cross-eyed self!

This is actually a good thing!

This means that they have an entire month to find out the glitches on the map, so that when PS3 gets it (if we even get it), the glitches will either be patched already, or be in the process of being patched.

Then again, it will probably just finish off everyone's Playstations, since they're almost broken from playing BlOps.

Point is, be happy that we are getting it later. This means all of the retards won't be able to glitch so much.
