What's up with the servers?

Got disconnected twice telling me to check status link on callofduty.com. All is good but not right now. Just wondering if this has to do with the trial period for the maps this weekend.

I really wish I could have saved and showed you guys what I just witnessed. I started playing a game of dom on vertigo and everything seemed to be normal, then we had a host migration a few seconds into the second round and that's when everything got crazy. After the host migration neither team could kill each other!! I mean both teams were shooting each other and bullet count in my gun was decreasing but no hitmarkers and no bullets connected. I ran and stood right in front of an enemy sentry gun and it was shooting me but it wasn't damaging me. It was like both teams were invincible. Then myself and another guy on the enemy team were talking and we stood right in front of each other and started shooting... nothing so we both jumped to our demise and I was stuck out of map and could not respawn. I could watch my mini-map and see people were still running around, but stuck in limbo in the clouds. I had no choice but to gladly quit the game. Has anybody seen anything remotely like this before? Any idea what the heck happened? Thanks.

I know there's a gazillion posts about lag on every COD forum but I've always skipped reading them because in my own COD experience the lag was quite managable and only a few games a night were bad enough to quit out (aside from the horrific lag comp introduced in MW3 of course). But the last week or so EVERY game is lagging at least a little. I KNOW its not just my connection because I ALWAYS play with 3-5 friends and they are all experiencing the same thing I am. Did they wreck something in the last update? I hope with the new consoles coming out they can improve this or at the very least start looking at dedicated servers.

This is more of a XBOX Live question really. Got to work in The Netherlands for a few weeks, and boy is it dull here. Therefore would it be possible just to plug my Xbox into my guesthouse's wireless, and smash in a few ours of COD? I know some XBOX content won't be accessible such as iplayer, but will I have any access to my Live account?

IM looking to be part of a team or creat a team that is very good and never looses i just reset my stats but i can be good with very good teamates i like to play demolition because i hate spawn switching but ill play anything if you want to start a team like this just post your gt on here or if you already have a really good team that i cold join. and mabye we can creat a clan a good clan only and by being good i mean like being the top on every leaderbored basicly.:P

Probation

I personally like that Treyarch introduced probation in Black Ops 2. It only kicks in after leaving an obscene amount of games, which really isn't an issue unless you are a poor sport that rage quits at the first sign of being challenged by the other team.

We all have joined matches that are almost over with your team losing, but instead of just leaving the match, you should just stay in the game and wait for the next map to load. Half the reason that you even join these losing matches is because others rage quit before you, and you leaving this game out of frustration just creates a feedback cycle; probation aims to end these scenarios by providing a negative consequence for rage quitting.

tl;dr = probation is good because constantly rage quitting is pathetic.

So between Revolution and Uprising there was 77 days between them. So if u start from April 17th the day after Uprising and count 77 days it would be July 2nd which is a Tuesday when all DLCs come out. So it makes sense

I pre-ordered Call of Duty Ghosts at Best Buy and I didn't get a code for the Ghost Camo. I typed in every code on the receipt more than once and they are all wrong. I cannot get the camo and I am not very happy.

Do you get to keep the peacekeeper after the free revolution trial?

Pro Perks

Making people have to earn the 2nd attribute of each perk gives players something to work towards when playing. I always liked the feeling of "**** Yeah!" when I finally finished all the challenges for a perk in BO1.

Bring Back Equipment Slot

Have a slot for Grenades(frag or Semtek), a slot for Tactical Grenades(flash, stun, decoy, smoke, gas, EMP), and a slot for equipment(Claymore, Tactical Insertion, Jammers, Cameras, Trophy System)

Slower Player Movement

They need to slow it down just a tad. The current run speed only adds to the problem of bad hit detection and makes lag more noticable. If a player wants to use the Lightweight Perk to be able to run fast and be hard to shoot, then that's what the perk is for, but not all players should be able to run down a hall and around a corner in a split second.

Team Tactical Matchtype

No idea why they took it out for BO2. It had a strong player base, and offered a style of gameplay that no other match type covers. It should include a rotation of TDM, Domination, Demolition, Sabatoge, Search and Destroy, and Headquarters.

RCXD at 5 Kills

I'd be surprised if the next CoD doesn't have it. People seem to like driving this thing around, but there is no reason it should require less kills to earn than the Predetor Missile. In BO1, I have more deaths to the RCXD than any other 3 killstreaks combined. I like how in BO2 they made it take at least 4 kills and they made it a little easier to shoot, but I'd still like to see it take one more kill to earn.

Scorestreaks for each Custom Class

MW3 had the right idea. Bring it back!

Last Stand Perk

this perk is always under fire, but they always make it a little OP. If they just balance it out, I don't think people would rage about it so much. It was best designed in MW2. (side arm only, and no revival)

Why does BO2 have so many fewer features than MW3? A good CoD should be "more" than its predecessor. The next CoD should have new game modes, perks, and killstreaks, as well as ALL the previous ones that have been "tweaked" if need be, but not removed.
